If I could rate them lower I would. They are consistently rude to their customers and patrons. I experienced it firsthand on more than on occasion and have witnessed others being disrespected. This last time I said something nicely and they basically told me that they didn't want my business. Don't support them. They showed me today that our money is not needed!

Old fashioned family owned supermarket located near Andrews Air Force Base in Clinton. Has a full service deli that serves up some mean subs - inexpensive too. My favorite is the Porky's. My Dad used to go to this place once a week for the Turkey Supreme. Also has beer/wine available just like they do in VA. Also offers a pretty extensive selection of meats in the butcher shop. Not too many of these businesses left unfortunately as Giant, Safeway, Bloom and Shoppers Food Warehouse are taking over the area. Nothing beats a family owned business when it comes to customer service because they know they have to try harder to survive. If you are in the area, stop by and check it out.

This is not capital city Mumbo. I don't know who it is but it doesn't taste like capital Mumbo at all. It's bbq sauce

A great deli! In true New York style, you can get an incredibly delicious bacon and egg (over easy…read moreis the way to get this!) on a seeded Kaiser roll! Puccio's is the only place in the area that I know of to get this. Eating it transports me to my favorite delis in New York! Puccio's Penn Station, sliced grilled chicken with hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo is a great choice for lunch! My only wish is that they had sesame seeded Italian bread. Then maybe I could get a roast beef hero like a used to get in New York. I digress, Puccio's is clean, the staff is friendly, and everything I've ever ordered has been at least, very good. Highly recommended!

I make killer sandwiches at home but wanted to try a deli in my home town that I'd heard about and…read morethe was Puccio's. I'm from NY and their title included New York Deli, so that was a positive sign. I went there, checked out the menu and ordered a Verrazano, which is a Roast Beef and Turkey with Provolone. I asked if I could substitute Pastrami for the Roast Beef and the counter guy said okay. Great. Paid, tipped and went home. Pop open a Heineken, opened the bag ready to eat and there was no Pastrami on the sandwich. There wasn't even Roast Beef. It was only Turkey. So I paid for a 2 meat option but got only 1. Normally I would call and go back to correct the order, but That was a huge miss, so I just ate the Turkey Sandwich and called it a day and needless to say, won't be going back.

Capo Italian Deli - Old Town Alexandria…read more I reviewed our new Old Town neighbor - Capo Italian Deli - early in 2026. Time for an update. The deli is outstanding. Taking up a tiny footprint on the N. Washington Avenue thoroughfare, a few seconds from King Street, the deli delivers both hot and cold deli entrees, soft drinks, and salads. There's maybe half a dozen tables inside and a couple of tables outside, but from what I have seen thus far, most of the trade is with carry-out service, drawing from the excellent reputation Capo brought with it as it arrived in Old Town (the restaurant has siblings in Shaw NW, and Western Market in the District, Tyson's Corner in Vienna, VA, Annapolis and Potomac, MD). Fresh Philly rolls for those seeking a traditional hero sandwich, with go-to seasonings and all of the essential protein groups. My favorite is a large half roast beef half turkey with lettuce, tomato, and mayo (I skip the Italian dressing, which is part of the default, and I skip the cheese). I can and have made this $18 sandwich last three meals (so I ask them to cut the sandwich into three pieces), and the ingredients stay fresh for the next 24 hours. The last time I did this the sandwich fed me from 4:45 a.m. to 9 p.m., as I served as an election officer at one of Alexandria's polling places. Neat, trim, and completely satisfying. Just a point of concern: given its location, the opportunity to double-park while picking up an order seems to be just too tempting. This location, however, cannot over the long term sustain double-parkers. The deli is about 100 feet from the intersection of King Street and N. Washington Street. There is a dedicated lane for cars seeking to park adjacent to the deli. And then there are two northbound lanes on N. Washington Street. That's it - just two lanes serving one of the busiest intersections in Old Town. If a delivery-service car pulls up alongside one of the parked cars, all hell will break loose by drivers who suddenly find a delivery vehicle double-parking in front of Capo, leaving but one northbound lane open for however long it takes for the delivery agent to gather the order and beat it out of there. This happens with remarkable frequency, starting at about 11 a.m. and running throughout the day. That's not going to make good neighbors of Capo's nearby shops. Alexandria Parking has its work cut out for it, but here the rule prohibiting double-parking has to be enforced - it's both a safety issue and an issue of common courtesy. Doesn't matter if you think you'll just be in and out of the deli in seconds. We know it doesn't work that way, not always, and here - not even often. More often than not the double-parker will be creating a traffic hazard just by parking alongside a parked car in front of the deli. Please, don't do this.

This review is based solely on the customer service I received over the phone…read more I had placed a $62 order through DoorDash and chose Capo even though there are plenty of other deli spots nearby, because they normally make really good sandwiches. Unfortunately, the customer service this time was extremely disappointing. I called with a simple question about the bread since I have braces and needed something soft. The person who answered the phone was rude and dismissive, acting as if my call was an inconvenience. When I asked which bread was the softest, he cut me off to say they were "super busy" and could only change the bread on one sandwich, not both. I asked again for clarification, and he continued sounding irritated and uninterested in helping. He repeated that they had a line of people and needed to know which one sandwich I wanted to change. For the amount I paid, the lack of basic courtesy and willingness to answer a straightforward question was unacceptable. This will be my last time ordering from Capo in Alexandria, VA.

Nice solid roll, real gravy, tender beef, and plenty of napkins provided without asking. Could have used a knife and fork, it was so juicy even without the side of extra gravy. The dill spear and Dr. Brown's soda prove it worthy of the name Deli. Very cordial service. I will be back to try the more typical deli treats next time I visit the Home Depot nearby.

We got a pastrami Reuben and a "Corned Beef and Pastrami". Each was on toasted rye that was perfectly prepared. A good portion of meat on each and I have to say, an excellent deli sandwich. And the price of each ($8.99) is very reasonable. We also got a side of potato salad and side of cole slaw. Both were good and the container is very generous for $2.99 each. There's a variety of chips available and a soda fountain with free refills. Limited seating. The staff there were friendly and appreciative of the business. It's a really nice place to stop in for a sandwich. I likely will try one of their entree salads next time. Breakfasts sound good on the menu also. We don't come to the area often, but this will be our new go-to lunch spot.
