This is a busy barber shop. I came here with someone else back in September but I was still trying different budget hair salons instead of barber shops. In other parts of the country, I'd given up barbers when I was about 13 years old because they had two different methods of cutting hair--trimming and shredding. Back around January/February, I was in San Diego and had a moment or three during the rain to have my hair cut. There are so many barbers who do more than hold the clippers one way, remove almost all of your hair, and then, turn them over, to clean up the rest. In any case, I came here today to get 2 months' worth of a trim. There was a fairly long wait. The barber closest to the door said "hi!". I took a seat, and along the way, they told someone 45 minutes, as a wait time. Some were going with a selected barber, and the barber in the middle was talking about going to classes at barber school--is that a good thing to say in front of customers? Eventually, most everyone was gone and I looked at the barber furthest back who had just finished with someone, and he nodded, so I took a seat in his chair. I took a lot of time to become comfortable, but he asked me how I wanted my hair and he worked to get it that way. Later, we talked casually, as he did with other customers after he got a call about grilling out. It was a bit nostalgic to see one of the chairs with an ashtray and we talked about that, and I said something about military barbers who basically just removed hair. He almost did that. As far as I can tell, he did a better job than the barber down in Chula Vista, but that one can draw in the back of your hair--and I don't need hair-ustrations. Great proper barber experience. Came in at 8am on a Saturday, hella people! I would say around a 40 minute wait. I only got a minor traditional blended trim with rounded back, so I can't speak for any other specific sort of cut. It took maybe 10-15 minutes. Total time there was 1 hour. Best thing was that they used warm shaving cream and razor for the finishing touch. Absolutely loved this! Nocha, I want to say, was a gentleman and has surgical hands. This place is solid, as far as my barber that helped me. I will be back for future trimmings. read more

Brought my son in here for his first hair cut. It was pretty slow but had to wait because each barber contemplated giving my son a cut. I get it he's 1. But it's your job and I'm a paying customer. They did an amazing job and I appreciate the person who stepped up and cut his hair. hence the 2 stars. Otherwise I would give them a one star. The second time dad brought him in and sat and waited for an hour. Instead of turning him away when he walked in they told him an hour after waiting they couldn't see my son because they are closing. So unprofessional and not how you treat paying customers. read more

By far the best barber shop in town. Has 4 very friendly and skilled barbers who actually take their time and won't let you leave looking like $#!t unless you insist on it. I came in today for the first time to have 5 months of hair and beard growth chopped off and gave my man Nachi a pretty vague description of what I wanted, explaining that I just need to be cleaned up for some upcoming job interviews, and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. I got a fantastic cut, my beard now looks neat and clean, and when I got home my lady instantly approved! However there are a few things you should be aware of before coming in. 1) They only accept cash, so drop by an ATM to make everybody's life a little easier. Their prices are fantastic though and you likely won't be spending much more than $20 here. 2) They aren't going to rush to get you into a chair. Like I said previously, they take their time to assure you look your absolute best before leaving. They extend this courtesy to everyone and that can take some time. 3) It's a neighborhood barbershop. There's folks from all different walks of life. If this bothers you you may want to find a different shop. But if you enjoy getting to know your neighbors and community then this is the place fore you. read more

Nachi is the best. This place hands down gives the best fade in manteca. Me and my son visit often. I highly recommend anyone to this place.

First time going here and it reminded me of the neighborhood barber shop I grew up with. Not only haircuts but I got a shave as well. That there is a dying art. Will be going there now. read more

Good place to get a nice fade but make sure you have time because it can take a while sometimes but it's worth the wait. Best time to get a cut is during the week before Friday afternoon. It's cash only. Regular fade is $13. read more

I take my 2 sons too the middle barber erney (with all the tattoos) he does a great job. Both my boys get completely different haircuts and he's perfected them both. Finishes both with straight edge razor. Very friendly, professional and makes us feel comfortable. Won't go anywhere else but to him. read more

Great place to get a haircut, been coming here for about 5 years. Would recommend to anyone seeking a new barbershop. Only reason i took off a star is the fact that they open so late on mondays! Sign sais 10am, but you will be waiting around outside for 30-60min if you show up at that time. If you guys want to open at noon on monday then put that on your door so you don t have customers sitting outside the shop when your supposed to be open. read more
