I had the privilege of photographing a wedding there, and it was an experience that will stay with me for a long time. The mansion itself feels cinematic in scale, yet human in its warmth. Inside, sunlight drifts through tall windows, painting slow-moving patterns across the floor. Outside, the wind off the river carries laughter down the terrace steps, mingling with the rustle of old trees and the faint hum of the day. It's a space that invites stillness and awe all at once--a perfect stage for love stories that feel like they've been unfolding for generations. This is undoubtedly on my list of top 10 places to get married in the Hudson Valley. I love it here.

And believe it or not, this gigantic fork in the road is actually located on a fork in the road... We went when it had just snowed and it made it even shinier and grander.. I recommend reading the story online on how this giant fork came to be. The only down side to visiting this landmark is that there is no designated parking. We parked in front of some houses and then had to run across the street. So please look both ways!

It's $11 for adults. Buy the ticket on the side of the house. Look for signs. The tours are self guided with docents stationed in each room. The tickets are sold in the gift shop. During holiday they have cider and cookies ( nothing special). Start with some info before the 7 min video. It's bad quality but what do u expect from 1986?!? They have the old house floor plans and pictures of the family tree. The main house is amazing but access/tour is only the first floor. People seem to complain but honestly it's a small preservation organization that are doing their best to restore and have mainly volunteers working. The grounds are lovely. Spring looks better. And was told every two years has some artist sculpture event. Winter has xmas decorations.
