They have such a cool variety of beers that I'm sure even the pickiest beer drinker would find something to their liking! Seltzers are awesome too! The New Cambridge Project is just getting started! I can't wait to see how they grow throughout their first year but right now they are absolutely killing it! I'm a fan! Will be back for sure!!

They are nestled near some trees and has a very nice outdoor area. We went on a Saturday night when it was busy, but the service was excellent. There was enough outdoor seating on the patio and front of the building. They had live music and a food truck which was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I really enjoyed that they had table service outside rather than having to go back into the bar. The server was very attentive. He made some small talk, which was nice and not too over bearing. Now the important part- the beer! We decided to get flights since we only find ourselves in the north west part of the state a few times of the year. I tried the fruited Shandy, an IPA, the black IPA and the porter. I am throughly impressed by all. The shandy was so refreshing- nice for a summer day. The IPA was hoppy (as always) and a little sweet so it was refreshing also. The Black IPA tasted more like a coffee porter but I was a fan! The porter was also very good, I liked it more than the Black IPA. Had a little more body. I definitely look forward to visiting this place again!

Their lineup is always evolving, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy pushing boundaries--whether it's a hazy bursting with tropical hops or one of their wild, dessert‑leaning experimental releases. There's a sense of playfulness here that keeps every visit interesting. The taproom has a great vibe: relaxed, welcoming, and just quirky enough to match the personality of the beers. It's the kind of place where you can settle in for a couple pours, chat with friends, and work your way through a flight without feeling rushed. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the staff clearly cares about what they're pouring. They're quick with recommendations and happy to talk through the weirder offerings, which adds to the experience. If there's one thing keeping it from a full five stars, it's consistency--some beers absolutely crush it, while others feel more like fun experiments that don't quite land. But honestly, that's part of the charm here. When Abomination hits, they hit big. Overall, a must‑visit for anyone who loves bold, creative craft beer and a taproom with a personality! Cheers

The beer was very good and the service was courteous. The only negative on the night was that they didn't have any merch for sale - no glasses or hats or tees - which is very odd. Almost Famous Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in East Granby, Connecticut in…read moreFebruary 2022. It was founded by business partners Chip Glanovsky and head brewer Jim Wilfinger. Friends since high school, the two partners began brewing their own beer using fresh fruit and natural ingredients. Eventually, they had a dream of opening their own brewery. In 2018, they registered their brand as "Blind Faith Brewing Company, LLC". On paper, they are still known under that name. However, sometime before their brick and mortar brewery opened in 2022, they discovered that Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing Company had already copyrighted the name "Blind Faith" for an English IPA of theirs. Needing a new name quick, Chip and Jim settled on "Almost Famous" in reference to the 2000 film directed by Cameron Crowe. The name is also meant to honor all people who almost got famous but didn't in the end. I recently visited Almost Famous for the first time. I immediately loved the space. It's very spacious with a large taproom, plenty of seating, a private event room, a billiards room, and a classic arcade room. I also loved the Rock 'n' Roll theme that was going on. The bar was built to resemble Marshall amplifiers, truss towers, and the tap handles were all different guitars. I started off with a sampler flight that featured "Anything's Impossible" (American Pilsner), "Tangent" (Tangerine Fruited Sour), "Stranger Than Fiction" (Cream Stout), "Everybody Wants Some!" (Pineapple Vanilla Bean Milkshake IPA) and "Bitch 'B' trippin" (Double New England IPA). The latter two were my favorites. Afterwards, I enjoyed a full pour of "Bubblegumption" (Bubblegum Milkshake IPA). Overall, I had a great experience at Almost Famous. I would love to return with my family in the future; my sons will love the arcade!

Fantastic. Over the top. I ordered the Poutine. The fries were perfectly crispy, the queso was rich and flavorful, and the egg on my dish was absolute perfection. We went on a Saturday (February) afternoon and it was pretty busy but we were able to snag a table. They were playing reggae music, the fire was going, beers/cider/wine were flowing; a fun and chill afternoon. They offer so many beers from all different breweries! I didn't really know what to expect before going and this place was on my "to check out" list. I was pleasantly surprised. I was happy they were kid friendly because we brought our two little ones. I saw some people eating pretzels and we got some delicious buttered popcorn to snack on. The kitchen offers wings, chips/salsas, lobster rolls, bratwurst/kielbasa, burgers, etc. They have food trucks onsite, but when we were there (early afternoon) I didn't see one yet. I can't wait to go back during the summer/fall because their yard looked fantastic. They had a small stage, picnic tables, and fire pits.
