I have come to totally trust my saleswoman, Suzanne Chance! I have either accompanied or sent my clients directly to work with Suzanne. On a full master remodel in Frisco, my recently widowed client need to make major changes. Suzanne had her climb into and 'feel' the comfort of a soaker tub. We determined the client did not want traditional nor contemporary, but specifically preferred a "Transitional" design for which Suzanne was able to guide my client through the process. If you haven't shopped for fixtures, you will find it's like a candy store... you want to have each and one of every thing which can be overwhelming to decide which to buy; this is where my company comes into play in working with our clients and our vendors/suppliers to make the determination and narrow down the choices. No one has time to look for pricing of 10-20 different items. Have an idea of what you want, limiting to 2-3, if you value your time. What has been more valuable is learning the difference from items bought on Amazon, Ebay and even the big box... they are very cheap with plastic parts and that will not backup with any warranty outside of a short amount of days. This is what my saleswoman taught me and I share this knowledge with my clients. The young woman in Frisco's remodel? She LOVES her Kohler soaker tub and the matching fixtures for the tub, shower and double sinks. Everything looked like it was meant to be and the plumber was able to install all fixtures with ease as we had everything needed, the first time. It turned out beautiful and the homeowner was overwhelming pleased. The best part for our company was the efficiency in getting the materials. Although not everything came in at the same time, Suzanne Chance communicated what was ready for pickup and the status of pending items. She took the time to write on the invoice which listed all components, making a sketch of each product on the line which helped in understanding what goes with what. We had to order our shower kit again because our contractor scratched the original one. We placed the new order and paid in full. A couple days later, we noticed another charge on our credit card from Apex and I called and they said their accounting system was really old and it was some shipping charge and a credit was issued. 2 days later another charge popped up for the same amount and I called back. Now, somehow it's an unpaid balance from the first purchase almost a year ago? They will not tell me what this was for and we paid everything in full both times we ordered. They did not notify us of the charge and charged it to our credit card without our consent! No one will provide any info about this extra charge. They answered all our questions and helped us choose what would work the best for our purpose. We ended up selecting Canyon Gold decomposed granite to cover our pathway.The quality, size and color was great and the result was beautiful. We also bought G3 commercial polymer stabilizer to stabilize the end result so the gravel would not blow away easily when we blow the fallen leaves. After the frustration of painters who won't return messages and painters who come by but will never…read moresend you a quote or return a call, I finally came across Omar. He was quick to return my call. We made an appointment and he showed up. I needed my dining, living, kitchen and breakfast areas painted and was interested in removing the popcorn if the price was doable. The price was good so the whole area got a makeover. They arrived on time. Everything was covered and taped down. Omar and his helper worked diligently only stopping for a short lunch break. He was very organized in his schedule. While waiting for things to dry, he did something else. No time wasted. He finished in 2 days. The ceiling has an orange peel texture and that ugly, dated popcorn is history. The walls are bright and fresh and the change makes the room look bigger. They cleaned up quickly, swept and then put the furniture back to original positions. I cannot recommend Omar enough, especially if you want to enter the abyss of popcorn removal. lol Several months later: I called Omar back to do some work in my kitchen--areas that were too high for me to reach. I wanted him to finish painting my kitchen cabinets and to do the trim around the top. I told him I was very picky about my cabinets and did not want any drips or dragging from using too much paint. He was painting dark blue cabinets and the walls were white. He did a perfect job blending where I stopped and he finished. There were no places where the blue paint got onto the white. There was a issue with what was covered in the price he quoted me. The quote was based on pics I sent him from my phone. He wasn't careful when he read what I needed and didn't look at the pictures closely. But he honored the price he quoted me and did the work. It looks great and I will use him again if the opportunity arises.

Kim Armstrong and her team knocked my socks off. I always wanted to live in a high rise and have a…read moregreat view of the skyline. But, when I found the perfect place, it immediately dawned on me that this place needed professional touch to make it perfect. Kim and her team began by inspecting my blank canvass pad and interviewing me for about an hour. There questions were not directed towards what type of fabrics and colors that I like, but instead, were focused on my interest in music, art, etc. They took my input and went to work. I received great PowerPoint presentations and graphical layouts for what they intended to do with my place. Then, as my place began to take shape, they were open to my input and I was open to theirs. In the end, my apartment turned out amazing. I do not think there is a single think in my home that I would have picked out myself, but there is not a single thing in my place that I do not love and doesn't get rave compliments. Kim and her team worked within my budget, were easy to work with, and I highly recommend them. And, while they tended to do more classical design, they gleefully took on my "modern" project. Kim Armstrong is a phenomenal designer and a pleasure to work with. Not only does she create…read morebeautiful original spaces but she has an amazing ability to pull ideas from even a "designed-challenged" person like me, and was able to guide me effortlessly through the decision process. I needed help with the overall look and feel, layout, and product selection of a master bedroom and guest bedroom, plus advice on some window coverings. I chose the Design Concierge service which ended up being a great fit as I did not need the full-service option. The whole process was very smooth and efficient. A key step to her approach is the initial consultation which Kim does in advance of the full day of design at the house. I sent some pictures of the rooms in advance as well as some photos I had pinned from a home design site. She used the time on the call to discuss my goals for the project and to ask lots of questions to get a feel for my style. Kim came to our in person design day a few days later already armed with targeted, creative ideas and with a good sense of what would be appealing to me. You could tell she had done a good deal of prep work in advance. We tackled one room at a time starting with her taking measurements and inputting them into a CAD program so it would be easy to slot existing and new items into the floorplan. Kim has a wealth of knowledge about products and vendors so she easily came up with multiple options for each decision. She would then place each items I had decided on into the design board right on the spot, so I would not be struggling to visualize how everything will look together. I felt like I was not giving her much to go on in terms of feedback but she was able to quickly zero in on what resonated with me, and offered options in different price ranges. While I never felt like she was pushing me into a direction I wasn't comfortable with, she did encourage me to go a bit out of my comfort zone and consider things that would never have entered my mind (which is kind of the point, right?) Kim is ultra-focused and extremely efficient. I really don't know how she covered as much ground as she did on the day she was here, I felt like she made the most of every minute . As a result we even had time at the end of the day for her to tackle a few random one offs that had been bugging me for years and even pick out paper, paint and light fixtures for laundry room The day was a whirlwind but oh so fun! Within less than a week of our meeting she sent me the completed design boards along with an item-by-item list of the products we had selected along with links directly to the vendor sites. She also included detailed instructions /work orders to give to for example the firm making the custom draperies and floor plans so I could remember where everything goes. This made the implementation so easy. I am so pleased with the overall result and the whole process. I highly recommend Kim Armstrong!
