She also provides suggestions for exercises and stretches in between appointments that are highly beneficial. I used to attend her yoga classes before my accident, so was thrilled when I found out she now does therapeutic massage. The combination of her education (beyond basic massage therapy), experience in and passion for A&P and the physical therapy field, and years of teaching yoga make her much more "in tune" with the human body than most therapists and able to provide exceptional pain relief. For almost a year, I've received weekly chiropractic care and attended PT several times, plus had weekly massages with other therapists. It helped, but the difference Lauren has made in my recovery after just two sessions is astounding. I HIGHLY recommend her! Plus, she offers a very relaxing environment and has a genuine personality. Hat is fenced off so there's no climbing or touching...it's cool to see for a couple minutes...but then it's time to move on. We took the trail down to see the ducks, loads of fowl residents right now, as well some deer hanging around near the bridge at the end of the pond. You'll find a massive amount of parking, and a large grassy area with lots of picnic tables and a volleyball net. Nothing spectacular this time of year I'd say, but it was nice for a quick leg stretch while driving through.

Skip the Lewis and Clark trail at McNary park. It's not much of a workout because there isn't much…read moreof an incline. Worse, there is hardly any shade, so it's pretty much like a trek through the desert. While the view of the river might motivate you at first, it soon becomes drab and there is not much respite by looking to the other side, which is purely mountain terrain. To get from one park to another (McNary to Hat Rock or vice versa), you have to hike about 8 miles or so, so if you decide to come here despite my discouragement, come in the early morning or late evening and jog it out when it is cooler. Try to bring company, as there was not a single soul and I suspect shady people could do some serious damage if they wanted.
