He didn't even see me post surgery to tell me what had been done. The people, the staff , and administration is a hot mess. Getting a call back, wasn't easy, but nothing like the way they make you waste your time. You're supposed to call when you're on your period because everything is based around that, but only if you're lucky do you get an appointment on time. One day, after I had my first ultrasound post surgery, and asked if it was the right time to start taking the medication , my nurse Anay in Miramar had no clue and got defensive the more questions I asked. Mind you it was my first time starting any fertility treatment and I needed education. She was super unprofessional, and I came out of that appointment more than confused and overwhelmed. Apparently the system was down at the time and no one can give me an answer, come to find out I should have started the pills on that day so there went another month wasted. Then one month later, I go in for another base ultrasound again, as soon as I got there, to my surprise, there is bloodwork that needs to be drawn right after the ultrasound. I go and check in a couple of times to see why I was waiting so long (I waited 2 1/2 hours) the girl at the counter would always tell me I would be next. by the third time I went to the counter, She dug a little bit more into it and then she finds out that I did not need bloodwork that I had already completed my ultrasound and I was ready to Go. they made me wait 2 1/2 hours, I was late to work, and not even an apology. Again the staff and the administration lack so much knowledge, it's surprising to me how a prestigious doctor in the middle of Coral Gables who is so expensive, has staff that is so unprofessional, and have such a little knowledge and empathy in the subject matter. The turn over is crazy too, every time I went I dealt with new people. On another visit, they drew my blood work under the wrong last name, so she tosses the lab tubes and pokes me again without explaining what was going on. It wasn't until I insisted and she hesitated and sent me back out One thing I found peculiar was that they gave me no choice, but to use their specialty pharmacy :SMP. This pharmacy is cash only they rarely take any insurance, so good luck paying all of your expensive fertility medication's out of pocket. I had asked about using my insurances pharmacy which covers Fertility drugs, and apparently I couldn't use them. Typical Miami Scammers!!!! I got lost in the mix All I want to say is don't settle for bad service. Fed up with the awful quality of customer service at conceptions, I found another clinic, the staff is respectful and actually knowledgeable. I am able to use the specialty pharmacy covered by my insurance at no cost to me. I am more in touch with my doctor and staff. Grass is greener. Never settle for bad service.

The traditional Dr I was seeing originally saw me and gave me 2 blood pressure medication prescriptions. She then told me she would see me in 4 months for a follow up. As a 30 year old man who should not be hypertensive I was discouraged that I was quickly given prescription I would end up needing to be on for the rest of my life. Not being ok with this way of handling I was seeking a Doctor who would be willing and able to work with me in partnership in my health. Someone who was willing to sit down and get to the root cause of the issue of what was causing my high blood pressure. When I say that Dr Tami was willing to sit down and get to the root cause, the exam room literally has a regular table with chairs that her and her staff sit with me and go line by line through the many tests that are done to explain each result and what the reason for each test is and what the result tells us about my body. She also sends a recap email of each visit which I find very useful to be able to do my own research on each recommendation and I send questions or clarification to the recap email to really have a full understanding of our plan and the recommendations. This is not something that I would ever get to do with a traditional Doctor. In any setting you would think that this service would be extremely expensive however my plan is $135 a month which for all of the time and effort put in my Dr Tami and her staff is very fair. In the very short time I've been seeing Dr Tami as of today I have fully come off of one of the medications I was prescribed, thanks to the natural supplements I have been taking. I am confident that as long as I continue on this currently plan I will be able to get off of the second prescription. Dr. Tami's relationships with other providers has also been a huge plus. Once I went to a real functional medicine Dr they discovered what the cause of all of my health issues was in one visit. I really enjoyed seeing Dr Singh, unfortunately she prescribed me a new medication at every visit. Prozac, Wellbutrin, adderall, Xanax, etc. A functional medicine Dr does not polydrug their patient to mask their symptoms. Then came my 4 year long journey of withdrawal due to Dr Singh abruptly taking me off all the antidepressants she had me on. She has done this to 2 other people that I know personally, and they have suffered equally as much as me as a result. When I realized that I was in withdrawal, her only response to me was "want me to send you another prescription for Prozac?" I stayed off all the meds and finally made out of the withdrawal hell, battled severe withdrawal symptoms including depression, suicidal ideation, panic attacks and horrific akathisia just to share a few and I now feel strong and amazing and I am returning to warn others and perhaps educate the Dr herself of the damages that overprescribing can cause. I think Dr Singh has good intentions and I really loved the aspire health model. I suffered so much from the effects of her negligence that I would feel terrible not speaking out.

I could also go into how much Heather is enjoying being able to smile and do simple things like eat an apple (something she was not able to prior to the surgery). But I'll dwell on one incident that shows the type of person we were blessed to have as Heather's surgeon. The surgery itself took several hours and after its completion, it would have been perfectly understandable for the doctor to send an aide to give us the good news of its successful outcome while he grabbed a meal and some rest. Instead, he made a point of giving us the results in person, visiting us in the waiting room and being willing to answer any remaining questions. Only after this visit did he think it was time to grab himself some dinner. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Steinberg and wholeheartedly recommend him as an ace among surgeons!
