They responded to me very quickly and set me up a appointment right away. The type of care was just what I needed for recovery.

Let me start with getting an appointment. I needed to see a Podiatrist so I called Baylor Scott and…read moreWhite because my insurance recommended them. I called and it took a while to get through as it's automated at first and you have to wait to speak with a live person. Once I did I got a person that answered the phone he told me that he was in training. He did a good job communicating but told me I'd get a call back within 24 hours. Unfortunately I missed the call back so I had to start the whole process over. I called again and spoke with a friendly and patient woman who booked me an appointment for the next day. Driving in was not a problem. There is a garage for parking. I found a spot and walked in. I wasn't sure where to go and asked the person working the desk on the first floor. She told me to take the elevator to the second floor. When I got there I noticed that the waiting area is clean, bright, and in a large space. I had a brief wait and then someone called me over. She checked me in and I paid. It was fairly quick and the person I spoke to was friendly. After paying she told me to sit and wait until they could get me in for X-rays and then a room. I waited for about 20 minutes and then a woman called my name. After my name was called I met two women who took me to get X-rays on my foot. They were both friendly. One of the women was guiding me through the process while the other was working on the the computer and checking the scans. It was actually very fast. After the x-rays, I was taken to an exam room. I waited less than five minutes and another woman came into the room. She asked me questions about my visit and medical history and then told me that the doctor would see me soon. I waited less than a minute and then the doctor walked into the room. He was very friendly and professional. He introduced himself and we talked about my medical history and why I was there. He then examined my foot and we went from there. He sent me off with some options and a plan for future treatment if necessary. Overall I had a mostly positive experience at Baylor Scott and White. My only frustration was with the automated answering system and wait to get a live person on the phone. Other than that the parking lot was convenient, the office was clean and bright and everyone that worked there was friendly and professional.

I spent my whole lunch hour trying to connect to her office had to listen to all of the recordings, prompts, and surveys about rating the service called 5 times and was hung up on when the representative said they were transferring me, then finally a woman said they might be at lunch.. I loved my doctor she has been wonderful I have been a patient over 20 years But the system you folks have in place now does not work. Not about customer service. Jason Spees at Victory Medical became the steady, compassionate presence that carried us through some of the hardest weeks of our lives. What sets Jason apart is not only his medical knowledge, but his humanity. He spent an incredible amount of time helping my son process the trauma of nearly dying, difficult diagnoses, and the fear that comes with an uncertain recovery. He never rushed us. He listened. He cared deeply. When my son experienced dangerous reactions to medications prescribed elsewhere, Jason stepped in immediately, even seeing us on the weekend and coordinating with other providers to ensure my son received safe, thoughtful care. Although my son is an adult and we live in different states, Jason honestly told me my son would need me there for at least six weeks to help guide his recovery. He was absolutely right. Through complete chaos, Jason maintained a calm, grounded bedside manner that brought peace to our entire family. It genuinely scares me to think about what my son's recovery experience would have been without him. Victory Medical is incredibly fortunate to have someone as compassionate and dedicated as Jason Spees on their team.

They've made improvements to parking and the rooms, but the café and food options still need some work. The check-in process for day procedures could also use improvement. It seems they are updating the lobby area as well. The staff is attentive and does their best, and I had a great experience with the ER staff during my last visit. However, the follow-up care after the ER visit could be better. Overall, this hospital is one of the better options in the Austin area. After reading others' reviews and their experiences, I've realized that many of the issues are common across hospitals in the US medical system, not just this one. Despite her visible dehydration and the difficulty staff had establishing an IV, she remained in the ER for approximately four hours without receiving any IV fluids. Before being discharged, she suffered a physical setback, yet she was still sent home. The following day, we were notified that she tested positive for C. diff. It is deeply concerning that a patient in her condition, with what turned out to be a serious infection, was brushed off and discharged while still thirsty and weak. We now have to wait several days to see her primary care physician for follow-up care that should have been initiated or supported by the emergency team. I am disappointed by the lack of effort and the dismissive attitude we encountered during this visit. I would appreciate a review of her case and an explanation as to why standard interventions, such as administering saline fluids, were not provided given her symptoms. We can do better for all patients.

I romped with my dogs in the snow, walked them and then went for an amazing run around my snowy peaceful neighborhood. Later, since all that activity made me hungry, I was cutting up a chicken to make fried chicken and I cut my finger quite badly. It bled and bled and I could not get it to stop. FInally, I used super glue, huge bandage, gloved the hand, finished dinner, which was delicious, btw. Then I stayed up late and my house almost burnt down. (Long story). Taking off the leather gloves I used to move the fireplace grate to pour water on the fire place fire, I tore the bandage off and more blood starting pouring everywhere. More super glue, which I also got on my lips and tongue when trying to open the tube one-handed because my dh was sound asleep. I was trying to hurry because my house breakers had blown and the burnt electrical smell was getting overwhelming and I still hadn't realized there was a fire in the wall. So, then, when the 25 or so firemen came in an hour later and tore out the bedroom wall and put out the fire, a nice paramedic wrapped my finger again. That night was cold. 23 degrees, huddled in the guest room with our dogs in stinky smoky house with no heat or electricity. Next day, with my nervous energy from almost being burnt up and stuff, I worked in the garden for a few hours digging my fishpond deeper while the electrician came to get our power back and rewire the wall. The surgical glove covering my bandage filled with blood and neighbors advised going to the doctor NOW. ARC couldn't take me until tomorrow so I called around and found Pro Med, right there next to People's RX on S. Lamar - next to the Red Lobster. I had to wait a bit, but the wait was about 3 hours shorter than urgent care on William Cannon who close at 4 which seemed stupid to me. I mean, how urgent can it be if they keep bankers hours? Pro Med was awesome. They were open until 9:00. Very nice nurses and assistants and very sweet doctor who gave me the appropriate disapproving look when I told him about the digging in the garden all morning. Did I mention that I was filthy? Oh, he also advised that I really should have gone to the emergency room when it happened. But if I had, then my house probably would have burnt down with my dogs and husband in the house because I was the only one who noticed the fire. But they cleaned and fixed up my finger and gave me instructions and were just very nice and took my insurance. Follow up visit to check the finger was FREE!! I saw another nice doctor and assistant/nurse who got me out of there in less then ten minutes. So, see, it all worked out.
