Now I noticed that Tackle World is focused mainly on offshore fishing but they do have fishing equipment for inshore and freshwater too but it's mostly offshore. I explained why I was there and he directed me towards the back of the store. Within 20 seconds someone else approached me and said they could help. The gentleman suggested I get a swing evaluation, the cost of which would be deducted from the sale price of new irons should I decided to purchase a set. I set up an appointment with Erin for later in the day. Later that day Erin set up different clubs for me to hit over the course of about an hour in their simulator. After about 90 golf shots over more than an hour, we agreed that the Taylor Made Qi irons suited my swing the best. She was very thorough, trying difficult shafts and lies before we finalized our choice. I plan on going back to Erin to select a couple of hybrid clubs in the near future. All the people Golf Galaxy in Paramus were extremely helpful, especially compared to PGA Superstore, right across the street on Rte. 17 in Paramus. (I have a separate review of that experience...) This is the 2nd set of irons I've purchased from them. I recommend them highly!

And after just one visit here I'm upset I never tried this sooner. The staff here is really friendly and helpful and will be glad to answer any questions. I was also skeptical of these simulators, I didn't expect it would be very fun or engaging, but it is. I just did the driving range simulator, where you hit off of an automated tee. Great setup and it lets you concentrate on hitting the ball. I'm as much of a beginner as they come, but even after just one session, I have noticeably improved and can't wait to come back. I was here with my 7 year old and we both had a great time. Great for families as well. Great vibe here. Highly recommended. Price is good as well.
