Having to have tag and registration Changed I stopped by ClintonCITGO to ask a question and met my new go to place for car service . The manager listened asked a few questions and told me the remainder of the process but best of all he said they could do it right away and I would leave with my truck. Skeptical bc I was doing this alone but I trusted him and truly I left there very very happy . I sat in the store section it was very busy but I noticed that most customers knew the cashier's name as they came and went . Everyone was so polite and at work, the mechanic told me the services needed , I gave him the go ahead price was reasonable . I was glad they found a very important part needed . . We paid about $600 for an A/C repair, including a new part installation. The same day, another mechanic noticed it was leaking. After a second inspection, we were told the shop installed defective seals/gaskets, causing the issue. We returned to ask for a solution, but they refused to fix it or provide any refund. Clinton Citgo - Leaking A/C part. - Gas Stations Near Me - Clinton, Maryland

I paid $99 for a so called "diagnosis " when the indicator on my car revealed "Charge battery" . This had never happened before, so I was taken aback since the car did start without any problem. In my opinion, I think you can offer to check the battery and not charge for that, but i suppose they really do not care about being nice to people. Since I was in the middle of running errands, I did not want to wait for AAA ,and when I drove by , they only had one other car on the lift. Turns out my car needed an alternator. What angers me is the way the woman behind the counter hastily wrote an invoice that did not say if the alternator would be new or remanufactured. There is a price difference between new and remanufactured . She did not care to put which it was. She just wrote $825 (parts & labor) plus tax. This is a red flag for me. I'm a woman who shops around and will get a second or 3rd opinion before I go ahead and let a mechanic work on my car. I think this place would have charged me $825 plus tax and fees and put in the cheaper remanufactured alternator. A good repair shop will give you the Actual cost of labor, and the cost of the part; new and used. She failed to do that , and I got my altenrator for a lot less by a reputable shop. Came here because I needed a state inspection. The employee said it takes about 45 min to an hour to complete. I wasn't in a rush so decided to go with it. The employee gave me the paper and told me to give it to the cashier. The cashier rung me up and said that it will be $154. There was an additional fee of 3% for using my card. I told him ok and I said I'll pay when the job is completed. He said that I have to pay first or my car won't be serviced. This is the first place I've ever been where you pay before the work is done. Another customer comes in to pick up her car and someone outside yelled, "be careful because they will rip you off". When the job was completed, another attendant said that my car passed and could I give them a review on Google. I said yeah I can do that, he then says give me your phone I can show you were to do it. Expecting me to review them at that very moment. They need to work on there customer service and if they want people to pay before the service is completed that needs to be advertised somewhere. read more

I had a job done recently on my truck and they could not do it properly, parts where damaged while being installed and they did not take responsability on what they did. Earlier this month I visited this Citgo location to get my trailer inspected. I had called around several MD inspection places, and this location was helpful over the phone and in a convenient spot off of 495. I will note, I have a small boat trailer. Unsure if MD inspection sites accommodate larger trailers. The morning of, I called the Clinton Citgo to confirm they could help me out that day. Then, when I got there the inspection process was efficient and clear. With a couple customers there before me, wait time was under 30mins. All staff were coordinated and engaged, and it felt as though I was getting a solid amount of attention. The inspection went smoothly, and I recommend this location. read more

Needing to have a safety inspection done, I received stellar service from the mechanics and gas station staff. I called ahead but did not have to make an appointment. The staff provided a great customer service experience and gave a realistic timeframe I would have to wait for the inspection to be completed. I typically don't review businesses, but I felt compelled to do this review so other people aren't ripped off. I took my truck there for inspection. they identified several things that were wrong which amounted to about $1k. By the end, I was up to 2k. I spoke to the manager stating I was being ripped off. Of course , he denied that was the case. A man who was in the shop pulled me aside and said they were in deed crooks. They claim to fix your car, and they really don't. BEWARE: DONT DO YOUR INSPECTION HERE! I went to this location to get my car inspected. The inspector (Arun Goyat) told us that it has a part broken and that it cost $233 to fix it. We ask to get the part somewhere else and he told us that he would charge us $125 for labor plus $28 of a re-inspection fee. He is a scam artists. Reap Off, Very Rude and Unprofessional, Inconsistent Pricing, and Additional Charge for Reinslection, False Assessment! I normally don;t write a review unless it's absolutely compelling. This is on of those cases. REAP OFF: I called ahead to find out the price for MD State Inspection, i was told that cars cost $129 and Trucks $149. But, upon arrival, the lead mechanic gave me a bill for $149 instead of $$129. They also charge $49 for reinspection, which might be a reason for wrong assessment to force you back to their shop. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL: Upon arrival, the lead mechanic asked, "what do you want", i was very surprised, how rude he was. i asked him, why, he was so rude, he just looked at me. I should have left at that moment, but i was eager to get the inpection done. After i complained about the bill, it was adusted to $129. This was no mistake, an unsuspecting lady that i met there was charded $149 to inspect her Honda Civic. In addition to the price gauging, they also charge additional 3% for paying with debit or credit card. DELIBRATELY WRONGFUL ASSESSMENT: My car had a tint, and was missing two lug nuts, which was absolutely necessary to bring to compliance. Where things got interesting was when i was told to replace a left rear axle inner boots, that needs no replacement, and they quoted $619 to replace it. I went to another shop for a quote, i was surprised when i was told that nothing was wrong with my rear axle boots. I went back to Citgo for reinspetion after i removed the tint, and replaced the two lug nuts. I told the same rude lead mechanic about the other shop's dagnosis,, and believed it was a misunderstanding. He Immediately got furious, i couldn't stand his attitude and disrespect anylonger, i took my car to a different shop for new reinspection. The customer service and result was incomparable. The new shop was surprised that i was told to replace the rear axle boot in the first place. MY RECOMMENDATION: I will not recommend this shop, not even to my enemy, based on the above reasons. Very unprofessional and disrespectful, say I need wiper blade and four tires and nothing is wrong with my wiper blades and my tires on my car. I just recently took my car from the dealer that I bought it from and everything came back green under inspection result. From Jones junction. My car is a 2019 with only 24,000 miles on it. These cocksuckers here took my $149.99 and failed my car after I drove a hour and a half to get there and sit and wait for two hours. Warning do not take your car there for repair either, A gentleman was waiting beside me when I got there he was sitting waiting on his car to get done, when they finally finish he drove out in two minutes he came back with his car smoking. It was the cheap price in comparison to other local shops that attracted my attention to Clinton Citgo, however, alike to the price, cheap is an accurate portrayal of my entire experience here. Expect what you paid for...literally. Beginning with customer service, I had a horrible encounter. It took them 3 hours past the original time of pick up until I got my car back. To make it worse, there was no apology given for the hold up. My car immediately had problems starting up, with unusual noises coming from the engine. When I had informed the staff of this, they redirected me to the manager, who after fifteen minutes of doing what seemed to be a whole lot of nothing came back to me, explaining that my car was drivable, but there was a problem with the engine discovered. He had tried to talk me into an engine repair with him, but being that I already didn't like my impression, I took it to a different auto repair shop who could better assess the problems and estimate a reasonable price. I went to 3 other repair shops who all told me the same thing. Come to Find out, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR ENGINE. Not only was their customer service and car repair horrible, but they also tried to scam me out of some more money!!!! Never again will I return here for anything. Do not use this station for a car inspection or anything else. They failed my car after it passed VA inspection a week prior to my visit for MD inspection. It seem like the cashier and mechanic were planning to stiff me. They kept talking to eachother than the inspector said I failed and need several hundred dollars of work. I took the car to another inspection station for a new full inspection and the car passed with no problem. The mechanic told me Virginia inspections are no good. He was lying.They scam people with new cars that need registration. Be careful with gas station inspections. They know you need then PASS to register your vehkicle. Clinton Citgo on 9100 Piscataway road Is overpriced for car inspections. I was charged $103.17 for an inspection which I ended up taking to another gas station and only paying $60.00. I failed my inspection for a wheel alignment, rear rotors and pads and tint on the front drivers door and passenger door. When I returned back to the gas station after completing the necessary repairs I was informed that I went over the 1,000 miles and would have to pay another $103.17 to have another inspection. I immediately went to another station and paid $60.00 and received my tags. I spoke to a few other people and they said they had problems with the same station in the past. read more

I am really concerned because this place is bad business. Compared to the other gas stations nearby, the gas at this Clinton Citgo is more expensive and the pumps do not stop on command. Consequently when I went inside to speak to the manager, I was confronted with rude and unprofessional behavior. Considering the location within close proximity to a school and the drug paraphernalia for sale (grinders, bongs...) I am really disappointed that more has not been done to close this gas station. Horrible body shop my husband took our car there to get it fix because it had a noise on the wheels we payed $800.00 for nothing came to pick up the car and the car 1st of all was dead my husband was there trying to jump start the car for 2 hrs even the cashier tried to help him because it was a saturday and it was after they had left. They didn't inform us that supposedly the car had more than 1 issue.
