She was so warm, bubbly, and funny that I instantly felt like I'd made a new friend. She told me to come right over and that she'd set up an appointment for me. When I arrived, I was greeted by a beautiful lady with the brightest smile, it was Imani! She was just as sweet in person as she was on the phone. I told her my budget was $5,000 and that I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted. I mentioned that I loved styles like Galia Lahav, Millie Bobby Brown's dress, and Hailey Bieber's dress. Imani immediately got to work, pulling options that would flatter my body type. Since I have more of a square shape, I told her I wanted a silhouette that would give the illusion of an hourglass, not something too tight. I tried on a total of seven dresses, each one getting closer to a perfect 10 on my scale. The last dress I tried was a 9/10, and that's when the alterations manager stepped in. She showed me how we could customize it to my liking, pinned me up, and suddenly my dress was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I finally understood why brides cry when they say "yes to the dress", the emotion is so real! And here's the best part, even though I had a $5,000 budget, the dress I fell in love with was a clearance dress for $399, and because it had a red sticker, it was half off. I walked out paying only $199 for my dream dress, originally priced at $1,300. What I loved most was that Imani didn't focus on price tags, she focused on what I loved, what I envisioned, and what flattered me. She listened to every detail, made the experience joyful, and celebrated with me when I said yes. If I could give Imani 1,000 stars, I would. When I found LaLady Designs, I could see the difference. I needed a ring that was a certain size, both in ring size and stone. The color was important to me and I wanted a simple setting I have arthritis in the knuckle of the finger I want to wear the ring so that was a factor. Turns out, La Lady Designs has some adjustable rings! And not a cheap kind where you can see the sliding part--it's concealed under the stone. Britt was super patient with me.
