The father(Nick)I believe was very rude on multiple occasions. Not understanding or much help when needed repairs. Even an instance where he rang while I was in office and shouted at me over a misunderstanding that was not necessary for loud hostility. He would also show up on occasion unannounced with a bad attitude, demanding to inspect at his will and hurling demands/intimidation. Couldn't be bothered by certain repairs after paying increasing rent and fees each year. Also remarks about following Trump and how he disagrees with the opposing. Innapropriate commentary while conducting business with politics. As a multiracial family with children, would not recommend this company. Especially if you are not white. Kindness goes a long way as well as empathy. I feel for those on the wrong side of his business that have had to deal with that man in court. Sounds like a complete nightmare. Albaugh & sons recently made a deck and screened in our outdoor living for us. They have exceeded our expectations at every level of the project completion. Nick was the first one to come and give us an estimate. He's very honest & professional. Tiffany was also very helpful during our visit to their show room. She answered all our questions, and kept us updated through out the project. Danny was our site supervisor during the project. He was always available during and after project for any kind of help. Salvador and his team made our deck to exceed our expectations in record time of three days. Cullen is a great asset to this company, he's a skilled carpenter who made a perfect frame for an existing outdoor living to install screens. Cullen, Matt and their team also did an amazing job. We're extremely pleased with both deck and screen jobs. One best thing we love about them was they left our site really clean every night while they were working. This is the best experience we've had with any contractor we've worked in over 25 years. We've already started working with Brooks for finishing our basement. After all the frustrations and disappointments that came with building a house, we contracted Albaugh & Sons to add a deck to the back of our new home. They showed up on time. They came every day and worked all day until the project was done - even on the coldest and dreariest of days. The cost was exactly what they had estimated. The deck they built is amazing. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I found out why their quote was the cheapest. They botched my job. They refused to fix their mistake. They had a lawyer send me a laughable letter threatening "injunctive relief and damages" to try to stop me from posting this review. And, their lawyer's letter was about something I had not even mentioned, sagging, that was NOT THE PROBLEM. They could not even get THAT right. I gave them ANOTHER opportunity to fix their botched job, and they still refused. I used my new gate and latch exactly THREE TIMES, and the latch fell off onto the ground (see photos). It was an amateur job with one tiny screw and one large screw. Their receptionist Katie Gastley told me that the foreman wanted to "talk to me about it." I replied that he did not need to talk to me about it. They just needed to fix their mistake. Then, the receptionist said that they HAD come to fix the problem, but the gate was locked. But, that was NOT TRUE. The gate COULD NOT BE LOCKED, because their latch had fallen off onto the ground. The gate could not close, could not latch, and could not lock. The gate could only HANG OPEN. Then, they came, but THEY DID NOT fix their mistake. They did it WRONG AGAIN! AGAIN, they used very small screws, and it was so loose it did not work. It rattled back and forth and would have fallen off again. I bought the right sized screws and other hardware, and spent two hours trying to fix it myself. Then, I figured out why it was so hard to fix. The gate is PIE-SHAPED. They had not bothered to make it SQUARE. The problem caused the FENCE POST TO SPLIT APART. The gate was built from scratch by them. It does not open or close properly because they made the gate wider at the top than at the bottom. They refused to answer why they did this. If they fix their botched job, I will happily update this review. read more

We used Albaugh and Sons to install our fence. They met with my wife and told here that they wouldn't install the rear fence section at the end of our property due to an easment and the water drainage issue. At the time there were no homes built yet behind our home. Two years later houses are built behind us and the new owners want to put up a fence. We receive a letter from the HOF ordering us take down our fence within 30 days because it was not installed at the end of our property. We contact Albaugh and Sons and they send someone out to discuss the problem. The same person that supervised the installation. He recalls with my wife why it wasn't put up at the end of the property. They give us an estimate to move the fence which was almost as much as half the fence. I understand that cost of materials has gone up and am ok with paying that amount. We decide to appeal to the HOA. I contacted Albaugh and Sons and ask them to put something in writing stating why they didn't install the fence at the end of the property line. I was told that this would help us in our appeal process. They assured us that they would have no problem providing this. I called asking for the owner on multiple occassions and was told every time that he would call me back. A week later and multiple calls asking for the letter i was told the day before the hearing that they were NOT sending it. I asked on multiple occassions to speak to the owner. I was told he would call me back to discuss. I never received the letter or a call from the owner. The owner basically called my wife a liar through his assitant that screens the calls. He said that he spoke with his supervisor and he said there was never a conversation about why they wouldn't install the section of fence at the end of our property line. She further stated that it was turned over to their insurance and legal people. I have several questions......... 1.Why would anyone not want a fence installed at the end of their property line? 2.If you install fences in an HOA shouldn't you be aware of HOA rules regarding the proper installation? 3. If you did nothing wrong why would you need to get your insuarnce and legal people involved? 4. If you own a business, have an unhappy customer and promise to call them back then why wouldn't you? read more

I was surprised by the negative reviews here. Research other review sites...We had vinyl fencing installed. From beginning to end, the interaction with this company was wonderful. They were professional and communicative. The contractors performed the works professionally and efficiently. They were also respectful of my property. There was a very minor blemish that we reached out about and they VERY quickly resolved it. 5 stars all the way! We highly recommend. read more

Run the other way. I submitted a quote request online. Initially I was impressed that "Jessica" responded quickly to get details so she could get me a rough quote. After that went downhill. She gave me a quote that was about $2000 more than the three other quotes I received. So we set up a date for them to come out and measure so I could get a more accurate idea of cost. They didn't show up for the appointment. When I called to find out what was going on, "Jessica" informed me that she didn't receive my confirmation email about the appointment (baloney, she responded to every other email but that one?). She offered me that Friday instead. I had already taken a day off work so I called and got supposedly her supervisor, that person offered to come out same day and put me on hold to confirm a time. When she came back, she said she no longer had today or any other day that week (um, but didn't Jessica just offer me Friday??). At that point I decided if this is how they act just trying to get a quote scheduled, no thank you. When I mentioned that to the "Supervisor" her response was "ok, bye". My neighbor and I wanted to fence in our yards for our dogs so we called Nick to get a quote done. We signed with them and went away for Memorial day weekend and came back to fully fenced yards! Both fences look great and they did a nice job cleaning up and leaving the houses looking nice even though we were not there to see. Great work at a great price. Unfortunately would not recommended this company. We had beautiful deck and fence built initially. We had a few bad boards, including one that continually excretes sap. We called countless times asking to come and repair these few items - always would be in the next week, but they would never follow through. Finally last time we called they said we don't do repairs anymore and questioned if they even built our deck. Very bad experience and would never use again or recommend. Ultimately had to get another company to fix these mistakes. read more
