Today I took my eight year old daughter in to get her ears pierced for her birthday. She was pierced by Mon's Garcia. She was excellent, she spoke directly to my daughter and assured her of the process. She even practiced with her on how she should breathe. If there was a 0 star it'd be more realistic. This place is trash. Everyone was SO rude and glared while I was walking in. I just got a cartilage piercing there a week ago and the ball had fell off so I went back to get one. He said he will sell it to me for $2 and I would have to put it in. While he was trying to figure out which size I had he dropped the ball he was selling me and proceeded to sell it to me still without sterilizing it. I don't recommend this place at all. I searched around and went to Most Wanted Tattoo and Piercing off of Blackstone and it was $15 cheaper and if you buy the earring which is $2-$5 there they will change your piercing for you. read more

I recently got my nose pierced here. Mon was super fast and professional. It didn't hurt at all and I absolutely love the way it looks.

Looked into getting a tattoo and a piercing. They didnt have the piercer who would do that piercing I wanted, but they did get me in contact with someone who did. I thought that was great service because it didnt benefit them to send me away. With that level of service I would for sure trust these people to give me a tattoo. I have been here twice to have work done by Lety. I had her first cover up an old tattoo I got in my early 20s (when I was young and stupid). She did such a great job and had so much personality that I came back to her when I wanted my other "young and stupid" tattoo covered. (Read: I don't believe all tattoos gotten in your 20s are stupid, lol but mine were.) Lety had very reasonable prices for her work, and she's very kind and friendly. I came here back in October and received a Christina piercing which I loved that's why I went back to see Mon. When I came in late January/early February this year to see Mon again for a daith and lip piercing it was HORRIBLE! After my daith was pierced my ear felt numb within an hour like I was punched in the ear. My lip was ok, a little numb as well. The next day my right side jaw was numb as well as the left side of my face down to my chin. I contacted Mon and she said for me to go back, but if she had messed up I was scared to go back. I went to another piercer who let me know my daith was pierced too close to the front of my ear and the earring was crooked and bent! As for my lip, the bar was too short not allowing my lip to swell. I decided to take out both. Once the daith piercing was taken out, all the pressure in my face was released and I felt so much better and the numbness went away. I WONT BE GOING BACK AGAIN. Walk in with my son while he was on leave from the marine corps and everyone there was not helpful at all they made us feel not welcome there loses cause we were ready to drop 500 or more on a tattoo and they didn't have time to help sad to say... Seriously, my appointment was scheduled over 3 weeks ago and PAID, they didn't even apologized but instead told me maybe I should go have lunch or something and come back because he had just left for an appointment. This exciting moment turned out to be a total waste of money and my time away from work. How careless and unprofessional of this place and the tattoo artist! Yesterday I received my fourth piercing from Mons, and I have yet to have any complaint.She's very professional, knowledgeable, clean, and beyond nice. She was very busy on NYE and was nice enough to pierce me, even though I came in a little late. Which I couldn't appreciate more because I really wanted to start the new year off with a nice piece of jewelry. Beyond that the staff is so nice and they will greet you and help you out if you have any questions. I would only recommend Mons, because she's amazing at placement and she fully informs you about your piercing along with the after care of it. She has a really nice selection of jewelry as well and I very nicely put together Instagram so you can see her work. She also uses a piercing needle to pierce and NOT A GUN! I do believe she takes walk-ins on most days, but it doesn't hurt to call in and check. However, the nicest thing she does is take her time to make sure she's correctly doing your piercing, so you should respect her time as well, because she does get really busy. They were not very friendly when I went in for a piercing years ago. I don't know if the piercer from back then, but 4 years ago I went to go get my nose pierced and the man who pierced my nose took an hour to get the room ready (helping other customers that walked in 1/2 an hour after me before I made it in the room) and when he finally was ready, he just asked if I had pierced my nose before, I said yes, so he pierced my nose and accepted the money and that was it. No after care instructions no nothing. Not even a bye. I would never go back after that experience. read more

Paid $400 for an outline of 5 roses, Super said we were doing 4 sessions, each $400. The first session was only one hour. I realized we could have done more with my tattoo to shorten the sessions. I called Super the next day and asked to negotiate the price since he said my tattoo consisted of 5 roses and a bunch of black leaves I felt that it was okay to cut out one session so I can safe $400. I told him I'm not able to pay $1,600 that tattoo, he gave me no option and made it clear that even if we cut out one session the price will remain the same then made an insulting comment, made me very uncomfortable to go back to him and expose my body again, very unprofessional! Then I contacted the owner of the shop Rudy and he acted like he cared, as soon as I asked if he could help me because Super had made me feel uncomfortable, he ignored my message. Then I thanked him for taking time and that I understand he has declined to help me, he replied saying he is too busy to be dealing with this. Very bad experience, such ashamed read more

My husband and I went into Clovis Ink last week with the intention of my husband getting a full forearm tattoo. When we walked in there were 4 people sitting behind the counter and only one of them looked up but none of them said Hi or anything at all. We spent about 15 minutes looking through their books and still no one bothered to pay any attention to us. My husband went up to the counter to ask a question and they rudely responded and made it seem that we were an annoyance to them and provided absolutely no help at all. At this point we left. Prior we had gone to Red Wave Tattoo and the price they provided for what he wanted seemed a little too high which caused us to go check out Clovis Ink. Due to the lack of any customer service and the way my husband was treated for asking a simple question, we decided we would rather pay the little extra for a place where the people at least acknowledged us. read more

I love this place! I have gotten all my tattoos done here and some of my piercings: tongue, left side bottom lip, and my left nipple. They are very clean and the artists are very friendly. My only problem is every woman employed to work the register that I have encountered over the years seems to be hired for her looks, not experience, knowledge, or friendliness. I had a lip piercing done for $25 and paid with two 20s and the girl have me attitude because there wasn't enough small bills in the register to give me my change. Also, she have me attitude for not having an appointment even though I never have needed one for a piecing. Do NOT go here!! They are dirty, unprofessional, and plain ghetto. My cousin and I got matching tattoos there and they BOTH ended up infected and gross and looking like a prison tattoo! Please note that I have a total of 12 tattoos and this is not my first rodeo but I have NEVER had a tattoo heal like this with actual CRATERS and deep HOLES in my skin and an infection. "Super" ended up doing mine even though I made an appointment with "Lety". This girl had the audacity to make two appointments and cancel mine halfway though my cousins appointment saying "we're closing you can come back or I can have my homeboy do it" Who does that?! You can't stay late for appointments YOU made?! Meanwhile "super" dug into my skin so hard he left me with bruises. We only came here because my cousin was in from out of state and we wanted to get something matching for the sake of being together at the time and we both ended up with awful work that we may or may not need prescribed antibiotics for. Also....Lety was extremely rude and acted like we were bothering her the whole time. She came out with the "cleaned up" sketches and both were crooked as hell and she acted like we were Insane for asking for her to fix it before they were permanently etched into our skin. A few weeks later I went to a different tattoo shop to get my nose pierced and they informed me that the jewelry that was used for my dermal was cheap and wouldn't last . It's been about a month since then and come to find out my jewel fell out of my dermal! Now I have to go buy and pay another person to put a new top on!
