They are always well staffed and only once when the waiting area was packed as I watched it fill up very quickly, I had approx. a 20-minute wait. I want to give a shout out to phlebotomist, Sarah, at the Eiger Road location. I have gone to her several times in the last two years because I know she provides me with the upmost care when drawing my blood. My veins are small so she takes her time to find the best vein without several tries. She is professional and pleasant each visit. I am grateful for her. The check in staff have always been courteous and up beat. I recommend making an appointment as their office can be very busy. read more

Had a simple blood draw at CPL on Brodie Ln at about 8 am 12 Aug 2025. Normally I have good experiences here but today was a nightmare. I was called back to the station and all I smelled was cigarette smoke, the lab person was playing music on her cell phone, she was moving items around, dropping things was very disorganized. I have VERY good veins and considered a easy stick, she went through a large vein on my arm had to pull it out and do it again, she unseated a vail then determined she needed to add more. She had zero customer service skills. I will never allow her to do my blood work again. read more

Was told to come back before 5:30 got back at 5:15 and then was told that they didn't have enough time to do my test. This was after they told me I had to leave and go away for an hour and not have anything in my mouth for an hour. Something I wasn't previously told before arriving to do the test. We used this location on Eiger several times and the employees are always helpful fast and explained everything we needed to know. It seems to always be busy due to its location next to allot of medical offices. Check in is fast and efficient and very little wait time. Great place for your medical needs. read more

Time to update this review - this review is for Trevor! The phlebotomists in my past always have a hard time finding my veins, but not Trevor. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to freak him out. He was patient and took his time allowing my vein to fill a bit. One stick and boom the blood flowed beautifully into the container. So easy! He made this the best experience I've had at CPL. I hope he sticks (haha) around and can provide the same poking experience to more patients. (Haha) read more

The worst lab experience ever, including at this location. Signed in and sat for 40 min in a packed waiting room. Finally went to the window to inquire about when i would be called back and find out I'd been checked off the list. And they couldn't find my orders. Went back 4 or 5 days later and went to the room with phlebotomist. Suddenly she switches with another gum smacking one. No one has trouble with my veins but this one couldn't even aim straight. It was so painful. If I sound angry, I am. No excuse and a very sloppy operation. read more

Incredibly rude employees. Unhelpful and seem very annoyed whenever you ask questions or for clarification. Also, yell very loudly so everyone in the waiting room can hear your business and why you are there. Pros: Large waiting room with comfy chairs. Short-moderate wait time. We arrived around 4:10, there were two people ahead of us, waited for about 10mins, then went back. Friendly staff. They did a great job helping to get blood from my kid. :P Cons: The waiting area has almost TOO many chairs...makes it look kind of funny. Lol! But I'm sure all the seats come in handy for when they get busy. read more

You know it's just a place that is convenient at Primer Family Physician's Medical Center area in Oak Hill. I like that my doctor is here and I can get blood work and imaging all done in one location. Oak Hill is really growing. It's always pretty slow and you have to wait to get blood drawn, but at least most of the staff are friendly. read more

Tried this CPL recently, as it's the closest to my neighborhood. I got there close to 10AM, thinking I would miss the morning rush, and was disappointed to find that 20 people were waiting ahead of me. The waiting room was mostly full. It took about 45 minutes to get in, even with three phlebotomists working. The staff on both ends were helpful and professional. The phlebotomist who stuck me, while super friendly, unfortunately used a large gauge needle, and something on the needle housing left a 1-inch cut radiating out from the stick, large ugly marks, both of which lasted several days. And yeah, it hurt, especially every time they changed tubes. I have prominent veins and no problem bleeding, but maybe this is how they speed up drawing several tubes? Not acceptable to me, and I'll ask about it beforehand next time. Like the other CPL labs, you check in first on their kiosk pad (located at the window), then sit and wait for your name to be called to come up and give them your lab orders and insurance information, then sit some more until a phlebotomist calls you from the door. I highly recommend bringing a paper copy of the lab orders with you. I overheard the staff discussing the fact that the server was acting up and they were still waiting for electronically submitted orders. In addition, this location is small and hidden well inside a medical office building, since it seems to be there mainly for the multiple medical offices located in that building. It's advertised to the public, however, so I'm assuming it's always busy. There's nothing to do while you're waiting except stare at your phone or each other, but that's better than watching medical ads or game shows, in my book. read more

When a nurse arrives to drop off blood it is NOT reasonable to keep all sign-ins in order!! My time is precious and the quickly expiring blood draw time is MORE IMPORTANT!! Waiting 35 mins to turn in blood already drawn is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! Common sense folk!!! read more

To start, needles and I do not mix well. I've had many techs "butcher" blood drawing and it gives me a small bit of anxiety. I can only say good things! Staff was friendly and the gal that drew my blood was excellent. Quick and handled everything perfectly. Put me at ease. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Don't both making an appointment online as it doesn't matter when you get there. I think some of the CPL staff need a reminder that people that come to CPL have to get labs done because something may already be wrong with them. Why would you abuse the power you have rather than be kind, gracious, and efficient with your customers? I have been here many times for myself and family members and have never had someone be so rude. We have actually been called back twice for my daughter because they did not take enough blood. Once I get, but twice for the same lab order is a little much, especially for an 11 year old. Although at that time they were very friendly. Hopefully someone retrains the staff soon just so others do not have the same experience I did. read more

This lab is the worst I have ever been to. They make you wait an hour to drop off specimens. You have to wait in line behind all of the people who are there for blood draws to both check in and have there blood drawn. read more

I normally do not go to this lab, but was willing to give it a try as it was near to our house. I went inside and immediately noticed that there was a lot of people waiting. As I had already considered there would be a wait due to all the medical offices in the area, this was not a surprise. I signed in, and sat down and chilled. They were short staffed that day by 2 people I overheard. People began calling other CPL locations and left to go to them as there was an approximate 30 minute wait at another location, (this is where it get humorous as I knew it would take at least 20 minutes to drive there due to construction along the road). So, the info quickly spread though the waiting people and a number left. That meant my wait time just reduced. :-) . I was called up for them to get my insurance information and the pleasant young lady found the order in the orders faxed over the afternoon before. Back I went to chill as there was only 1 blood sticker. While waiting, the young lady was calling others employees on different schedules and different locations to see if they could come in an assist. Good. She recognized, owned and make an effort to fix a problem that she did not cause. Shortly thereafter, I was called back to have all my stick. The sticker was excellent and also quite pleasant. My total wait time was about 45 minutes and I was still on schedule. I left grinning about watching people turn into lemmings and how their scampering away made my wait time shorter. read more

Two different people including Mark, the trainer, and the girl with braces, missed both veins on both arms. They didn't even have any heating packs in stock. They (an older woman) also missed my husband's friend's vein, a 250 lb male, last week. Now I have to drive to a different CPL location to get my blood drawn. read more

I was here for lab work at around 8 in the morning. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Monica drew my labs and was awesome. She asked if I wanted to lay down after she noticed I was freaked out by needles. They were professional and courteous as soon as I entered the door and I would come here again. read more

This lab is terrible! Waiting forever...an hour to get blood drawn. Mysterious missing orders. I have never seen such disorganization in my life. I walk in and see three ladies working behind their desks. One was helping a client, the other getting up and moving around the office, and the third typing away. Two of them saw me and continued with their work but didn't acknowledge me. The one helping a client finished with her and began typing on her computer, and said nothing. So... I move closer to the windows. Finally, (it felt like forever, but probably just 45 seconds passed) the woman in the middle looks up and asks if anyone has helped me but asks as though she was confused. I replied they have not. She then tells me I need to sign in which would have been helpful to know the minute I walked in. The total amount of time I was standing around waiting was about 4 mins. There's no obvious sign that tells you to sign in, and no helpful support from the staff to direct you. I realize that they have work to do, and it would still be nice to have been acknowledged and directed. I noticed that the folks walking in after me were told to sign in as soon as they walked in. Maybe they now realize it isn't obvious... at least that's what I'm choosing to believe. read more

Very unorganized and incompetent front office staff. No one seems to know what their job is. I have been to this CPL several times because of the convenient location. It's gotten worse and worse. They lost one page of my lab orders. What? And this was after I called yesterday (5-24) to make sure they had received orders from the Dallas doctor. Veronica said "No, they aren't here". I called Dallas doctor and they called CPL to verify orders were received on the 19th and spoke to Veronica but this time she said "yes" to the doctor's office. I call back and Veronica said "you didn't say they were faxed in." What? Does it matter how they were sent? Not to me. Mailed, faxed...you had the labwork orders. And after the calamity, they took FOREVER to enter info into computer even though I've been there at least a dozen times. I waited almost an hour for a tiny vial of blood to be drawn and it wasn't crowded. I will gladly drive out of my way to go to a competent CPL lab from now on. read more
