Horrible place! I went in to get an ESCO BAR, and it was a red flag when he said they are $25. I made a comment about how they are only $17 in Austin, and he said "Well you are one the island" acting like we are in the Bahamas or something. I went in with my none tch vape for Cbd oil and asked the lady if they had they same cartridge for the vape I had, she said very rudely, "YOU NEED TO LEAVE!" I looked confused Because I thought Cbd was legal. She didn't even give me an explanation as to why I couldn't bring it. So I put it in my car and went back in. She told me again, "you can not come in!" I am not familiar with the laws involving CBD and she could have at least EXPLAINED why I couldn't bring it in. Cloud 9 is a complete smoke shop with "glassware" galore. It also appears to be open around the clock. We arrived after 11:00, maybe later than that, desperately in need of some incense and found them going strong. Now, I don't ordinarly go in these types of places, but this one had an appealing name and purple psychadelic shop appearance. They were also wonderfully well lit, clean, and had excellent customer service. They stock the typical brand of incense, Aurora I think, 10 or $1.00 and provide baskets of matches with the store logo on them. They had so many scents it was difficult to choose. I felt comfortable in the store which felt touristy more than seedy. I woudl definitely go back. read more

Super rude customer service! My husband was looking for a battery for his vape and had his vape cartridge in his hand, they told him "we don't know what's in it, so we won't sell you anything." It was the exact same brand as the ones that they sell!!! Then when he said he would go put it in the car, they said they wouldn't sell it to him anyway AND wouldn't answer any more questions. I am a loyal customer. I buy at least 100 a month on Puff Vaps and other items. I have been going for as long as I can remember. I even started buying for friends in McAllen. I bought 2 small puffs and one didn't work. I went in around 36 hours later. I had family here and could not get away. I ask to replace it and was told I had to come back that minute that second basically that day. Well, I couldn't I had family in. The girl running the store was extremely rude I stayed in south padre for 3 days each day stopping by cloud 9 the first day the girl opening the store was almost 20 min late and looked hungover/drunk. The second day she yelled at me to put a mask on when I wasn't even in the store yet while she had her mask hanging off her face. First of all its the only smoke shop on the island that I know about. A really cool spot to check out, they have something cool for everyone from posters to glass pipes, cool lighters and knick knacks, incense....you name it! the guys ares very nice and are very informative! My wife and I came to Padre to get married. A big celebration in our family requires cigars. Cloud 9 was recommended to us, and it was 100% worth it. They helped us pick cigars (we're not terribly experienced in that department), then gave us a discount on the cigars, cutter, and lighter because we were getting married. Cloud 9 is a big rip off I was recently at south padre island driving down to the beach and i saw the sign said 50% off everything so of cours i had to stop so i bought an extreme q vaporizer from there for 250 dollars so the regular price should have been 500 and I thought it was a good price at first but then I looked it up and it and the original price is 300 so they ripped me off 100 bucks and I didn't even get the vaporizer that I wanted the volcano vaporizer was there and I asked them how much for that one and they said it was the same price but they couldn't sell it to me because they lost a piece. There were two people working when my husband and I went in, a man and a woman. The man was a bit unsure of what he was doing and the woman seemed like she didn't want to be there. My husband was courteous to the woman and gave a smile just for her to give him a look of disgust and throw our receipt at him. I will not be returning.
