Service was great they placed items where i wanted them. Storage was at a better rate than my local storage center. I didn't have to go through the hassle of moving all my items nor renting a costly moving truck. I definatly will use closet box again if i move. Let me first mention my first experience was great when my items are moved out of my place but TRUST ME the more you do Business with them it become's terrible and a headache they charge for EVERYTHING !!! I paid $196 on the 12th just for Must belongings been in storage then turn around for them to deliver items is $99 on 3/21 I spoke with them on the other day they said they can have my items delivered by Saturday March 17th or 18th then they turn around and email me and tell me they won't be able to deliver my items until the 21st or 22nd then I asked can I go pick up some of my items to put in my vehicle IT's A CHARGE for that TOO so basically they said it's a return charge for going to get your own items by yourself RIDICULOUS no storage should charge you for going to get your own items not to mention the girl they both just booked my delivery she was EXTREMELY rude and she hung up in my face honestly I wouldn't recommend no one wasting their money with closet box. Closetbox is an amazingly good company! My movers were very professional and took the time needed to make sure my items were wrapped and stored in a good way to prevent any damage. I felt secure in the fact that my things were itemized and bar coded. I received a copy of the itemized list and didn't have a single worry when the team drove away. I have a LOT of Christmas decorations, which I have stored in my attic for years. As I am older now, pulling boxes upon boxes out of the attic and then carrying them downstairs is not only difficult but dangerous. The cost of storing is much less than the cost of injury would be, not to speak of how much easier it is for me. The process was easy and well organized by Closetbox. Reps were professional, friendly, and pickup was on time. I wish that I could give this company a ZERO. They are a very deceptive company that offers Free pickup of your items. It is definitely not Free. I have been a customer with Closetbox for a year. I have paid nearly $2,000 in storage fees. When I inquired about removing items from storage, I was told that in order to Access my items they would charge me to view them or pick up my own items. They attempted to justify this by stating they have workers pull my items so there is a fee associated. I paid my monthly storage fee of $163.00 on August 19th, on August 25th I was charged an additional $135.00 for removing items. Keep in mind they charged me $135 without even notifying me of the amount that I would be charged. I just happened to look in my account and my money was gone. Then when I called to see what my new storage fee was, they told me $73 because I have to have at least a 5x5 so that's the least they could charge me. None of this was explained to me when I signed up for the service. I feel completely bamboozled by this company. In less than 2 weeks they have hustled me out of nearly $400!!!! I am beyond pissed off. Not to mention their storage costs are high compared to other storage facilities but I didn't mind paying more because I thought I was getting their "Free" service. Oh and get this they claim that other storage facilities have "sneaky adminitstrative fees", but they are the ones that are sneaky. Also trying to get a delivery date or access date is a joke. They keep changing the times and the storage facility is not available on the weekend. So plan on taking off work to go across town. I had them deliver some items to someone I sold my bed to and the crew was unprofessional talking on their cell phones and using slang like "chopping it up with the customer". They are not a bad company, but could seriously use some major adjustments. Getting my pick up established was a headache. I initially entered my information online, and the correspondence with reps thereafter was very confusing. I had to repeat my order to about three different people who could not seem to get my information linked up to one account. The movers who picked up my items were the absolute best part! They were kind and very generous. However, working with Closetbox up until this point has been a bit off-putting. Their customer service could stand to be more polite and consistent. For instance, I wanted to drop off a few items and someone gave me the wrong address, so I had to backtrack to get to the right location. When we got there, it seemed like none of the employees were eager to offer assistance, so we had to ask about three people if we were in the right place before we were actually helped. Additionally, it seems like every little item I add to my storage costs so much extra. I look forward to the convenience of having my items dropped off once I move, but I highly doubt that I will ever use them again. read more
