I have been a loyal customer since 2019, purchasing multiple items every-time I visit! Unfortunately, this past visit, there was a sweater in the window display that was my size and well-priced. When I asked the sales associate, who was the only person working during this time, if I could purchase the sweater in the display window, she informed me that their policy restricts them from removing clothes in the display window because "it is too difficult to take the sweater off of the mannequin." She informed me that I should come back at a later date when they swap out the clothing in the display window to purchase the sweater. I informed her that I was from out of town and my return flight was before that date. She told me that they could ship it, which I'm sure I would have to pay the shipping costs on, even though I was already in-person at the store. I am not sure if this is a real policy or not, but if it is a real policy, they should really consider removing this and making the mannequins for accessibly. There's always something to find here! There's a lot of vintage, secondhand clothing here - and nothing is boring. Think bold colors and patterns, quirky designs, and out-there materials. Statement pieces for sure! There are certainly some staples as far as accessories and footwear goes, too. But much of the accessories are quirky and unique: think doll hands for earrings kind of vibe! There's a decent amount of knick-knacks and giftables here as well, that are more local artisan made or new. The store can feel a bit overwhelming at first entrance, so take it by section and putz with an open mind. Prices were on par with higher-end vintage stores, but they do run some sales a few times each year. There is a dressing room with a curtain for trying things on!

I love how everything is color coded and wish more stores would organize like this. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that they were diligently interactive with me after I picked up a $100 blouse- as they should be on a busy Saturday! But I really appreciated the small talk and direction from Randie, who gave me the brief on where to find everything, and the brief on the sister store Nextdoor. This store is a bit out of my way, but now knowing what they carry I definitely see myself returning here when I am feeling like I want to treat myself. As I am someone who prides in ensuring clothes don't go to landfill and trying to reuse or recycle as much as I can (I shop thrift a lot) I was very pleased to see that they take overflow items from designers. My only bummers were when I got home, the nice gentleman at the register unfortunately left one of the security tags on a sweater, leaving me to figure out how to break it off. It happens, but gosh dang! And then the same sweater had a bit of a small but obvious stain on it. And while I know it's already deeply discounted, it wasn't in the clearance section. Well, the women working the day I went in were definitely not living by that philosophy. All I can say is that I witnessed the poorest customer service I've ever seen. They offer internships, business experience, and more for the East African women in this non-profit's youth program. LOCATION: They're near U of M West Bank on the corner, and they have parking in the back behind the building. VARIETY: I will say it's more skewed to smaller sized with not a ton of L and XL offerings, and perhaps a skew to basics and a younger crowd, but definitely still worth a look through! PRICES: Everything is under $12 - in the entire place! You can find many things for under $5 even. A great bargain, and you know your money is going to a great cause.
