I suspect they were Maybe basing their quote of how much they thought I could afford rather than what was fair. I might add that this was a very vulnerable point in my life. I ended up using a company who charged me half of what this company charged. I must say, I am afraid to use them again for fear they will gouge me.

Pablo called me claiming it didn't smell bad and said he would wash it and return it. Needless to say, I don't want a used carpet so I declined. I then called David, the sales person and he said he knew nothing about this matter, which is not true since I had initially taken it up with him. David then said the owner would call me about a resolution but he never did. I called and left David a follow up message, asking him to call me but he ghosted me. In addition to the feces smelling carpet, the installation team got dirty handprints in many places on our newly painted walls.

No one would show up and when they did the other contractors on the job heard his "team" saying that they had to hang around and look busy so we would think they were working. We were $14,000 into it and only about 7 windows were done. 1 was done well. There are panes of glass missing. None of the storm windows are redone as per the contract. It's a mess. He is now threatening us. Our house sold and the new owners (the gentleman is a developer ) tried to raise the windows. They were stuck shut. They said they do not want to use him as the quality is awful. James said all the right things but absolutely did not deliver.

We used Old Line Glass & Mirror for a new custom glass shower door. Estimate process was quick and…read morevery easy. Took about 1.5-2 weeks for our door to come in but the guy who came out to do the install was a new hire who "had experience" but apparently lied to the owner for the job. He broke several of our glass tiles which had just been installed during our bathroom remodel. The guy ended up being fired and the owner and his son came in to redo the tile and grout and install the door. They didn't have the right saw at first so the first day of repairs was ultimately removed and redone again. The second attempt was much better, though still not perfect. I realize tile isn't their specialty, so A++ for effort, and B+ for finished repairs (the new grout is cracking a bit already but I can fix that myself later). The new door was installed but then it seems they or the factory drilled the door for the wrong hardware which ended up working in our favor since the handle they drilled it for looked and fit better in our space. Still, it's an issue that shouldn't have happened, but in the end, that worked out for us at least. The owner and his son are very friendly and were very apologetic about the whole situation. They did a pretty good job fixing the previous guy's damages and ultimately installed the door and it works well. I'd say we'd probably use them again, but we'd request the owner does the install just to avoid as many issues as possible.

Keith's Screen Repair was very close to home, in an easily accessible location, with parking right in front. He fixed the one screen I brought in for an estimate while I waited, so then I went home and brought back the second screen. So in about 30 minutes, my screen problem was all fixed, the service was friendly, and the price was reasonable.

We hired Bohan Contracting for a 2nd time to assist with a few projects after moving into a new…read morehome in Severna Park, MD. We did this based on an excellent experience in our previous home in Annapolis, MD where they did a large basement renovation project for it. They helped us install a beverage refrigerator in a wet bar, put recessed lighting into multiple rooms, and installed ceiling fans. The work was extremely well done. We also had them do all the work while we were away and we came home to the work 100% finished and the project areas spotlessly clean. During the entire process our project manager communicated clearly via email and text messages about our project. Their communication and professionalism is unmatched. If you are looking for a contractor to assist with a renovation, remodel, or addition, I'd highly recommend you contact Bohan Contracting!

SLOPPY and INEPT…read more Run, do not walk AWAY from Bohan Contracting! For 2.5 years we have been dealing with this inept, insulting, incompetent company. According to several subcontractors, Bohan was a good company initially, but they became greedy and took on too many projects. According to subcontractors in the area we have consulted with, superior Annapolis contractors refuse to work for them, in a few cases calling out their "designer" Jaime Esposito in particular. Bohan parked a huge dumpster in our driveway, insisted that we be out of our house in early January 2022, though the work on our house didn't start for MONTHS. Bohan's trucks from other parts of town would arrive nightly to dump their garbage. Bohan's workers told us they weren't allowed to dispose of refuse in the other neighborhoods in which they were working. That speaks to the consistent mistreatment of us and another family on our street who hired Bohan, judging our neighborhood to be not worth prioritizing. They are still not finished with either project! They've left us twisting in the wind -- but have had no problem collecting money from us. We were told we would be out of our house for 5 - 6 months and it turned out to be almost 16 months! The cost was almost TWICE their quote. Bohan's workers barely spoke English, were sloppy, didn't measure anything and were completely unskilled. On one visit to the site, they had to find a child who spoke English to even be able to communicate with us. Every subcontractor Bohan hired appeared to be the bottom of the barrel. Every day we find mistakes and poor workmanship. It was, and continues to be, the most depressing and disappointing experience we've ever had. They refused to compensate us for any of the aggravation they put our family through. We ended up sleeping in the workshop of our carpenter son, who was unable to work for the entire 15+ months we were forced to stay there. The architect/engineer DAMES Design, who we had great hopes for, left out items such as the water heater, found egregious errors in Bohan's work (including going over her head to hire a different engineer) but then told us WE had to pay her an extra $2000+ for dealing with it! Avoid DAMES Design! Advice before renovating your house -- HAVE A LAWYER on hand to read the contract first and to be ready for litigation.
