Lauren is the first massage therapist I've visited since who not only accepts insurance, but who has also been able to pinpoint my problem areas exactly with massage and assisted stretching. She also provides suggestions for exercises and stretches in between appointments that are highly beneficial. I used to attend her yoga classes before my accident, so was thrilled when I found out she now does therapeutic massage. The combination of her education (beyond basic massage therapy), experience in and passion for A&P and the physical therapy field, and years of teaching yoga make her much more "in tune" with the human body than most therapists and able to provide exceptional pain relief. For almost a year, I've received weekly chiropractic care and attended PT several times, plus had weekly massages with other therapists. It helped, but the difference Lauren has made in my recovery after just two sessions is astounding. I HIGHLY recommend her! Plus, she offers a very relaxing environment and has a genuine personality. While the view of the river might motivate you at first, it soon becomes drab and there is not much respite by looking to the other side, which is purely mountain terrain. To get from one park to another (McNary to Hat Rock or vice versa), you have to hike about 8 miles or so, so if you decide to come here despite my discouragement, come in the early morning or late evening and jog it out when it is cooler. Try to bring company, as there was not a single soul and I suspect shady people could do some serious damage if they wanted.

Mary and Wayne were incredibly helpful and accommodating of our family, as this was our maiden voyage! The place is well lit, but not intrusively so. We had a peaceful, pleasant stay here for two days and nights, and are looking forward to returning.
