Free Wood Chips are really free. I requested free wood chips from Clovis Tree Care via their website and a couple of days later, I was contacted by Jared advising he will put me on the list and would let me know when he has the wood chips to deliver. Days after that, I got the text from Jared advising he would deliver the following day and provided a window of time. Sure enough, Jared and the team arrived at my house and delivered a truck load of free wood chips as advised. I am pleased with this free service. Thank you Clovis Tree Care. We had a very pleasant experience with Jared. He gave me an estimate based on a photo I had sent him and then came out (when he said he would) and gave us an in person quote. His quote was fair and quite lower than several others. He seemed honest and trustworthy and we decided to go with him over several others. So glad we did. He was able to cut the tree unexpectedly sooner than originally planned, right in line with our community trash pickup, which we were thrilled about. He and his crew safely and quickly took a 40 foot tree down and cleaned everything up afterward. He came a few days later to take care of the stump, made it flush with the ground (as he promised) and left me with the woodchips as I asked him to. I want to give a shout out to Clovis Tree Service. I don't know how I missed them on Yelp. I was driving by a neighbors who was having their trees removed. I noticed Clovis Tree Service had a license on the side of their truck I always go for licensed contractors and local Clovis business owner especially. They came on over when they finish their job, gave me a really good estimate and had 2 trees taken down within 2 hours. They cleaned up everything nicely ready for the city pick up. I decided to use Clovis Tree Service because the owner is a certified arborist. I called during their busy season, but the owner called me back within an hour and came to our house a few days later to give me an estimate. We had to wait a few weeks but when they came the owner, Jared, was with the two-man crew. He stayed the whole time and actively supervised and directed the work. He also pitched in with the cutting and clean up. They did superb work and cleaned up thoroughly. The price I paid was the price he estimated and included a military discount because I am an officer of Marines (Retired). Nice that he give that discount to retirees. Called up another place to remove a dead tree that had fallen over (this was in Feb.) and was leaning on my fence. They quoted me $1000+. Guy was trying to hustle me thinking I was a new/young homeowner or something. I told that guy I MIGHT get back to him. Called Clovis Tree Service based on Yelp and Angie'slist reviews and Jared called me back right away. $400 plus trimming of another large woody shrub (not quite a tree in my opinion) in my yard. We set a time window for that week. Very reasonable price for the work and was worth it to me to not have to buy a big chainsaw and do it myself. Jared and his staff took that tree down to the stump, chopped up the stump a bit, and trimmed the other tree in a few hours. Very courteous, professional, and responsive to my needing the tree off my fence before the next windy/rainy Feb. day/night. Gave them some homebrews as a bonus (hopefully they liked them) and this yelp review (and Angie'slist review) is the least I can do. Would recommend. Jared showed up with one other employee right on time with a smile. They completed the requested tree removal and root removal in a VERY timely fashion. The work was superb with fantastic service. They went above and beyond to take the entire yard include the areas of the yard that they didn't even touch. I will be hiring them in the future for any tree services I have. Clovis tree service did an outstanding job trimming a huge tree in our front yard and removing a very large tree in the backyard. They are actually returning on 1-25 if it doesn't rain to remove the actual stump.... jared said the stumps are done on a different day. Jared and his crew didn't leave a mess behind, they were fast and the clean up was great! They also took the leaves off of our roof AND our neighbors too! Reached out to Clovis tree service yesterday evening with some photos of two tree stumps/half trees we needed to have removed and stumps ground out due to roots damaging neighbors property. Responded quickly with an estimate, once we agreed he set up an appointment with us for 7:00 am the following morning. He was on time took about one hour and just left, stacked up all the wood from one of the trees nicely along the fence like my husband requested. (Cherry wood for cooking) cleaned up beautifully and was oh so nice!!! He is about the same price as just about all the other estimates I received.
