Our GC recommended them and the communication was awful from the get go . Never returning phone calls or text messages . When the head on one of the sprinklers was not functioning properly from the beginning- they did not come out to fix it . Do not use this company . How do they stay in business ? Awful customer service. The owner was actual very indignant when I would text him after business hours . We ran a small business and I always answered my customers questions " after business hours " bc during business hours many hard working folks are doing just that - working . If you are in a " service " type of business answering your future customers is only being respectful of your customers time . Stay clear of this company . read more

Just awful. We signed a contract and waited an entire year for them to come and do a simple patio addition. The entire project would've taken less than one day, but I waited a year only to be told that they would be doing the work when I would not be able to be present. Anytime you try to contact them you are forced to email their office administrator who merely forward your email to some mysterious person who is always in the field. You never can get clear answers and you'll never get the work done. I don't know why they even bother signing a contract. This is absolutely not a place to do business with. read more

I am finally embracing social media to say, STAY AWAY. I have been a customer for six years that has gradually cut back on what are their "high margin" services, i.e. cutting grass that does not need to be cut. I am a divorced, middle aged woman who lives and works in Mashpee. I pay my bills promptly and my home could be their showcase, yet after three months of neglect I have decided that I am going to pull my own weeds rather than hope that they might show up to provide services that they contracted for. Does anyone have any doubt that if I did not pay, their company would have recourse. I am interested in learning if I do. The proprietors should be out after hours pulling weeds, stumps, digging irrigation and following through on every verbal and written commitment they have made. read more

After several years, they stopped doing my yard, because they said they had to get rid of some customers. I always paid on time , even when they charged me $500 to cut down a small tree. In addition, they have the nerve to use a photo of my yard on their website, with a quote superimposed from another customer. Totally unscrupulous company. read more

Run, don't walk, away from Clipper Landscape on Cape Cod. When they bid, they will likely give a competitive price, selling the virtues of their customer service. But this is so far from reality! Our neighborhood contracted with them to undertake a large landscaping project (regrading soil and installing underground drains, then rebuilding torn up tar/stone walkways, and replacing grass and bushes). Workers regularly leave work incomplete as they move on to the next building, attempting to stay on schedule, which they do not. There appears to be virtually no onsite supervision. Management is quick to promise resolution, but they rarely deliver. A few examples... A huge underground outtake drain was installed too high, not per engineering spec, resulting in grounds flooding. They did fix this by installing another drain properly, leaving the old one in the ground and not screwing down its 8-10" wide drain cap which opened in wind. A danger for people and animals. Over 2 months later it is still not screwed down, a rock was simply left on top of the cap. A huge amount of junk has been left lying around a building front yard (burlap ground covers left in heaps, old ropes, snow sticks they broke rather than remove...). Muddy bulldozer tire tracks are permanently implanted in several newly tarred walkways, apparently used before set, heavy rains do not wash them away. Lots of stones and sand were scattered on driveways; after months of requests to clean up, the mess was simply swept onto a flower bed rather than being removed where it still lies over 5 months later. When asked to complete work and cleanup, their usual response is "by the end of the week," but work is never done. These above issues still exist 2-5 months after original requests for follow-though. Also, their landscaping design is pretty mundane - a cookie cutter approach based on symmetry rather than having an eye towards artistry. And it took many meetings before they finally understood functional requirements, such as soil and plants far enough from shingles to prevent rotting. Some of the work they have done, such as stone walkways, is quality. But this is at a huge price of poor service and upset neighbors. For a company chartered with beautifying grounds, it is amazing the number of ways the opposite has been the result. read more

My experience with Clipper Landscaping was hands down the worst I have ever had with any sort of service organization. Utilities, cable company, airlines, wherever you've had bad service, they've topped them all. I paid the bill, slightly discounted, largely because there were too many important things in my life for me to stress over this company. First of all, after an initial communication, this company pretty much failed to communicate at all. I told them I wanted advance notice of the work and the next thing I heard from them was an invoice for work completed. And then it took over two months to actually speak with anybody who had any authority. They put heavy equipment on my lawn and driveway in early February, while the ground was soft and rutted both up. Any knowledgeable landscaper would have known better. They threw mulch on top of broken cinder blocks and other trash, and did not even remove one brush pile. They failed in the critical task, which was to remove the root mass of weeds and poison ivy that had taken over the margins of the yard. The weeds are up already, despite what they did and mulch they put down. I had wanted, and been willing to pay for, the removal of the weedy root mass on the margins of my small property and the removal of trash in those margins. Clipper failed on both accounts. And was extremely frustrating to deal on top of that. I admit it, their tactics worked on me. Don't let them work on you. read more

I think this is one of the most unprofessional and inconsiderate businesses I have ever encountered. This is my first Yelp review, but I want to warn future customers of this landscaping service. After waiting months for a spring cleanup, they setup the job for June 29 and didn't show. After my calling and emailing, they returned my call and said something came up and they couldn't come. After that it was rescheduled and again they didn't show up or call. Today they had the third time to finally do the job and once again , no show or call. I live in the Boston area and go out of my way to come down to North Falmouth so I can be here for the job and make sure everything is done to the specifications of the contract. For Clipper Landscaping to schedule 3 times and not only to not show up but also not have the curtesy to call, instead of having me wait over 2-3 hours for a no-show. This is unacceptable business practice. For a company that was charging $1500 for a couple hours of work. What a waste of time and I now doubt that the job would even have been done well. read more

I thought that I had a decent company until they tore up my driveway with their equipment digging up and installing plants. Sure, the owner (yada yada) "promised" me that he would have someone come repair and coat my driveway. Well that was 2 years ago. loudest operation in town. noise pollution is unbearable. they literally come weekly and just drive their noise-making machines around for an hour and the yard looks no different when they leave. they commonly have several machines going at once (including 6-8 gas-powered leaf blowers in the fall). i'm sure their employees will all be deaf in a matter of time. don't hire unless you want very angry neighbors. read more
