James was supposed to redo the windows on our entire house. It is historic and we wanted to save what we could. We signed an extensive contract with a timeline which he didn't even come close to meeting. No one would show up and when they did the other contractors on the job heard his "team" saying that they had to hang around and look busy so we would think they were working. We called many times and got platitudes but no results. The quality of the work is just awful. 6 months later we asked him to pick up his equipment. We were $14,000 into it and only about 7 windows were done. 1 was done well. There are panes of glass missing. None of the storm windows are redone as per the contract. It's a mess. He is now threatening us. Our house sold and the new owners (the gentleman is a developer ) tried to raise the windows. They were stuck shut. They said they do not want to use him as the quality is awful. James said all the right things but absolutely did not deliver. read more

We used Old Line Glass & Mirror for a new custom glass shower door. Estimate process was quick and very easy. Took about 1.5-2 weeks for our door to come in but the guy who came out to do the install was a new hire who "had experience" but apparently lied to the owner for the job. He broke several of our glass tiles which had just been installed during our bathroom remodel. The guy ended up being fired and the owner and his son came in to redo the tile and grout and install the door. They didn't have the right saw at first so the first day of repairs was ultimately removed and redone again. The second attempt was much better, though still not perfect. I realize tile isn't their specialty, so A++ for effort, and B+ for finished repairs (the new grout is cracking a bit already but I can fix that myself later). The new door was installed but then it seems they or the factory drilled the door for the wrong hardware which ended up working in our favor since the handle they drilled it for looked and fit better in our space. Still, it's an issue that shouldn't have happened, but in the end, that worked out for us at least. The owner and his son are very friendly and were very apologetic about the whole situation. They did a pretty good job fixing the previous guy's damages and ultimately installed the door and it works well. I'd say we'd probably use them again, but we'd request the owner does the install just to avoid as many issues as possible. read more

I received a reasonably priced estimate within the hour and was also able to have the repair scheduled quickly. Alvin and crew were respectful of my schedule and arrived on time. Despite having to deal with the awkwardness of COVID and perform work while balancing on a ladder placed horizontally over a large void in my sunroom floor. We contacted Old Line Glass & Mirror about replacing 18 insulated glass units in our home we are about to sell. James, the owner, came out quickly and provided an estimate which should have been the first red flag. The estimate was lumped together labor and materials rather than the individual glass sizes and cost. Kayla the office receptionist took my request and completed the task. After review I called Kayla and asked how long it was going to take for the installation. She said 4 days. I was shocked (I worked in the window industry prior to this and was very concerned they were trying to take advantage of me as a woman). I knew that at the most it should take 30 minutes to remove and install a new unit, and many of the ones I have to replace are very small, transom sized. James during his estimate visit was bragging about this new machinery he has that makes the process so quick and his installers will be happy to know they have a job upcoming. So after waiting almost 4 weeks I had to reach out several times about timeframe. Mind you, our house now is contingent. James sent out 2 installers, Darry and Al and they arrived ready to go however they only had I believe 4 units. They told me the remaining weren't complete. Once they started installation I noticed they didn't have the proper materials to preform a proper install, meaning a ladder! Luckily for them I had one sitting in my foyer I had used in packing. Once they completed their install and began packing up I noticed issues with the product. Grids were pinched at the intersection, glass stops were loose. So I immediately called the office to express my concerns. Kayla answered and was very unapologetic about the entire ordeal. I asked to speak with James and was told he was on another job and couldn't be reached. Meanwhile the installers were speaking to him via cellphone. They expressed my concerns to him and they were told to take whatever they had left to do and leave. Kayla told me the in order to file a complaint I needed to email to their "claims" department. I took as many photos as I could and sent my email. I was told by James that these issues are within manufacturing guidelines and he wasn't going to fix them. They installers came back a few days later with a few more units. Not all of them yet. And of those the same issues and now a grid alignment problem. So I took the steps to report my concern. Fast forward we are now 45 days from the time I gave my initial payment (material cost) and I still don't have all my IGU's installed. All the time I've spent waiting for them and my children being interrupted (because they are home with online learning due to Covid) and none of the replacements I requested have been addressed by James. James told me by email that he would have all my units made by an outside manufacturing company and would take 3-4 weeks. Then in a separate email said he wouldn't order anything until the new homeowners requested them. On Monday I emailed James about installation of my final unit and he told me he wasn't aware that I hadn't been complete. He said he needed to speak to his installers. He finally replied back saying he could come on Wed to finish. Wed comes and no installers. I call the office, no answer, leave a message. Email the company email address, no response. I call James cell phone, no answer and voicemail box is full. Then I text him. He tells me the two installers and Kayla are no longer with him. I'm not surprised. Installers told me he is horrible to work for, doesn't pay them in a timely or regular manner. They also told me James Mullane, the owner of the company, is the one making the units in which I'm having all my troubles with which probably explains his reluctance to replace them. I was in the process of selling my house. The appraiser found a broken window and would not let it pass. I called Old Line Glass and Mirror and got a quote almost right away. They did need to go out and get measurements to see if they had the glass I needed in stock. Thats where things got a little rough, not on their part but ours. They came out a couple of times and weren't able to access the area where the window needed replacement. But the were very patient and worked with me to solve the issue. They were finally able to acess the window and got the measurements as needed and told me they had the glass in stock. They came out the next day and installed the glass, I don't live in the house so I had to pay the bill remotley. Their billing payment sight is very user freindly, I made the payment and was E-mailed a recept right away. Woud I recommend them? Absolutley! read more

I regret working with this company. They have caused me nothing but headaches. If everything goes right you may be okay. However, if anything goes wrong the owner will be unprofessional, unapologetic, and refuse to take accountability. Although he saw my property and knew the size of my door, he sent two small men to carry the approx. 250 pound door to my deck. They could barely lift the door from their truck to my garage. I was told additional men were coming to help but they left when I went to run an errand and took my property (french door, security door, lockset, transom). I spoke to the owner James. Did he offer an apology, nope. Of course not, read the other low reviews. He tried to lecture me about not letting his workers get hurt (not acknowledging his fault for not sending the correct number of people). Told me he would reschedule several days out. Then told me "oh well, read the contract" when I told him I already adjusted my schedule to accommodate the work (very professional). He threatened to cancel the job cause he said I was raising my voice (how dare I) which I thought was hilarious. So not surprisingly he canceled the job (again read the other low reviews). They returned my items the next day damaged. Of course he didn't take accountability (lowes did it not us). The items were still boxed when they left my house but came back unboxed (which they didnt clearly explain). One of his employees admitted to one item. Yet did James apologize, Noooo that would be too much like right. Here's the highlight of this encounter, the door measurements James provided were wrong (way too big) his employee and my new contractor said the same. I'll have to see if I can get my money back from the special order. He also owes me money from canceling the job. Hilarious... Contractors are human, humans make mistakes. However, good contractors try to make things right. Based on my interaction with James, this company probably won't. However, his two employees were very sweet and professional. They apologized multiple times, too bad they couldn't rub off on him. So take from this post whatever you want but I wish someone would have given me a heads up. Things started out ok with this company. Their installation of the windows was fine overall and done well and timely but there was one part of the service that was initially discussed and it was accidentally left out of the invoice. When we arranged with them to come out and complete the job, they contacted us the morning of so they could reschedule for the next day. When the next day came, the arrival time came and went and we heard nothing. We had to reach out to them and found out they wouldn't be here until later in the day AND that it would take multiple days to do the job when it was originally projected to take an hour or two. We reached back out to ask if we could have any kind of break or discount due to our inconvenience and their response was that they WITHDREW from the job - absolutely unprofessional and terrible business practice. They said they would just as soon not get involved in it. We went with this company due to their low rates and we learned that we got what we paid for. read more

I've used Old Line for a couple of other projects; so I know they can be reliable and professional. But their latest work for me was very sloppy: The team arrived before the appointment time and began breaking the glass in the damaged window, without notifying me they had arrived; so although I had told them beforehand that I would be in a meeting until the appointment time, the team disregarded me. Consequently, my virtual meeting in the room directly above the window was interrupted by the alarming smashing of glass. Later, the team left glass debris both inside and outside my house. When the work was completed, the team told me that I should wait 3 days to touch the window, though the invoice was payable the same day; the next day, the owner told me that I could actually try the window after 1 day. When I did, it slid with difficulty. I discovered this was because the team had left glass shards in the window track; after removing the shards, the window worked fine. It took 3 emails with the company to get them to take responsibility for their team's sloppiness (no financial responsibility, just an apology). I had a very large (over 14 foot) picture window in my living room that was single pane and leaking like a sieve. I checked with several well known residential window replacement companies and all of them wanted to replace it by dividing the window in thirds which would have impeded the expansive view that the 14 ft of non-interrupted glass enabled. I was referred to Old Line Glass and Mirror, LLC, by a commercial glass installation company. Old Line Glass and Mirror did an outstanding job on this large window. They were able to recreate the original window design and keep the architectural feature. I'm very pleased with their service and the price was affordable. Good job!! read more

I used Yelp to get estimates to replace the glass I accidentally broke in a neighbor's patio door. Needless to say this work had to be done quickly and professionally to keep good neighbor relations. I tried a few other glass companies but they were lacking good customer service. Old Line Glass and Mirror, on the other hand, was prompt in responding to my request and provided the best estimate. They were just as prompt in coming out to get a measurement the next business day. They emailed me an invoice that allowed quick payment on the deposit and they explained the timeline for the repair. They ordered the glass and scheduled the repair as promised. The workers showed up 30 minutes early and completed the work in a timely fashion. They promptly emailed the final invoice which again was easy to pay on-line. The next day I received an electronic copy of the manufacturers warranty to provide for my happy neighbors.
