Clocktown has been a go to spot since it opened. The atmosphere is only exceeded by the staff. Everyone is always friendly and attentive. Along with their everyday menu, food specials change weekly to always have something new that you have to try. Great drink specials too. This may be a brewery, but you will always find something for everyone. On day one, I went to this place as a patron, now I go as a friend!!! Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, but I came at lunchtime on a Friday and the beer and food were great. IPAs were really well done (WPF and FS08), sour was meh but the other styles were great as well. (In flight form.) Panini bread for my sandwich was excellent (as was the rest of the sandwich and sweet potato fries). Overall great quality at not-killer prices. Service was totally fine. Frequent visitor to ClockTown Brewing Co. Cocktails are always on point and apps as well. Try the wings, although with market prices these days they can be a bit pricey. Smashburger, Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and fried Cauliflower bites are very good. Hot honey sauce is a fav. Got the fried Brussels which were a bit heavy on the fried and not so much on the Brussels. They forgot to top those with bacon or the hot honey, so that was a bit disappointing. You know everything is better with bacon! Pizza menu has the classics and some wild flavor combo specials. Good atmosphere, wide open space. High top table chairs need to be replaced with something more comfortable but overall solid place. Love the tableside cc payment method; techno-snappy! read more

So the reason I'm giving 2 stars is because in my experiences, the brewery beer & mixed drinks are always good. But today, the service & customers service was way less than desirable. It started off on a Sunday at noon, not too busy but really nice weather out. Wanted to sit outside at one of the many open tables. At first, the hostess was not going to let us because we didn't have enough guests for all the seats at the table. Finally she let us have one of those tables, by the time we left...was still not that busy...plenty of open tables. Then we order food and appetizers....everything comes at once, except my husband's order. 2 major issues: Wings appetizers...served with our meals...sauce on wings was sooooo yummy but wings were breaded...not that hot ...temp wise and all bones were broken.,.. ?my husband still did not get his pizza. He's says something to the waitress...she brings out his cold pizza. Ugh ... we never complain..after covid I've come to expect mediocre food/service everywhere I go as prices get higher but cold pizza...no way. The manager comes out...first she says wings are not breaded....like no way is that accurate... no excuse for cold pizza.. not that busy and people working inside are all standing around. I just can't give enough excuses anymore for this poor quality. It's just not acceptable anymore. I'm working class & work hard... should be able to enjoy going out. The service was very very very slow. We waited almost 20 minutes just for drinks and another hour for appetizers. The food was honestly horrible too. The chicken sandwich was like a brick and they messed up a lot of our orders. The only good thing I have to say is the drinks were good. read more

Great outdoor seating with heat lamps. Has a lot TVs for sports inside. Nice inside, clean, open seating and worth going to. Beer, and mixed cocktail selections. Food was good, especially the burger. read more

The place is cute and has a lot of potential. However, there was far too much focus on the limited time we were allowed to spend there. The waitress started by telling our party that we have 2 hours only. This was felt throughout the evening and even upon requesting a dessert menu, which they provided along with our check before we ordered dessert. This is not at all welcoming, and as such, we will likely not return knowing this now. I've never felt the pressure of time in any other similar venue when the point is to relax and enjoy yourself. In this way, they made it clear that they were more concerned with moving as many customers through (increasing profit) than they were having us feel like welcomed guests. read more

What a great find! Went the first time and just loved the vibe there. Open, spacious, clean, upbeat & friendly staff. Food was great! Had a mix of things...pizza, wings & delicious drinks! Merlinda & Riley were our bartenders and rocked it! So much fun! Oh...there was great live music too! We had so much fun, we went back a week later. Consistency is key. Service, food, drinks and ambiance was top notch. We ventured outside after a while and sat by the fire pit, which was large and very cool, as we chatted up some people and ended up with new friends. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. When we asked to return our pizza because the pizza dough was still raw, paper thin, and soggy, waitress just rolled her eyes and continued to roll her eyes throughout the rest of the service. On top of that, it took 15 minutes to get a refill on my drink; when there were only 4 other tables there and 10 staff members walking around. Very negligent and rude staff....if you're looking for decent customer service, you won't find it here. read more

The atmosphere seems like more of a bar than a brewery. The beer was ok, not great, we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated and we had to shout to each other because of the noise. Again, if you like bars, then this place has it all. If you would like to have a beer, a little food and have a conversation, I would go elsewhere. read more

Food was really good, we had the October Pizza and sliders on the special menu. We sat at the bar, they were very short staffed. Pizza wasn't sliced, we had to speak to a server as we couldn't get our bartenders attention to get the pizza cut. Pizza came back 15 minutes later delivered by the server. The bartender that originally waited on us, never came back to check on us. We had to flag him down, we also noticed he was drinking shots and beers and lazy, not attentive at all. The food, atmosphere, and beer/spirits were all great! The server was not friendly. She was an older lady. She came to the table looking annoyed....never said her name or asked us how we are doing. The place got busy after dinner and no one cleared our plates. I waved a busser to clear our plates and to bring us to go containers. I also gave the busser our dessert order. The dessert took 45mins. The not so friendly waitress changed her tune and became overly apologetic. The dessert was also missing an ingredient that my daughter noticed. We passed the 2hr time limit on the table but that was on them! I was in the F&B industry for 15years so I understand the ins/outs. I usually tip 20% but I only gave 15%. I saw tons of bugs in the kitchen before so be careful. Everybody is extremely rude here and one lady heard a waitress being rude to me and ran to tell me about several racist experiences she had heard previous and that she wouldn't be coming back. They are always understaffed so that the waitresses can make money but it's at the detriment of customers who wait very long wait times to receive their orders. read more

Imagine writing an update for a Brewery... now imagine a world with deliciously cold beer, excellent food, a staff that is beyond wonderful, an atmosphere that combines Connecticut history and local industry! ClockTown you've done it. If this Brewery magically turned into a Unicorn and ended world hunger and ushered in a new age of peace and prosperity I'd only say... yeah that sounds about right. If you haven't visited this Brewery before I can only say you haven't truly lived. Melodramatic, no. Overly complimentary, hardly. Isn't the hard work of others worth celebrating? Isn't beer worth fighting for? Short answer - yes! It's worth visiting! The most important question... yes the beer is awesome. They have a selection that's very diverse for such a young brewery, it opened in October 2020. The Second Hand New England IPA is my favorite, I'd recommend you check out their website, definitely a legit selection. This brewing company was well planned! The outside patio and bag-toss (cornhole) area is spacious. The inside is even nicer! It has the feel of a large beer hall. Behind the bar you'll see the heart of the brewery. Clock Town definitely captures the historical, industrial essence of Thomaston. It seriously towers above any restaurant I've been to in CT. The staff is incredibly welcoming and nice, the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. It's probably going to be busy when you go, of course I always consider that a good sign. It's not cheap, it won't break the bank but don't expect cheap beer here - that's what liquor stores and local bars are for. They have trivia, they have a bags (cornhole) league, they have a beer-mug club. The logo is cool as hell! The food is great. I could seriously go on and on. It's worth a visit, it's worth repeat visits. So if you like craft beer, music, food, mixed drinks, desserts, or having fun... go! And just in-case you're as critical & cynical as I am, I am just a guy with absolutely no connection to ClockTown in any way... other than loving their beer etc. And if you've read this far, well I hope I haven't wasted your time. My boyfriend recently retired and we celebrated at the brewery- it was awesome- location perfect the food was tasty and hot and the brewery had the best servers - so friendly and kind and with the music from Walter it was a great party. Even the guests to the brewery helped celebrate Kens retirement- love this place. read more

Don't know how you can call yourself a brewery when your beer is really bad. Would not go if you actually like beer. Their sour was alright but all IPA's get a 1/10. Pizza was watery not sure how you can accomplish that and every time I go they are severely understaffed. The only good food was the dessert pizza which took an hour to come out. read more

All 10 of us were enjoying our visit at this brewery listening to a duo we love. Sarah our server was great! Drinks were great and most of our food was great too however our pizza was pretty black but was still sent out from the kitchen.. but we didn't complain, brewery was packed. Our party spent over $700 in 2 hrs then we were told we had to leave.. 2 hour limit! Never heard of such a rule and I have been in the restaurant industry for 30 years . We regretfully got up to watch the band for their remainder 30 min, standing from a corner of the brewery. Our table sat empty for that last 1/2 the band was playing. My party would have spent at least another $100 in that 1/2 hour. I could understand if there were people waiting to sit but there wasn't . There were empty tables. Needless to say.. very disappointed because of this rule. Would have given 5 Stars if they didn't ask us to leave. Not sure if the gang will be back.. we like to enjoy ourselves and not be rushed. read more
