I feel robbed of the 600.00 cause clearly, his teeth were not cleaned,they were still brown when I know they could've been cleaned cause the new vet had them white. I have been going to Northgate for over 10 years but I will not be going back after this. Yes , my dog did have dental desease but after getting a dog's teeth cleaned , they should not be brown , like the way Northgate left them.

This past year I've expressed my concern for her weight loss, loss of appetite, throwing up a couple time a week, and reoccurring uti infections. I notice a lump on her throat a couple months ago and they tested her. They said the test has come back inconclusive. I feel they showed no concern for the lump and even told me at a following appointment that she looks great, her weight loss was good and they thought her lump had shrunk. My intuition told me something was wrong! A huge lump on the throat and major weight loss are alarming signs. Still concerned, I sought out a second opinion from another vet. This vet was immediately concerned with the lump. Within 24 hours this new vet was able to tell me the horrible truth. My dog has thyroid cancer and it's too late to save her. She only has a few months left to live. Our family is crushed and angry. I feel this practice has scammed my family and didn't care about our pet's health. I feel they only care about money. They wasted my time and money and made my dog suffer. My dog is dying and my family is heartbroken. This practice is very unprofessional and negligent. I feel Dixie Vet saw my pet as their "cash cow" because we have taken her in so much. They put my dog's life at risk and cost our family thousands of dollars in unnecessary treatments. The only downside I've encountered is that the wait can be long- even with a scheduled appointment. Their prices are low and they provide excellent care, which makes them very popular. One time I brought my dog in after he had been attacked by another dog. He had extensive injuries. When they saw he was bleeding, they immediately moved me to the front of the line, gave him emergency surgery and kept him overnight, for a mere $500. The emergency vet would have been thousands more. They're not an emergency vet, but they saved my dog's life and continue to take care of my 16 year old. If you can be flexible regarding wait times, they are top notch.
