I'm a HUGE fan! I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Located off of Jones Bridge, in the same shopping center as the Kroger. They offer parking. One of the best parts about this place is its open Sundays. It's one of the only consignment stores in the area that has great hours for the working folks! They typically have a $5-10 cart on the outside with some items they're trying to clear. I have found some amazing theory pants on this rack. They carry all types of brands; From high-end to moderate brands, but all in great condition. They will have a sign at the front to tell you what colors are on sale. This weekend I scored a pair of AGOLDE jeans for $8. Amazing! I usually get a good amount of items for under $70. The brands I picked up included, AGOLDE, Banana Republic (NWT and this season), and some theory pants for $11. The customer service is okay. You will get greeted sometimes, sometimes you won't. I've never had a negative experience tho. Everyone is always readily available to help, if you require it. FINAL VERDICT: if I'm ever on a thrift marathon, this is always on my list of places to stop at. I absolutely adore their inventory and I love to shop second hand. While they have been there for years, I made my first visit today in order to consign clothing for me and my 89-year-old mother. And mother who is on oxygen and on a Rollator. Not easy to transport, but she was so excited because she doesn't get out much and she thought this would be a fun day for us. Boy, were we wrong. We spent the entire day yesterday getting summer clothes together as when we called, they said they're only taking summer things. However, on this day, we find out they're only taking "transitional" clothing. They sent several reminders that we had an appointment today at 1:30 with Martha, however when we got there, we did not meet with Martha. It was someone else. but learned later that Martha was sitting steps away, never greeted us. As the owner, I find that disrespectful. After they went through some of our things they decided most of them were too summery. They were only gonna keep a few things and it was at that time, they said they needed to be able to keep 15 things. That was never mentioned on any of the calls or reminders. I asked to speak to the owner and all of a sudden from the back office, I hear I'm back here come in rather than her get up and meet the guest. Her name is Martha the lady I had an appointment with that never came out. I'm shocked at the good reviews must be family members writing in. I've since told a friend about this experience and she said most of the people and Country Club of the South know of this rude owner. To add insult to injury, I am a plus size woman and one of the "ladies"held up my dress and asked her associate "do we take things this big" and the other girl very rudely said "oh no"! In a nutshell, they appeared to be a bunch of people who think they're wielding some power by picking over people's clothing. It turned out really great though cause instead, I went straight to Goodwill and donated these nice items. Still most of them have tags. Feels good to be good to people. At least the recipients can enjoy them and will be appreciative. read more

Really fun place to buy and sell upscale clothing. A lot of things have tags, they rotate stock very quickly and you can find some high-quality cool pieces here. This second hand consignment is right down the rd from me and they have some great prices on second hand clothing and also run some great deals based on color tags. I also consign with them. They have live selling events throughout the week on Facebook and they post online. Which helps my clothes have more visibility for selling. Definitely check them out. A friend who lived nearby for a while turned me onto Closet Exchange over 2.5 years ago. I bought a cardigan on my first visit and came back the following week with a trunkful of clothes to consign. In spite of probably earning several hundred dollars via clothes sales at this store, I can't remember ever getting a check... because I spend it all before I leave! The shop is located in the same strip mall as the Senor Patron Mex restaurant and the Fresh Market grocery store. It's decently seized for a consignment store and they are really good about keeping the racks rotating. The store is organized by clothing type, then by size, then by color. Seriously, it's a dream to walk in and see everything grouped together the way it is. They only currently sell women's clothes and accessories, including petite and plus size. Shoe selection tends to be pretty solid and there are always a few designer handbags in the glass display cases. (Today, for example, there was a Kate Spade, a Brahmin clutch, and several MK / Coach items.) To the folks who had bad service experience - I would guess that's your attitude, not the way that these ladies work. Everyone's been perfectly nice to me without hovering. If I wanted someone to fawn over me and push clothes on me I would go shop at the Shoppes at Buckhead. read more

I am a big fan of consignment and had been wanting to check this place out for a long time. They have a huge selection... Maybe a little too big for my taste but I like a smaller scale store with more high end items. This store had a ton of product ranging from all major brand names and a decent selection of upscale product lines as well. The prices are excellent and if you like bargain hunting you'll definitely enjoying stopping in. I got an adorable Leopard faux fur coat that just perfectly suits me for $12 so I was excited. I like this place. I usually walk out with something (most times a dress or a pair of shoes) they have a big selection of both. I like to look at the second hand purses I still can't afford while trying not to drool on the counter space. I've consigned some clothes here and always love having a little bit of money in my account...not like I ever see it as I wind up spending it in the store. My favorite purchase was by far a pair of dolce and gabana sunglasses. $60 and I looked fabulous until I got sand all over them. Come in here,they have something for everyone. And what people say about rude sales staff... Look if you want someone following you around the store go to the mall. The women who work here are more than willing to help you find things/tell you how you look. Just ask! I'd rather ask someone then have unsolicited advice while I'm just trying to quickly shop while the credit card is burning holes through my pocket! read more

Wow what a great store hidden in suburbia! My sister had recommended it to me, saying that they had variety, style, and good prices-all I look for. It had designer labels mixed in with smaller brands, and it was a dream come true for a college student's wallet! I left with a $13 brand new Calvin Klein dress and a super cute silk interview shirt. Very shady business practices. I brought numerous items to be consigned and was never paid what I was told I would be. They do not respond to emails period and when I called and spoke with Martha, she said she would not deal with it anymore. They give you nothing that shows what they even sold things for. I was supposed to be paid 50% on all items over $100 and Martha cannot do simple math because they shorted me hundreds of dollars. She said she did not have records to address it (even though items sold last month) and would not accept the figures from the records SHE SENT ME. Shady, shady, shady. For low end stuff they may be fine, but zero comprehension of designer goods. read more

I was lucky to get out of there with any money! I found some wonderful things for great prices. The selection is excellent and the management has presented the items well. Everything is clean and tidy. No wrinkly messes here! They have nice changing rooms too. I found some amazing brand new leather loafers (dark silver - awesome!), as well as two sweaters and a top. Closet exchange not my favorite. Clothes dated and fir an older person. No young or middle age selection. The worst part is service horrible. No one came to greet me or ask me if I need help. In fact they had a conversation among themselves the entire time I shopped. I did not buy anything because they seem unappreciative of my business. They did not say goodbye when I was leaving. For the past 4 years this has been my favorite consignment shop based on the selection of high quality, higher end clothing- and great prices. The shop was spacious and service was friendly. They recently moved across the street to a smaller location, which I believe was a step backwards. They have fewer items and it is more crowded. I've just visited CE at their latest location and I like what they've done in the new space, I think the dressing rooms are even bigger. The staff has been very friendly and helpful without hovering. I frequently end up buying off their displays since I like the outfits they put together and they've always been gracious in stripping the mannequins! Their first prices can be a bit pricey so if you want to watch dates and come back when items are cheaper the dates are clearly shown on the tags. I've never consigned here so can't comment on that process. As usual with and consignment clothing just make sure to inspect things thoroughly, a process I've learned to do over the years of consignment or thrift shopping. read more

I consigned my fine jewelry with The Closet Exchange in Johns Creek. The owner did not like our original verbal agreement and wanted more money 6 months later. The owner did set me up in her cash register but I had to do all the tagging and pricing. I agreed on March 22, 2015 and we mutually agreed to make the change after a sip & shop on March 26. I spent 20 + hours repricing and restocking her booth on March 30. On April 2 she called and informed me that she had loaded up my items and wanted me to vacate. At this time I asked about being paid an invoice I had given her on March 30th. The owner told me that she would pay me 60% since see had to pay rent. When I asked her about the remaining 40% she informed me that she had no intention of paying me. On 2/7/15 I SPONSORED a sip and shop. During the entire time I was present in the shop we had no disagreements and I agreed to all her demands, lower price, lower them some more, lower then raise prices so she could draw a higher %. I tried to act professionally at all times in my contact with the store. Often I was not treated cordially and neither her or her daughter would talk to me unless I asked them a question. To date she has made no attempt to pay me the 60%. I had inventory wrapped up in her shop and the bill was for 3 months. Beware of who you consign with, if they do not treat consigners in a respectful way... MOVE ON read more

I love this store! The selection is very current and the prices are amazing! I love that it is small and intimate. Bigger is not always better! I shop in a lot of consignment stores and find this one to be my favorite....the perfect balance of styles, sizes, and price. I find a lot of consignment stores to be overpriced and lacking in the quality and condition of merchandise. Not so with The Closet Exchange. That is especially important because as we all know, all consignment shops have a "no return policy". I pop in frequently so I have a good feel for the shop.
