Review of Lower Valley Fitness Club…read more I want to share my experience with Lower Valley Fitness Club from July 2024 to May 2025. I signed up for personal training and was referred to Ashley Silva, who was training clients at the Sunnyside location. Initially, Ashley told me that I needed to become a gym member in order to use her services, so I signed up and began training with her. I was paying $250 a week for personal training for my husband and myself, plus my gym membership, which was approximately $75 per month. Ashley represented herself as an experienced personal trainer. However, we later discovered that she had only received her personal training certification on 6/5/24 about one month before she began training us. She also led us to believe she stated she had been working at Lower Valley Fitness Club for several years. She provided us nutritional advice on what to eat and also set a strict macros plan that we were to follow which she is not legally licensed to do. You have to have a certification for this. Ashley explained that the owner was taking a portion of her personal training. After training us for almost eight months, she said the owner was raising not only membership prices but also personal training rates. When I spoke directly with the owner, George, he said that personal trainers set their own prices and that the gym does not determine their rates. He also said trainers are expected to pay the gym approx 20% percentage of their earnings, that he was also going to start implementing with his new membership fees but the gym does not control the personal trainers pricing. During my time using the gym, the pool and spa never worked. there was always excuses . Numerous machines were out of service for months at a time. When these issues were brought to Ashley's attention, she said it was because George, the owner, was too cheap to invest in the building. Additionally, I have learned that Lower Valley Fitness allows personal trainers to operate without proper licensing. To be clear, Ashley Silva does not have a business license, does not carry insurance, and is not registered with the Department of Revenue or the city to legally conduct business in Washington State. George maintains that she does not need a license to work in his establishment, which is not accurate under Washington law -- any person providing a paid service must have a business license and pay B&O taxes. Overall, my experience has been very disappointing. I encountered dishonesty, misrepresentation, and unsafe business practices from not only the owner George but also from Ashley Silva herself. I would strongly urge caution if you choose to do business with this gym. I can only speak from my own experience and what I am currently going through, but I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

Broken equipment stays broken .. pool always in under repairs. There was a critical but fair review…read morethat went into detail thats no longer here left by a swim coach regarding the pool that's now gone as well( a swim coach In grandview or granger ? his swim team trained here.. the coach brought up the pool needing repairs and the owner responded by canceling the contract with the swim team) .... Which is a shame .. this place needs a ton of improvement.. but my main issue the broken equipment.
