I am updating my review because the food quality has gone into the toilet since new management took over. I have eaten here several times in the past and ordered the exact same thing every time. I always order the Philli Cheese Steak Sandwich. This is the first time eating here since the new management took over. It appears that besides turning the hotel into a one star hotel, they have really messed up the food in this restaurants. If you look at my original photo of the sandwich, envision the sandwich with a reduction of the meat of about 40%, hardly any peppers abd onions and the cheese sauce is now like watery cheese soup and there is 50% less than it used to be. With the food and hotel are really bad now and the minimum bets on the penny machines jacked up to 80 cents from 40 cents, this is the last time I will ever go to Batavia Downs for the food, gaming or hotel. read more

Bar/restaurant located on the gaming floor. Named after Bills HOF running back Thurman Thomas .. 34 rush. Lots of sports memorabilia throughout the place, a few game balls. Bar is an oval shape with bright lights. We sat at the bar for lunch, I had a cheeseburger and fries. Very tasty. We just stayed at the hotel this weekend. We ate a quick dinner here when we got here. They give you $10 free play for every $10 spent on food, so it's a great deal. The cocktails were very affordable, too. We were very happy with that meal here. We called to see what time they closed, and they said 11:30. We headed back down to get some late night food, and they were already closed. This was really disappointing, and there is absolutely nothing else to eat there. There's not even any vending machines at the hotel part. And the sign right in front of the restaurant said they were open until midnight. read more

We were here with a group of people and decided to take a break from giving the slots our money and have some lunch. The place was absolutely packed but somehow they kept wait time to a minimum while also being extremely pleasant. Sorry I didn't get our server's name. She was great. Menu prices were reasonable. I ordered the chicken fingers and my husband got the philly cheesesteak sub (recommended to us by the couple at the next table). The chicken fingers actually exceeded my expectations. They were lightly breaded tender pieces of chicken, not dried out hockey pucks you sometimes get when ordering chicken. Fries were nice and crispy without being greasy. As we were leaving I noticed the salad bar, must have missed it on the menu. I might check that out next time we're there. Bonus, we each ordered $12 meals and received $10 in free play. Located in the casino this restaurant is primarily focused on the day crowd. We came in for dinner at 8pm and found out the only offerings we a limited appetizer menu. The tables were dirty and the staff were very unfriendly as they seemed we were inconveniencing them. We were seated and given the limited menu. I asked about the full menu but was told it was not available after a certain hour. Didn't even stay after we found out we couldn't get dinner. read more

Made a quick trip out to check out some stores in Batavia and got hungry for something different than the chains or fast food. While the menu is limited, there appears to be a good mix for any picky pallet. Mainly made up of bar food I chose the Scott B's All in Platter since it sounded like a "garbage plate". I had never had one before and this was a good first experience with the idea. The food came out quickly and was very filling for the price. I definitely will want to return at some point to try some of the other menu items (many of which seemed very inexpensive for what you were ordering). read more

When you gamble and have a little money left, this is a place to go and get some cheap drink specials. Honestly we opted for the 4.50 drink specials. I had the red white and berry. Vodka and sprite. Light and tasty. Almost tasted like cream soda. My hubby had jim beam vanilla. Can't go wrong for these drinks and the price. But we needed appetizers to help get the drinks down. They had apps, burgers and others menu items. All reasonably priced. We ordered loaded nachos and fried mac and cheese. The reason you have to get these nachos is the sweet chili that is topped on it. It is so good. Mac and cheese bites were good and came with a nice sauce. Both apps were $ 5-6 and well worth the price. Our bar bill for 9 drinks and the apps was under $40. There were tons of tvs, live music and people watching. Came back home from Florida to enjoy some western NY goodness (watch the Bills and eat chicken wings). They didn't have any servers and you had to awkwardly wait for the overworked bartenders to take your order. Asked for 30 crunchy wings and were handed a bill for 55 dollars! They wings came back undercooked and we had to get out of our seats and flag down someone to send them back. Pretty sure they just threw the same wings back in the deep fryer and sauced them a second time. Came back tasting mildly burnt and overly salty. Very impressive bar and restaurant food! Small menu which is good because everything should be made to perfection which it was. My coworkers and I had a week and odd food experiences and being our hotel was in the casino 34 Rush saved us for a couple lunches and Late night dinners. Shout out to Kristin our favorite bartender who was fun and who gave great recommendations on the food that we all ordered. I will say the chicken Cesar was very well done, the chicken had a perfect grilled char on it, a little salty for my taste but mixed in with the homemade Cesar dressing and fresh lettuce was a delightful flavor explosion in my mouth. Everything cooked here seemed to have all the little details done as well, ordered the grilled chicken sand-which that was very well done, with the bun toasted in the grill and just looked like it didn't come out of a bar kitchen or that of a good restaurant. Honestly, if I lived in good 'ol Batavia, 34 Rush would be a common dinner spot for me as long as I didn't leave my money in the slots before I got to the bar! read more

We came in during a Sabres game, the crowd wasn't to bad. We found an open table and sat down as it's a seat yourself kind of place. The waitress walked by us multiple times and never addressed us. She delivered the food to the table next to us where she gave us wings we didn't order (we explained and she gave it to the table next to us) and later walked by asking them if everything was ok. I figured after the wing mishap she would have came back to take our order. After about 20 minutes of being ignored we left. Maybe it's our fault for not flagging her down?
