This Barshop is a great shop, where it's always clean. They run there business on a appointment basis. It is not a great clips where they can accommodate walk ins. They do take new customers upon appointment! I have referred so many people to them and they are happy to take them! Ricky does a great job! Cleanest fade and is patient with kids! Went in for my first time today, and it's definitely worth the five stars. I came in without an appointment but they gladly took me in. There was a bit of a wait time, so I'll be making an appointment next time around. The place is clean, organized and has plenty of seating available. I got my haircut from Freda. This was my first visit to Clipper King, Professional Family Barbershop, and unbeknown to me until I received a business card from my female barber, Freda is a Master Barber and Owner of the Shop. The appearance of the Shop was clean and neat, and Freda is an excellent Master Barber .... and also an excellent giver of shaves. I posed somewhat of a problem for Ms Freda by showing up with an overgrown head of hair, along with an overgrown beard .... which she handled superbly and professionally ... while dealing simultaneously with my comments, my wife's directions, and barbering tools to make me look much, much better. In addition to this Yelp Review, I intend to tell others about the Clipper King and Ms Freda and recommend this Barbershop. By the way, I also reviewed their Website and found it accurate, interesting and informative. Man, if I could give this barber shop less than a star I would. I walk in on Monday morning, and there was one lady named Frida cutting hair. She was in the middle of a haircut so, me as a walk in goes and sits down to wait, and I was the only other customer in there looking to get a haircut. So about 10 minutes later another gentleman walks in, he came in said hi and sat down. He didn't state if he had an appointment or not. Frida finishes the haircut and she looks to me, so I stand up and she ask if I could let the other gentleman go first. I wasn't in a rush or anything so I obliged. Whether he had an appointment or not, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt that he did have an appointment. Anyways I am sitting down waiting patiently and she finishes the haircut so now I am next. I go and sit in the chair and I tell her everything I want, with detail. A 2 on the top, a 1 on the sides into a fade, a lineup and a lineup on my beard. Throughout the haircut I felt hard scratches that came from the clippers, that i've never felt at any barber shop in my life. I had to remind her that I wanted my beard to be lined up, and she lined it up. But here's the thing, she was rough, had no care or anything. She pressed the clippers into my neck and just shaved my skin off so quickly. Then after that she grabbed the automatic shaved and pressed that into my neck as well. By the time I was done, my entire neck was red and beyond scratched up. Having to go to work with all these scratches and redness on my neck is not fun, constantly being asked what happened. I'm taking the steps to heal the skin, and if this happens to you, go to your local Walmart or Target to get some Aloe Vera gel, it will help cool down that burning sensation, and it will heal your skin. Anywho, this is the worst experience i've had with a barber. I'm never stepping in that shop again. Good luck to all who go and try this place out, just stating my opinion and my experience. This place sucks. Favors regulars and they do not like new customers. I came in sat down and waited while the barber there just sat around and watched tv. Eventually after he got his fill of tv he said what do you want. I should've walked out but needed to get my haircut and didn't know where else to go. All other barbers were closed at the time. I understand the conversation inside barber shops are supposed to be fun and the conversations held in this place is harassment. Will never recommend anyone to go there.
