Really disappointed with the service received here- warning to the ladies and the lefties out there trying to upgrade their equipment! The selection for the combo of being a woman and left handed was really tough. The employees kept rushing around and generally not giving me insight I wanted or the service other customers were getting. The demo bay was extremely chaotic and the staff was not helpful. I get it they were busy but still could have taken some time to follow up after just shoving random clubs at me to try then acting surprised when I had comments about it or requested something else. An instructor teaching a child lesson in the bay next to mine assumed I didnt know how to play golf and kept coming over to watch my swing. I interacted with a few different employees because they kept briefly helping me and running off. Maybe it would be better on a different day but Im not sure if I'll be it back. Went in to PGA Superstore looking to purchase a new set of irons. I was totally ignored by the front desk people but worked my way to the back of the store where the clubs were sold. Eventually I got the attention of someone, told them I had an 18 year old set of Ping irons, said I was interested in new clubs, and asked about the single length irons. He set me up with the Cobra single length 7 iron, which was the only brand they carried in single length clubs. He pointed towards the simulator and said try them out. I hit some shots and wanted to try something else, but he was gone, helping out another customer. I tried to catch his eye, but he looked away and continued his conversation with the customer. I stood around at the desk for about another 4-5 minutes, then got the feeling I wasn't going to be helped any more, so I left. The next day I went to Golf Galaxy across Rte 17. Immediately, upon entering the store a young man approached me and asked if he could help. He said he would get somebody to help me after I explained why I was there. Within 20 seconds someone approached me, introduced themselves, made me feel welcomed, and ushered me to the back of the store. What a difference! Don't bother with PGA Superstore! read more

Dominick, a relatively new employee, helped me pick out just the right golf rangefinder. I had been looking at two Bushnell's and after getting help from Dominick, I made the right decision. Same price as Amazon so there was no reason to buy from them. He was outstanding and I will recommend everyone to go to PGA TOUR Superstore Paramus and ask for Dominick. read more

Service is great! Selection is vast! Location is meh but who cares about that!?! I visit from Commiefornia to see my parents and each time I go here I buy clubs because tax is cheaper than Commiefornia. Last time I bought 2 Titleist SM9s, a pair of Adidas BOA shoes and other goodies. This visit I bought a Scotty Cameron Super Select Newport 2 Putter and NY Yankees towel. So as you can see, I find what I need and will drop the cash for quality. The place is huge and prices competitive and the service top notch. Highly recommended for the serious golfer! read more

Not very happy with Gary/club regripping unprofessional behavior to customers. I verified over 300 popular grips were available and brought clubs in. He told me it was only grips that weren't available and told me to order myself. Another employee checked asap and said we have them. After 2 employees started to look Gary told them they were there (2 feet from work station) He also told my son he lost his putter being regripped but another employee found it in 1 minute? Gary needs to take course on professional customer service, he's making the business look bad. read more

Terrible experience today dealing with the lady with short hair. Unfortunately, I had to deal with her twice and both times she's shaking her had, scoffing and saying things under her breath like I'm the Jerk. She either acts like this to everyone or it could the I'm a minority because she has much lighter skin than I do. The manager Steve is disrespectful and rude. There was a long line and one person checking customers out. I approached him and asked if he could check out my items. He told me no and to wait in line. I waited on line for about 20 minutes. I turned around and Steve was checking out another customer. He sent me away and then did exactly what I wanted him to do for someone else. They weren't picking anything up from the shop, they were buying items just like me. Steve - you're a terrible manager. read more

Robbie is a fitting savant! He worked with my son and I on different occasions. He is consistently accommodating, respectful and oh so knowledgeable. I have sent a number of clients his way and he never disappoints. He responded, months after our session, when I needed advice. Bought an $1,100 set of ping irons late May, told it would ship to me in 2-3weeks for use through the summer. I emailed 3 weeks later and told it will not be shipped out till early August. If sales were up front in the beginning no big deal, but there's no way an extra 8-10 week back log was not a know issue when I purchased it. Went in today and bought some shorts, shoes and polos, expecting to use points from the purchase of my clubs (as above). I joined the pga club the day I bought the clubs, and was told those points will be added to my account when I came in for my next purchase. That was today, only to be told the first purchase after joining the club doesn't count toward discount points, only the second purchase and beyond. Not a good look being a new customer to the PGA who just spent ~$1,300 in 2 visits to continually not be told any of this. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have taken lessons with James Stewart and recommend him. James quickly identified a few issues with my swing and setup. My golf game has improved thanks to James and I plan on taking more lessons. There is a woman about 5'10-5'11 with brown hair who just looks mean in the Bluffton SC store. She treats the whole staff and customers like trash. She says whatever on her mind and is just plain rude. She is an older lady who knows nothing about golf. I have been to several golf schools, so I know a thing or two. Not only does she not know anything about golf or instruction, she doesn't know anything about repair. I went back to return a grip that broke while I was repairing my club. I've done this before, so I know how to switch grips. She first told me I broke the grip and could not replace it. Understood, I don't mind that. But the men behind the counter offered to at least strip the club for me, which was nice. Then, in front of everyone in the store, she proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was doing, the golf school didn't teach me anything, and was just outrageously rude. People were staring at me and her because of her attitude. She is disgusting and needs to be fired. I looked at another store employee who was listening to her, and both our eyes were wide open in shock. I told him I was sorry that he had to work with her. He told me later she was always like this towards customers and employees. How horrible. Hopefully someone sees this and deals with her, because if she did this to me, she is doing it to others. I have been a student of Jimmy Stewart for five years. He is an excellent stroke diagnostician. As important, he is a historian of the game, and he makes each lesson a pleasant tutorial in stroke correction, golf history and golf strategy. I played semi-pro baseball until I was 49, so Jimmy always draws parallels between the baseball swing and the golf stroke. I look forward to each session and I consider him a friend as well as instructor. All the personnel, from Dave on down, are friendly. I am only playing for a dozen years and I do like to improve my game and remain competitive, even at age 73. The store has become something of a haven for me, in no small amount due to Jimmy, Dave and the crew. read more

As Toni V. below mentioned, this place needs a new manager who can monitor the floor. Employees were busy talking among themselves instead of greeting or helping. If someone wants to approach they just pick up the phone and start dialing or yelling at you to write down your name somewhere and wait until someone calls you if that ever happens...Fitting Bay personnel were noisy with one on one chit-chat and doesn't even bother with helping people. It looks quite busy via CCTV screen but it's not. Oh~ one interesting fact. No one can handle the Putter Fitting except John. John is an experienced and patient gentleman who can correct the lie angle and make adjustments. He even asked those very own PGA Superstore - Paramus guys who pretend to be busy replacing the grips while talking loudly. Everybody said 'No' 'No' 'I Can't' 'Why don't you grab an intern to do the putter lie-angle adjustment LOL' etc. There are other PGA Superstores so go somewhere else. It's your hard-earned money. **** It seems from March 1st of 2021, the PGA Tour Superstore - Paramus is under a new manager. At least read and respond to the yelp.com reviews. Full transparency, i know and have made friends with many of the employees at pgatss. Some great ppl that work there. Its my go to for all things golf and for my golf students needs. When they had Adam as svc manager, altho imo the svc desk was understaffed at times, you always felt acknowledged and treated really well and received good service...Can no longer say that is the case. While there are still some really good guys working in that dept, its not run nearly as good as it was with Adam as manager, especially when only a couple of staff are working the desk. Long delays to just be acknowledged and then helped. I dont know the new svc manager, but the feeling he gives isnt a welcoming or friendly one. Just my observation and view. read more

I came to the store recommended by a great golfer I met on the course, he looked at my clubs and said these are not for you, your clubs are old and the equipment they have today you will see the difference. He told me to go to the PGA store on Rt 17 south just past PC Richard's , I was told to see Robbie just browsing looking at all the clubs, It was him had a nice conversation, one thing led to another, I was so curious about how these clubs were that he said well, would you like to hit some balls? I said absolutely the rest is history I bought drivers full set bag you name it I bought it, including clothes Robbie is the best fitter, and the nicest person in the world in fact, the entire department store happens to be very helpful and they all have a pleasant personality. I recommend the store to anybody and if you need clubs by all means see Robbie, hands down he's the best read more

I went to get a hybrid club re shafted and also to re shaft a driver. The original guy at the desk had no idea about anything! Finally he got an employee that actually does the labor. He was super knowledgeable and nice. But they didn't have the shaft I wanted even though online they said they did have it. The employee stated that the store is a mess and that he even has to bring in his own tools because they don't have the right equipment. I finally accepted what he offered me and back to the original employee that couldn't figure out what I was buying and wanted to overcharge me! A week later on the date that the job was supposed to be done, I arrived and to my surprise they didn't have it ready. I spoke with the employee that actually did the job and told him I was traveling so he told me to come back in an hour. The job was well done but management has to step in and organize things! read more

So I was planning to go to another golf equipment store in the area and when I saw the PGA Tour Superstore just up the road on my GPS, there was no doubt where I was going. I met a very nice employee, Beverly, in the clothing and shoe section. She assisted me with trying to find a long sleeve pink golf shirt and we discussed how there aren't any men's pink golf shoes on the market. I came out of the store with a nice pair of Addias pants, a belt, a wide brim white hat, Nike golf gloves, and a pair of ECCO golf shoes. I even used one of their many hitting bays to test out a Titleist MB 2 Iron on their launch monitor. I am looking forward to going back for a free fitting session for a new driver. This PGA Tour Superstore was even better than the one I've been to in Myrtle Beach and will turn into my new favorite golf store. read more

I had thought about taking a few lessons here and then getting fitted for clubs, but I'll pass. I just walked out to sit in the car and left my husband to deal with the sour attitudes and poor professionals. However, he too came out equally upset. The adage the customer is always right is not a guiding principle of Stephanie, a floor manager at the PGA Superstore in Paramus. I telephoned a complaint to headquarters about her behavior on the evening of Tuesday 17-May. I promised her to write about this so here it is. I paid nearly $430 that day for a Bushnell range finder. The cashier radioed for help to find one; he ended up rummaging around for 10 min or so behind the counter. The young man eventually found the item, rang up the purchase and give me the box. In the parking lot, something told me to look inside before putting in my trunk of my car. The box with empty! No range finder. What if I had driven off and didn't realize this for 24 or 48 hours? This was potentially a disastrous error. I was not happy. Returned to the cash register and asked, what the hell? Stephanie, some sort of manager, was at the counter: "He's a new employee... if you just wait we'll accommodate you? ...." "What if I had driven off and not returned... Stephanie: "He's a new employee and if you just wait a moment." "May I get the words out of my mouth? " Stephanie: "You came in here a little aggressive ... I wan't listen to you." In the end, Stephanie asked another worker to retrieve a range finder from the storage room at the rear of the store. He returned after 5 min or so, and asked if it needed to be rung up again. "Just give it to him. Just give it to him," Stephanie said, left arm extended palm down, flicking her wrist dismissively in my direction At no point, no one apologized. It didn't matter at that point, I suppose, because money had already changed hands. read more

Just wanted to say been continuously going to paramus pga store for what reason read below. First finally got my srixon 3 wood to add to my bag and just started hitting it. (Thank you michael). The general manager Rudy is the best. From personality to customer service he's the man. Always making me feel wanted whether I buy or not . Bought a pair of new balance cleats. The lace bracket broke and Rudy replaced it immediately. I even bought a second pair of water proof new balance white ones. Today I send my oldest friend to pga paramus to get fitted for a driver. I called and spoke to Rudy (General manager) and he set.my friend right up with michael(excellent golf club fitter). Thank you guys for taking care of me and my friends. Went to my local store which I frequent to regrip my clubs. 13 clubs. Picked out the grips and handed to the service guy. He said it'll be 3 weeks??? Huh? Ridiculous. The dude was pretty rude as well. He said he was so so busy. Ridiculous. He had like maybe 50 clubs to do. Yea its a lot but 21 days??? Ridiculous. Go to your local shop. Forget these big box stores. Horrible customer service from one of the associates servicing the bay. Was sitting on a chair looking at his cell phone when my friend and I approached to test an iron and driver. His initial response was the simulators were all shut down (it was close to closing time, about 40 minutes before closing). We said we just want to hit the clubs a few time before making the purchase. He then rudely replied he did not feel like getting up, his ankle was swollen and told us to see if someone in a different bay would assist. The other associate did help us with the clubs and let us hit some balls. He was also helping a different family in another bay as well which had a simulator on. After the family left, a different family asked to test a a few clubs and was able to. When that family left after a few minutes, we moved there to hit as well when suddenly the rude associate miraculously felt like working and walked over three bays on his swollen ankle to without warning shut off the simulator while my friend was mid-swing. I told him, you could of at least gave us a warning, he told us that we said we did not need the simulator. It wasn't even his bay and he did not need to go out of his way to rudely turn off someone else's simulator. We did not make the purchases and just left. Will never go back and my friend who is just starting, first time visiting PGATSS, will also never go back. Horrible service, not first time an associate at the Paramus location was rude but today's experience was purely horrendous. read more

Man I really love this store. I'm slowly shopping for a full bag setup right now. No one comes over and pushes product on me to make me feel 'Either buy something or leave' I'm being super super meticulous on buying my next putter this time. So going to practice a lot of putters before I pull the trigger. Love how I've stopped by here twice already to practice with their putters for 2 hours each. 2 whole hours each time and no one ever once gave me a dirty look or said 'Hey you have to leave' Its great so far. (see my review of golf galaxy down the road who asked me to leave 5 minutes in for using a putting guide) The store overall is kid friendly where I see kids practicing in the bays or the putting area. I ended up buying the players club card and did the math. If indoor golf places charge $40-60 an hour to use their simulators. Fort Lee 21 golf range is 40 an hour. Golf cave in NJ is about 60 an hour. Their players card is $149 for the year which gives you unlimited 30 minutes. We aren't golfers BUT our younger son is interested in playing. So we headed to this store just to get a feel for his interest and to see what we could learn about kids golf. What a great experience we had here! Everyone was happy to educate us about golf and eager for our son to start playing. Sandra did an amazing job walking him through his first experience putting, driving and chipping. She used a computer simulator, coached him how to stand, hold his hands and to follow through. Our jaws dropped, he's never been so focused. She is an amazing teacher. We ended up buying a putter to get him started at home practicing and we are going to sign him up for lessons at the store. In addition to us newbies there were plenty of customers who appear to know far more than we do. This store is truly an experience not a retail store. You can use their putting green and driving range area. Lots of equipment and clothing. There are lots of ways here to experience golf and lots of people to talk to about golf. read more

Took a lesson with Tom McGuinness and he was able to fix some minor problems I had with my posture and follow-through. I saw a significant difference in ball flight within five minutes of my lesson. A pack of 3 lessons is also one of the best deals you can find. Highly recommend! read more
