Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. This is a true IYKYK! Once you have visited Horrocks, you will return for life. This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. From floral, to meats, cheeses, wine, speciality items, fruits, snacks, vegetables, hard-to-find items and more. There is so much more! Things that stood out even though I loved everything about this place: -the vast selection of canisters of olive oils -the vast array of different varieties of balsamic vinegars (amazing!) -house made items in every area -house made popcorn with so many flavors, so fresh. -the many, many homemade soups: probably around 20 different kinds and delicious. -a ramen bar, what? -bakery -pizzeria -exotic fruits and vegetables and regulars ones too -the wine bar: sip while you shop. -house-made sausages and cheeses -house-made jams, jellies, local honey -extensive variety of spices, herbs, flour and grains - great service, very helpful. Picture a massive Costco sized store, but instead of big brand bulk items, it's local delicious specialty food items. You can find interesting things here. I recommend you set aside two hours to explore. I'm serious. They have a bar that also includes non-alcoholic beverages and the shopping carts include a cup holder. Where to start though? Fruits, vegetables, soup bar, cheese galore, huge candy bar with Michigan fudge... Lots of frozen meats and vegetable packs, a chilled dairy room, fresh sausages. Oh, the COFFEE and the OIL section?! Yes, you can taste the different oil flavors. And you can and will find the coffee that suits any taste. I make a 1.5 hour drive to go here every now and then, and it's always worth it. Bring reusable bags to keep your frozen food cold. And don't step in the plant section unless you want to come home with some flowers or a pretty plant, it's too tempting! I'm not saying anymore. On a recent camping trip with some friends we made several stops at Country Market for "provisions"…read more(beer and snacks). It's not far from Michigan International Speedway and on the way to our lunch destination. The inside is deceptively large. I did not expect this store to be this large, but it's enormous and well laid out. The décor is very down-home/country (like its name says) and it's kept very clean. On a 95° day it's nice to go inside and soak up a little air conditioning, so meandering each and every aisle with my friends was kind of like a field trip. The produce department is quite sizable I saw two staff members tending to the produce, keeping it stocked and well maintained. The deli was hopping (it was Race Weekend). I needed to purchase a cooler to take to the track but wasn't having a lot of locating one. One of the Produce staff paused what he was doing and told me exactly where to find it. I got an insulated Coleman® six-can cooler for just $20(US). They have a HUGE selection of beer, both craft and domestic and a very nicely stocked beer cave. When it comes to snacks, they got them in huge tracts of lands. Pretzels to Doritos® to bean dip to jerky, they've got you covered. Checking out was a breeze, with plenty of cashiers manning the registers. Yes, you saw that right. Cashiers running registers. The more the big grocery stores switch to self-checkout the more you start to appreciate interacting with a human. Since I live about 6 hours away there's a good chance I won't be visiting any time soon, but next year I already know where my "provisions" will come from.

Terrible customer service. I was looking to purchase some pokemon cards, which are rarely in stock…read more Surprisingly there were two boxes in stock on the very bottom shelf shoved toward the back. I noticed the one box was completely ripped open on the side and two packs of cards had been stolen from it, so I thought I would bring it to the customer service desk to make them aware people were stealing the cards. The other box was the same as the first and had been partially opened on the side, as if the thief was going to open it and steal packs from it too but didn't get to it all the way. I planned on purchasing the second one at the customer service desk since it had not been opened all the way and nothing was taken from inside the box. The lady at the customer service counter immediately took the obviously opened box from me as they of course could not sell it anymore, which I expected. So as I put the second (slightly opened) box onto the counter to purchase she proceeded to over inspect it and say the thief had stolen from that box as well. When clearly it wasn't even ripped open all the way and nothing had been taken from it. She frantically called her manager and told me he would not allow her to sell either one of them to me. I understand not being able to purchase the first box because it had been deliberately ripped open and two packs were clearly taken from it but the second box was still in good enough condition to sell with all the product still inside the box. But I was not allowed to purchase it due to "legal reasons". I thought this was ridiculous. The customer service representative rushed through the interaction, somewhat misunderstood the situation and over reacted, in turn losing a sale for her store and me a chance for new cards for my son. Needless to say I was pretty bummed out because it was the first time in months I had found any new pokemon product in stock at this location. I understand retail can be difficult and demanding for employees, but customers should leave the customer service department feeling like their concerns have been heard and their issues have been addressed, at least in some way. Especially when the customer is trying to do the right thing. Please do better in the trading card area with security and such, as well as patience and understanding with customer issues. Thank you
