Amy seems to really love making each bride to be feel welcomed and valued. My father insisted I try to find a dress there because he was so impressed with how comfortable she made him feel out of his element. Ultimately I decided on a custom gown and can not wait to see the finished product! Each step of the way, I felt as if Amy gave me her undivided attention and worked around my schedule and needs. So found this place via the internet and thought we would give it a try. This place turned out to be just what we were looking & hoping for and is a Great Family Owned business. My alterations on my dress was botched and redone and botched again, but the women were awesome that worked in alterations. I paid a fortune for alterations in the end when they really should have given me a discount for having me drive out there and stay for an hour and then have to leave my dress again because it was messed up and then have to pick up 2 days before my wedding. The manager of the entire place is super unfriendly and very rude to me when the alterations department made us go past closing time (wasn't my fault!) Here is why I wanted to leave a review..I got my veil from there and it was an ivory that matched my dress...well, when I purchased it off the rack, one of the girls working went and grabbed a new one from the back that was in a bag. Idiot me trusted the worker and didn't take it out to make sure it was the right one. Come picture time on my wedding day, literally like 2 hrs before the ceremony, I take it out and put it on and my mom makes a big deal about how it doesn't match my dress. I look and it is bright white! Totally clashed my dress and for $200, I wanted what I paid for! I had to take pics with it but my awesome mother in law got David's Bridal on the phone and somehow got them to hand deliver an ivory veil right before the ceremony. Tag on it said $189 and mine was $199 so it obviously wasn't same one but whatever at that point. Although they screwed up, I'm so thankful they delivered one because I was upset. I'm sad the pictures had to be taken with the bright white one but that's less important than the ceremony. It all worked out, thankfully. I spent about $2500 there so it's the least they could do for almost ruining my bridal "look" and getting my mom in an uproar.

Ingrid also helped me get my mothers dress and helped her so much so that meant a lot to me! The managers are really nice too I traded my stash out and my veil and they accommodated me to return it so I was really happy about that they did what was best to make me happy. This was the most terrible customer service experience i've ever experienced. I was visiting my…read morefamily in my hometown (I live in Chicago) and wanted to get my dress downstate so I could be with my family when picking it out and so I could benefit from how much more affordable things are in my hometown. Trying on dresses was going great and we had a couple of very solid contenders until i came out wearing a new option and saw exactly what the comments were describing. The owner who had been super nice to me when I came in was now screaming at the other group who had been trying on dresses about how they wasted her time and should have gone to another shop first and "why did it need to be her shop." This immediately made my whole appointment take a turn and I felt like if I didn't buy a dress I was also going to be yelled at. At the end of the day, I didnt feel like anything I tried on was exactly "the one" but I did have a couple that i liked and wanted to think more on. I asked my sales associate if she could keep a record of the ones we liked so if we called to purchase they would know which dress to order for us. She confirmed and let us know we could talk to the owner if we wanted to on our way out. I declined and we all tried to exit as quickly as possible to avoid a lecture for not purchasing. As we exited the business the owner screamed out the door "if you're not going to ask the price of the dress you are not going to purchase" my MOH and I popped back in (this was a mistake) and proceeded to also get a lecture where she demanded to know if i wanted to purchase downstate or where I lived, if I wanted a dress from another appointment I had had that morning more, if i had more appointments that day. Then she demanded I "just be straight with her, she's a person" -- it felt like I was going through a breakup. I've never had to explain to a store owner why I didn't want to purchase their product. She kept harping on us not wanting to know the price until I let her know I wasn't concerned about it because she had promised to stay within my budget and my mom told me she was willing to pay whatever if it was the dress I wanted. My maid of honor call d her out for being abrasive and said "honestly we were considering the dress she liked but this is extremely abrasive and ruining our experience" and then I told her "I actually really liked the dress but now I feel like I'm in trouble." After this she did dramatically switch her attitude. We had one last appointment that day and I had an absolutely amazing experience. What really sucks is the dress I liked the best was the one I tried on at down the aisle but after this experience I would never give her my money - And mostly I just don't want to have to deal with going back to this shop and risk getting in trouble again. I have a lot of friends back in my hometown engaged and looking for dresses and I will be sharing this experience and warning all of them not to visit this shop - wanted to post here as well for anyone considering! We had a really great day dress shopping except for our experience here - there are a lot of great shops in central IL. What a bizarre experience. At least it's a good story my mom, MOH and aunts will laugh about for years to come.

She runs a small store and you get the whole shop to yourself during a bridal appointment. She's very knowledgeable in her field and uses her knowledge to help her customers get the perfect fit for their dress.
