Worst PF I have used. 4 Tvs on same channel. 2 test on the paranormal channel. 2 on weather. No effort to provide customer support. Mopper is incredible he can sometimes mop with one hand and read his phone at the same time, although he has mopped my foot twice. The Kennewick location has obvious maintenance issues The customers are very courteous and clean but several machines are in disrepair or in need of maintenance This can certainly lead to a injury For example The row machine pin is loose and spring action is defective. As I used it with the pin in number 6 , after several reps it kicked out and slid to number 3. This came abruptly and could easily cause injury The fly machine has no foam grips The leg ext has yellow caution tape all over it Several treadmills are out of order As a member who believes in the planet fitness mission, I write this not to complain, but rather for the management to address their issues read more

When I first joined PF I became a black card member for the extra benefits the gym offered. In the beginning they allowed my wife to come in with me and let her take advantage of the tanning beds as I used the massage tables after our working out. I thought that was part of black card membership but found out late last month she couldn't use the tanning anymore. I would like to rate this place a lot better for how clean they staff keep it but things haven't been the same since early 2022. They had a good amount of faithful people (20-30) who workout at 5am but now some have been leaving. PF has four smith machines for people benching and squatting but only 1 working machine. They had two only since Fed 2022, and haven't done anything to repair the others. Two months ago a 3rd machine went down but they won't rope it off like the other two or people try to make it work and tear off the tape on it. Sadly I had to cancel my membership because of the changes. When I joined, PF was a 24 hour gym, not 5am-11pm on weekdays. My wife had free range of anything as long as I was present with her. Their equipment was kept up and when it was down it was down for 2 weeks at most. We're going on 1/2 a year with broken equipment, it's no longer a 24 hour workout facility and no longer do black card members get the same privileges we got when we joined years ago. read more

The employees at the kennewick planet fitness are saying different rules than the others. i tried to come in with my brother who is over 18 and i am 17, i was not allowed to go in without our dad coming in physically to sign the registering paper. which in fact we called two other planet fitnesses and they said that if you have the black card and are over 18 you are ALLOWED to bring a minor in as your guest. his manager came in after her lunch break and she didn't even speak, i would have rather listened to her than him because he was a very rude person to encounter with. i don't necessarily have a problem with planet fitness, but their policy. read more

Not a great place. They OVERCHARGE. We tried to cancel several times and we kept being told oh you have to go to this one, you have to call this person blah blah. We finally "got it." And they assured like 3 times that we had cancelled. We double checked because we were leaving the area, so we definitely didn't want to keep paying for it. But then guess we what we got charged for 2 more months! When we called they said they had no record of our initial cancellations, and they would "process" our refund, which we still haven't gotten over a month later. It sucks so bad. Definitely not worth it. Also, the first time we went there it was closed because someone got stabbed there! The staff is about what you expect from a cheap gym ie young and inattentive. Terrible company, terrible customer service, borderline fraudulent billing process. I signed a contract in February of 2019 at this location and they stopped sending me emails in April of 2019, but continued to bill me until I discovered that they had continued to auto renew my contract after a year. Unacceptable business practices. Customers should always be aware of when a business is renewing a contract and will continue to bill them, and should not cease correspondence when doing so. Furthermore, in order to cancel your membership, you must either write a letter to your specific "home gym" that you signed the contract at or be present at that specific gym, both of which are incredibly difficult when you have moved away. There is no general customer service to call so all phone calls are handled by the front desk people at the respective locations. read more

If you want heavy weights, hardcore workouts, loud blaring music, lots of screaming and grunting, Planet Fitness is not the place for you. Nor does it necessarily want you. It doesn't cater to you. If you want simple cardio workouts with a lot of machines, some weights and strength training that doesn't get too heavy and a neat atmosphere, this is your place. It's cheap and caters to a more beginner's gym and mindset and that is the way it comes off in it's mission and purpose. It's "Judgement Free" zone slogan is hypocritical BS. With a 'lunk alarm' and a desire to have no 'lunks' that is totally judgemenetal and critical. So, that is a bit of hypocrisy. Hey, you might not want muscle bound, hardcore weight lifters and body builders, but if you you're going to want to be a 'judgement free' zone, you're going to need to not 'judge them.' Except for what seems to be a hypocritical farce of an attitude, for the most part, this gym delivers for newbies. It's $10/month with a simple commitment. $15/month if you want to be free from commitment and like $21/month for their plan that includes being able to workout at other Planet Fitnesses and use their massage chairs and what nots. I don't know, I go to the gym for cardio and to walk in place so when I get tired I just have to walk to my car when done. I know, right? I'm fat and lazy, but I'm slowly losing weight. This gym is good, if you're looking for these qualities. With the exception of their 'judgement free' zone, they do deliver on what they promise for the most part. They don't promise a lot though, so for the price, they're an ideal first gym or somewhere to go if you don't want to (or cannot) keep exercise machines in your home. The price is right in that regard. If you want a gym that caters to body building, have lots of classes to choose from, need a pool, there are better more expensive gyms around. But for what it offers and claims to offer, Planet Fitness is great and delivers. read more

I personally enjoy Planet Fitness. The staff is always friendly, the gym is always clean, locker room is always clean, etc. The place always smells nice, unlike other places that smell like a middle school locker room. The equipment is decent quality for what you pay for. Most of the time the cable machines are out of service, but it's fine because they fix them in under a week. The unfortunate part about this gym is how busy it gets around 5PM-7PM. I personally love this gym and the staff. I definitely would recommend to others. read more

This place is so awesome! I was invited by a neighbor who has a membership and she invited me to come as her plus one for free! I got to experience a couple pieces of workout equipment for about a 45 mins before she had to leave. I love the affordability of this place and the the staff was very helpful too. read more

Terrible customer service. From the start this gym did not have the equipment that I needed, but I stuck out the year that I was contracted too, only using it a few times in that year. In December I called to cancel and they informed me that I would either need to come in or send a signed letter. I sent in a letter and was still charged for December, when I called to ask about it they said it probably just hadn't gotten there in time for the December deadline but that I should be good for January. They then charged me for January as well so I went in and they are now claiming to have never received the letter and will not refund the past two months of charges. Do not go to this gym. read more

What's the point of having all their "rules" if they don't enforce them... Trying to do their "30 min express" circuit course, but there's constantly people coming in and doing 3-4 sets of the same machine at a time hogging up the machines. After assurance that I could suspend my membership to accommodate me going to Arizona for the winter then just come in when returning in the Spring to take off suspension, I then signed up for the Black membership 12 mos contract. Very, very disappointed when I came in Sept to suspend my account and Israel (mgr) said I couldn't do that. I would have to cancel membership and pay $62.99. Yet Israel & another employee sat with me & my husband giving the us the sales pitch. We both listened to sales pitch but had concerns on signing a 12 mos contract since we are snowbirds. It was explained not a problem since we can suspend membership for those months gone. My mistake was I trusted his word. Now he denies he said I could suspend. I generally enjoy working out at this location. However, I try to go during my lunchbreak and the fact that people do not adhere to the rules for the "circuit training" is extremely frustrating. I have a limited amount of time I can be there and when there are others bogarting all of the machines through several red/green lights sitting on them texting, it makes completing the circuit difficult and irritating. Wish the staff would actually keep an eye on the area and tell people to follow the process or get out. read more

Tanning beds and TB enhancement booths need new bulbs. Half the bulbs are out. Front desk talks to guest instead of checking u in and u absolutely cant walk in without checking in other wise they'll yell at u till u do lol. Club in general is ok, Buyer Beware!, their "No Commitment " advertisement only applies to their $10 basic membership, buried somewhere in the terms of their $23 Black Card memberships is a 12 month contract with a buy out clause in addition to the double cost. I felt like I was being robbed at gunpoint when I was forced to pay a $58 " Buy Out Fee" to stop using the facility. A real last minute rip off in my opinion. If there was a way to select negative stars I certainly would!! The front desk is ridiculous! The management and staff need training. They are rude and none of them are on the same page as far as their rules! My daughter loves going there because it's close to work where we work, she typically goes with my assistant and they have a great workout on their lunch break. This has been going on since you all opened!! Now all of a sudden we are being told that she can't come in with anyone but a parent!?! That was not what we were told when we signed up. She can in yesterday and today she was denied?!?! She was with a responsible adult that she's been going with for almost a year now!! While your prices might be good the staff and some of the policies are a joke!! How can you refuse to let someone go after they have been going for almost a year and now tell them no you have to come with a parent. This is ridiculous and I will be canceling my membership and joining Lifequest which is close to our house and their policy on minors is much more reasonable!!! Suggestion would be to have a list of adults that your minor is allowed to work out with!!! read more
