My first engagement with JWC was in 2005 prior to my second deployment to Iraq while being stationed in Germany. My ex-wife left me the house in the divorce but being in Germany with only weeks before our deployment I was in a bind. I tried to contact a different property management company and received zero support. The second company I tried was JWC. I first contacted them on a Friday as they were opening for the day and just happened to get a hold of Jim Wright. He asked for a power of attorney to get access and to change the locks. The next Monday after receiving the POA and looking at the property he assured me that the house would be rented by the end of the week. By Friday I had a tenant signed to a year lease. Nearly 12 years later JWC had evicted one tenant, over saw an insurance claim due to intentional damage done by another tenant and have now helped me sell the property. They did all this while taking care of my property like it was their own. Not once was I ever stressed with worry that the property was not being cared for. Being a service member and answering the call to duty can be a challenge. Having a company that understands this and is willing to help in every way possible is amazing and I will never forget what they have done for me. Thank you Jim, and thanks to everyone within the JWC Family that took their responsibilities seriously. The sink was also leaking upon move in and they told me to put in a work order. These issues should've been dealt with before I moved in. The floor was also Filthy! I bought a new carpet shampooer and did the carpet and the water was BLACK! When moving out they charged me to clean the carpet even though it was not done when I moved. The only good thing they did was have pest control come out quarterly to spray but I think they have stopped doing that

You can't show favoritism to your own whether it be race, sexual orientation, culture , etc. Im an immaculate cleaner, and for them to take my deposit & charge me for wear and tear damage, items & damage that was alrready present I could'nt believe it. They gave me notice that the owner didnt want to renew after 4yrs;not true they wanted me out.They wanted me out to move someone else in. In the middle of the Christmas holidays I had to find me a place & move. 1 week b4 moved out I found a place. Next I had to get money for deposit & 1month rent. I am disabled and I had to move 80% by myself going up and down stairs with no car. I think I was a good tenant. Have a reason to put someone out. Its time to stand against landlords like this. I didn't receive deposit letter until 4-6 months afterwards. I reach out to Goldmedal in reference to the deposit and charges no response. I will be reaching out to the Governor of Texas, and advocating against landlord unfairly taking deposits, and removing tenants. More laws and regulations need to be in place to protect the tenants. If your on a fixed income or Hud dont rent from them. I had 5 week notice close to impossible to come up with the $s. Agencies assisting the homeless with rent dont send people over there. They're contributing to homelessness & hardship putting folks out for no reason. If I wasn't a fighter Id of been on the streets. Who wants to help you during the Holidays? No luck on my Gofundme.

    I lived a Stone Hill Apartments for about a year now, and this has to be the most caring place I've…read moreever lived. The most important part is their mantience. The apartments are old, so course there's going to be a few problems sometimes. My A/C went out on the fourth July, and Oscar was here in 10 minutes and it was fixed in under 5 minutes. He works fast and he's very friendly. My cat will get under his feet or sit in his way and Oscar will just talks to him nicely and moves around him. I have never waited longer than 24 hours (I never had to wait 24 hours either, I submit them at night and Oscar is here the next morning) for any maintenance request that I've submitted. The management is just as amazing. I mainly know Dani, but all that I've spoken to have been great. They always ask about how my cat is doing and the call him by his name. They are great with any help that you need. They're also very concerned with the safety of their residents. A couple a months ago, there was a man apparently knocking on people's doors. They had the cops in the area at all times during this and sent out emails, texts, and put a paper notice on all the doors. It told us not to answer our doors to a stranger and to immediately call the cops. I've seen on here that people complained about the pipes bursting in the water. The management does send out emails and texts every time the weather gets to the point to break the pipes. They tell you to make sure the water is dripping for all sinks and showers. I did that every time the sent it out and never had a problem with my pipes. The management will also check to see if the A/C maintenance requests were taken care of. The morning after Oscar very quickly fixed my A/C, I got a call for the management office to see if everything was fixed. My neighbors are fantastic. I have a cat that loves to sit at the window and my neighbors (that all have dogs) adore him. Our neighbors that got a new talkive puppy apologized for her dog, because she was very worried how my cat was responding. The best part? We cannot hear the dog and she lives right below us.

Even after maintenance said the system was repaired, our apartment continued to get uncomfortably hot inside. The AC was blowing air, but the indoor temperature kept rising instead of staying at the thermostat setting. We reported the issue multiple times through the resident portal and had maintenance come out more than once, but the problem was not resolved. We ended up having to stay in a hotel because our apartment became too hot to comfortably live in. The lack of communication and urgency was disappointing. As residents paying our rent on time, we expected the issue to be properly diagnosed and fixed instead of having to repeatedly report the same problem. Overall, this experience has been stressful and exhausting. I hope management improves both the quality of maintenance repairs and communication with residents, because no one should have to deal with ongoing AC problems during the Texas summer. Not only that but we moved in AFTER the renovation so tell me why when we got our keys we already had issues with things breaking this is absolutely the worst apartment I've ever rented at, I am in complete disbelief...
