After receiving that advice, my wife was so upset at GE she called the company. They agreed to pay for new parts but wanted a report from the repairman, Carlos. We gave them Carlos's number and received a call from Carlos shortly thereafter wherein he advised us that he would not write a report for GE unless they paid him to do so. After paying $375 for nothing, that did not sit well with me. GE then sent another repairman who quickly diagnosed the problem as broken pump. It took him 10 minutes. The same repairman returned and installed the new pump for $280 including the DW installation. GE paid for the new pump. and the dishwasher works great. I've had this on my TO Do list for six months for a reason and it is not because I like to waste my time writing reviews. First his diagnosis was wrong--he said the motor was shot it was not. Second, he was expensive -- the GE repairman actually repaired and re-installed the DW for a third less. Finally, he would not even write a simple report without more money--that is why i am writing this review. $375 bucks for bad advice and he would not even write a short report.

I decided instead to try an independent local repair shop (Tech Angels) and they had a technician at our house within 24 hours. I received a call from the tech 9am confirming time, he arrived exactly at 2pm as promised. Within 10 minutes he assessed the problem and had replacement parts (rollers) in stock to complete the repair while on site. He asked for permission to use our vacuum and suggested a $60 maintenance service to ensure the clothes dryer performs good as new for years to come. Within an hour the job was complete at a very fair price. We are over-the-moon happy with the service and value we received from Tech Angels and highly recommend them to maintain your home appliances in the Tri-cities.

5 years ago, I bought a Navien combi heater unit from them and in those 5 years, I've had them come…read morein 4 times to service the unit. On 3 of those times, they were extremely inefficient and wasted a great deal of time by doing the following: - calling their manager to get instructions on how the unit worked - bringing an instruction manual and spending several hours reading it ( later we found out that this person was a trainee and was learning on the spot ) - during the lengthy maintenance service, we'd peak in on them and noticed they were just sitting there staring blankly at the unit for over 15 minutes!! Like he was praying to the Navien gods or something!! Basically, we got the impression that they would take an inordinate amount of time servicing the unit in order to charge us an excessive amount for an anual maintanence. Each time they visited us, the service cost was around $500. On one occasion they had to do a special descaling process on the unit and that costed $650. We were really suspicious of why a 5 year old unit would require such costly maintenance ( our prior unit was 30 years old and only required servicing 3 times in that time span ), so we called around to other companies in the area and got a quote from them and none of them were quoting us anywhere near the amount the Good Gooys were. Just be very careful when they send over a "specialist" to take a look at your unit. They may be sending you an intern and even when they do send an experienced repairman, they seem to have a minimum service time that they'll spend looking at your unit regardless of the condition the unit is in. Don't be surprised if they charge you $500 to wipe some oil stains off your unit and quote you for 6 hours of work. EDIT: I just added proof that I did in fact purchase a system from The Good Guys as well as an invoice for one of their visits.

On install day, they told us we couldn't install in one of the rooms because the window was too high to the ceiling and there wouldn't be enough clearance. It was disappointing because we really needed air conditioning in that one room. The install took an entire day. The guys are friendly and professional. I referred a friend and they told my friend I would get a referral bonus but never ended up getting anything so that was disappointing. But I would use these guys again because they sell Mitsubishi air conditioners and do a good job.
