I went to the emergency room with chest pains one of the staff called my name he was speaking in a language I dId not under stand when I told him I was American and spoke only English he and the other staff got offended i was told not to talk to him like that and i waited 6 hours . was told I had to go to another hospital because there was no doctor there, they wanted me to go in there ambulance, I had my car there. I was cursed out by another staff member using the F word . told them I was leaving .I was confronted on my way out by other members. I have called the administration office filed a complaint. they told me they would investigate and get back to me in a few days. I will update this post as soon as they do. read more

As soon as I arrived I was being tested/treated for several health issues. I went in on Tuesday, got out at around 4:30 PM. I picked up my meds, went home, and just rested. Received excellent care from the doctors and nurses in the ED. Would also like to give a shout out to the CT department, I have had a lot of difficulty getting a CT because of spinal difficulties but these gentlemen were able to make it work, so I finally have a good scan to reference, first one since 2020! read more

I was in the ER for a rather nasty post-op infection. I needed to have a CT scan to make sure that it wasn't deeper into the tissue than appearances. "Dex" was the radiologist who picked me up from my room and brought me to the scan room. I told him that I was almost deaf and needed to remove my hearing aid before the procedure. Once on the table (I couldn't see because it was eye surgery and this is where the infection was) he then violently grabbed my hand (presumably to inject dye) and when I pulled away telling him not to grab my like that he started yelling at me. Note. I know I said that I'm almost deaf and perhaps he was making sure I could hear him. There's a big difference between someone speaking loudly and yelling at someone. Yelling is aggressive and violent, loud speaking is just being heard. I was genuinely fearful of this person and said nothing further. When he brought me back to my room I called my spouse and asked her to come back as I was just abused. I spoke with another staff person and they said they'd get someone in to speak with me. A short while later "Dex" came into my room to apologize. Not that I had a choice because he stood between me and the only exit. He told me that he was having a bad day because a family member was just diagnosed with cancer and that "he couldn't get anyone to cover his shift" or something to that effect. To be honest I was feeling very defensive and frightened. He even admitted to me that what he did was wrong. One shouldn't be fearful in a hospital environment. A staff person finally spoke with me, but nearly two months later, nothing has come of it. From my perspective, I was both verbally and physically abused by a healthcare person. From now one, I'm never going to a hospital alone. read more

My father is 83 years old and has been in the geriatric psychiatry unit for the last month. He has Alzheimer's. They are trying to help him with his medication. I have been extremely impressed with the social workers that have been managing his case. Both Kristin and Marianne have been incredibly thoughtful and supportive. I have literally been blown away by the level of caring and that they have had with me. They are literally doing their very best to help my father get better so he can move back into his assisted living setting. This is one of the most difficult situations that I've ever experienced In my life. But I cannot rave enough That the social workers and the team at this geriatric psychiatry unit have done for my father. If you end up in a similar situation as my family, feel confident that this group Care about the people that they are working with. Absolutely phenomenal! read more

I have received care here for a few years. I enjoy the comfort of being in a warm environment of staff and doctors. My doctors from Worcester now come out to Clinton Hospital and I always now try to schedule all my orthopedic appointments here if scheduling allows. I can see my parked car from my room i am in waiting for the doctor comes in! Just amazing! Easy to get in and out of this awesome UMASS hospital. I highly recommend folks see your doctors that you have to see them in the orthopedics clinic here! read more

Clinton Hospital: Very sad to see it so degraded. Concerned about a possible blood clot, we contacted Clinton Hospital Emergency Room asking them about getting it checked out. They said they had imaging capability and weren't busy, so we should come right over. Once we got there, and completed the triage process, we learned that they did not have the imaging technology needed and that they had a gravely ill patient that would consume all of the doctor's attention for several hours. Their proposal was to have us wait hours for the doctor to send an order (which he had already given verbally) and then they would arrange transport for my husband to and from Leominster Hospital BY AMBULANCE for the imaging. Their proposal was completely inappropriate. They just wanted to collect big bucks. If you find yourself at Clinton Hospital and a nurse named Sue starts to lecture you, run for your life and your hold on to your wallet. read more

Waited six hours for Doctor to be in room for literally 10 minutes. He was extremely condescending the entire time and looked over worrisome symptoms and kept saying he didn't know what it could be. read more

u mass memorial in Clinton mass is the worst in my eyes the er is totally redicous my son went there because he was so ill and his blood pressure was off the chart and they told him u mass had no beds and there was a long wait and they could not keep him at the er in Clinton and released him with dangerous blood pressure levels myy son lefty and went straight to u mass in Worcester he felt like he was dying u Mass admitted him immediately due to the high blood pressure did numerous blood tests and scans he was immediately admitted and diagnosed with thyroid storm which was life threatening and was hospitalized for over three weeks Clinton should be investigated for thier neglect and shut down read more

BEWARE OF FRANCESCO, RN: the registered nurse in the emergency room and triage. When he tried to give me an IV he had to poke me twice the first time was extremely painful as he kept moving the needle around when it was inside me. the second time he blew up vein. SEE THE PICTURE OF MY HAND. Due to Francesco (he told me his name was Franco) I was unable to get my IV which affected my care at Clinton hospital. read more

I went to the er yesterday and I was taking into the er, put in a bed in the hallway and left there for 2 and a half hours! Not one no one even talked to me about what was going on how long it would take to see a doctor! I have very bad pain in my neck and into my right shoulder which my neck muscles are so tight it hurts to move and my bones in my neck are grinding and I can't sleep, and it gives me a headache and I get nausea ! So they put me in a bed left me there two and a half hours not saying anything to me , and I was in so much pain that I finally left because nothing was happening no one was talking to me no one was helping me ! It's the worst none care I've ever received or did not receive ! Now I'm still in pain can't sleep and still sick and nothing will help me , and obviously no one will help me there ! I'm so upset at the lack of care and professional ism! Thanks for nothing ! read more

ER doctor a few years back spoke to me like i was an idiot while i was there in distress. I get it if the patient is being belligerent and/or difficult but as someone who is super quiet and hates inconveniencing people i feel i should not have been spoken to that way. Also everyone i know who has gone there with a life threatening emergency has died, i fear having a life threatening medical emergency and being brought to Clinton because i feel i would not make it out alive. I also was made to wait 8 hours to be seen by a Dr, and in this pandemic day and age i would not complain but this was before the pandemic and I had been the only one in the waiting room prior. Every time i need to go to the ER i drive the extra 20 minutes to go to Leominster or St Vincents. They are MUCH more kind and efficient there. read more

Best area ER for ordinary emergencies by far! Very kind & friendly staff with quick check in and low wait time. I went last night at 2 am and was seen by a doctor in a private exam room within 20 minutes and was finished (and helped!) in just 1 hour. By comparison I have waited in other ER's for as much as 5 hours before seeing a doctor. read more
