First, they charge $30 per person just to get inside, and then hit you with a mandatory drink purchase that isn't even alcohol it's literally water, soda, or Red Bull. No real bar options. Once inside, the vibe is nothing like what you'd expect. They don't play any R&B or hip-hop only country music all night. There were no dancers on stage unless you specifically request it, and even then, they only go up if you tip immediately. If you don't tip right away, they simply don't put anyone on stage. Overall, it felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and like a straight money grab. Between the fees, the lack of entertainment, the strange rules, and the zero vibe, it's honestly the worst establishment I've been to. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I don't want to slander the business but for someone who has gone to this place for years. You can…read moretell the customer service has went down hill. Please understand this is not an attack on the business but a precautionary tale. So first off just know they don't do split payments of cash and card. It all has to be done in one method of payment. I found that out when I went there recently and the guy didn't say he couldn't do it but you can tell he didn't want to do it. I give him money and my card to make the purchase and some of the money was sitting in the dark space where the window was. Long story short we got into a screaming match and said I wasn't welcomed. So before I left and he tried to call me a liar I reached my hand in the slot under the window and showed him he missed a dollar which was a good coin and he still wouldn't provide me the service. So I attempted to reach out to make a complaint about his service because I never antagonized anything before. So fast forwarding he and I had a conversation and he told me I was banned from the location because I screamed at him and I didn't have the money. When I caught him in his lie he then tried to say there was complaints about me and I asked him when and with who. He said oh my bad it's someone like you which sound racist which sadly is a very common thing dealing with the location itself. So I had my last hurrah there but I don't intend on going back. So if you do go just be mindful of their short tempers, be mindful of their unprofessionalism, and prepared for the lies that happen. This tend to seem to happen more with their black cliental more than anything. It's a cheap thrill and keep in mind of the environmental dangers.

My girlfriend and I were supposed to get three songs each. When the first song started, I texted my friend, who was waiting outside. As soon as the dance ended, I texted him again. When we came back outside, I asked him how long we had been gone, and he told me that from the first text to the second, only about two and a half songs had passed. They cut off the third song before it even finished, even though we had paid for three songs each. That was very disappointing because we were having a good time, and whoever was keeping track of the time decided to end it early. I didn't feel like arguing over not receiving the full three songs since, to me, it's easier to simply not come back. As for the person keeping time, you messed up. As someone who enjoys going to clubs, you just lost the possibility of a returning customer over something that should have been handled correctly. Amber, I hope you end up performing at a place that appreciates you more. You were the best part of our visit, and this place doesn't deserve you as a performer.

I made a reservation, was asked to confirmed reservation 3x, noted it was celebrating a birthday and gave no preference on seating. I arrived on time, but one of my group was parking. There were a few people milling around and I was greeted with "checking in?" No hello, no welcome, no mention of celebrating and told to let them know when entire party arrived. (This is becoming more common to be seated along with a $25 per person fee if I canceled less than 24hrs. I know restaurants are struggling but come on!) I watched as 'walk-ins' were given priority tables and when our party was complete, she was squeezing in a 3rd chair to a small cafe table right by the pass through door. No asking our preference. When she returned to seat us, I said "you're not putting us at that small table are you?" Her response - "yes...unless you want to sit inside." How was that not a conversation first? A professional would have said "I apologize, where would you prefer to sit? I see you made a reservation, are celebrating an event and we had some unexpected guests for seating options." Perhaps she was having a bad day, or was still reeling from a prior customer interaction but she was NOT up to the standards I equate with Manuela. Go for the food but don't think by making a reservation you get any special acknowledgement.

Everyone enjoyed their food. On this day I had the shrimp gumbo with greens and Mac n cheese on the side. It was all very good and huge portions. I wish they gave 2 cornbread with it b/c it was so tasty! I've had the chicken n waffles before and I think that's my absolute fave. We will definitely be back here because we just love it! The pork chop was immaculate. I have yet to taste a pork chop that was so perfectly cooked from the moistness and the flavor. For dessert, the cobbler was ordered and goodness gracious it was absolutely amazing. If you come here, have all the courses, do not miss any course what so ever.

First time going! LASTNIGHT !! Had a blast! My wife and I had been talking about going for awhile now and finally decided to CUM! Multiple times! So everything was better than expected and super legit! Staff and environment were 100% professional! We felt extremely comfortable asking for anything we needed and all the guest were very nice and respectful! We started off by having a drink we brought (as it is BYOB) and playing some pool! Met two couples while do so and vibes were great! After we grabbed another drink and sat at a table which we could see the dance floors and get a look at all the sexy people around us and just kind of soaked in the environment bringing us more excitement! We then headed to the super nice smoke room to hit our vape and finish our drink! It was well ventilated and plenty of seating! While doing so we noticed a couple heading down to the play rooms and decided to follow behind to see some action! Once in the down stairs play area we played side by side with another couple who was playing after asking for permission of course! And it was great except for when the male was a bit too handzee for our liking but he immediately stopped and apologized when told it was to much, SO that didn't ruin the night because everything else was great and we weren't offended just not into that, mainly just being watched and giving a good show is what we like! So we will make sure to be very clear of that next time we go! After that we went upstairs (after cleaning up) and grabbed another drink and sat down to chat with a really nice and attractive couple in the smoke room who we vibed with so much! After all the laughs and good vibes we even got to play right next to them on the giant beds downstairs in the middle of the room while atleast 6 people were watching while playing with each other! Some asked to join and didn't have any issue with being told no! So wifey was doggie style for everyone to see while I released my load inside of her! It was amazing and such a rush of excitement!! We then wrapped up the night and can't wait to return! Also met the owner John who was not rude or anything! He seemed like a super cool guy everyone liked! What can I say? I have been to Joi a few times with my spouse. I really want to give this place a chance, but it is getting very difficult to keep justifying spending the money. The club itself is nice on the inside. The outside looks sketch AF but if you go with an open mind the outside isn't a big deal. What is, is the music and it being entirely too loud! How do they expect people to talk if you have to yell at the top of your lungs? Then when you do try and talk, you have to try and navigate through the various cliques. My spouse and I don't want to grab at people just to get their attention to talk. We make eye contact, smile, etc. trying to get people's attention, but they just look at us and keep walking. We are not super models, but we are not fugly by any stretch of the imagination. Then, I thought this was a swingers club? Seems to be used more like a dance club where people can dress sexy and be able to fuck in one of the rooms. We have fucked each time and instead of people trying to join in, it's more of a bunch of people fully clothed walking around watching and not playing. I know to each their own, but in the few times we have been there I have yet to see any swapping. We have been to Vixen once and so far, Vixen by far out vibes Joi. It's a totally different vibe in Joi. I really think Joi could be awesome. Turn down the music so people can talk, play some better stuff (without needing constant requests), maybe do something to break up the cliques and encourage people to talk. If things don't change the next time we go, that will be the last time we go. I can't justify spending the money anymore if it doesn't. We visited this club in their new location and had a good time. We've been to a lot of clubs and this one had seemingly more young people than usual. It also had lots of different types of peoples and ethnicities which we love - an LA melting pot. The girls were dressed mostly in short skirts and the gents wore collared shirts and jackets. The dress code seemed to be somewhat strictly enforced which elevated the vibe. The lady got loosened up on the dancefloor. Music was loud but that created a nightclub vibe. There was more conversation at the bar. Then we hit the playrooms, which was the highlight for us. There was one really outgoing Asian lady who gave us all a naughty striptease (OK it was intended for her boyfriend but we peeped in). We didn't end up playing with anyone, but the ambiance got us going for our own semi-public party. Maybe next time we'll be more social and sorry to the couple we turned away. 5 stars seems about right. There were probably over 200 people there on Saturday, but it was actually not too crowded. We had a whole mattress to ourselves :-) Finally, we actually got the screen name of a couple we met and we kept in touch, so we'll be coming back over the holidays. read more

We'd give this place NO STARS if possible. The owner of the club was oddly passionate about my wife trying a drink he'd prepared under the counter. He'd clearly slipped roofies into my wife's drink as she completely passed out after less than a half a plastic cup of whatever she was given and it was her only drink (we'd not brought any drinks). He then had the nerve to stand and try to talk with us, brushing her arm with his hand in the belief that he is some sort of Adonis and that his drugs would somehow put him in a favourable position with my wife. Absolute creep of the highest order. There's a no touch policy like any safe lifestyle establishment, this clearly doesn't apply to owner who seems to give creepy hugs and touches to anyone he leaches over. We moved on to try and enjoy ourselves before my wife passed out and then we got the hell out of there once we realised what was going on and once she was able to walk. Best club in Los Angeles hands down! It's so exciting! The only real swingers club in LA. We've tried them all. The house parties, meet and greets, and the ones out in the boondocks. Nothing compares. It's a beautiful setup. Start with the parking situation. You pull in the gated lot and valet takes your car. No walking down the street or waiting in line. It feels very safe. Inside the disco area is vibrant with the lights and sounds to get you in the mood. The bartenders were hot and friendly. The lounge was comfortable and the playrooms were luxurious with their velvet bed covers. Perfect! Right in the heart of Los Angeles. Not some illegal house party in the suburbs that bothers neighbors or a "takeover where you can get kicked out for nudity. This is the real deal. A private club with benefits. Club Joi did it right! The bar line can be long depending on the number of people showing up. Plan ahead to BYOB for your comfort level. VIP tables if you're interested. Unfortunately, most of the people with a positive review works in this place. .......This is not a very welcoming place for minorities. The owner, JOHN is a confirmed racist, and rude as f*ck. Expensive valet parking, pricey cover charge, and NO large condoms, so bring your own condoms if you have a big d*ck. They have this particular dance contest every Saturday, but u can never win unless u are white no matter how sexy you are or how well u perform. The workers are nice and polite, multiple play area. BEST CLUB EVER! First time was on New Years and it was a packed house! Best decision I made to go with a few sexy lady friends of mind. Very good looking crowd everyone was dressed lovely. The Best Swinger Club in L.A Area Interesting place. Crowd is from 30-60, all races, sexual orientations, but mainly straight. You can smoke on the patio where everyone is super friendly My boyfriend and i went for the first time this past Friday. If we can give this place zero stars we would. Didnt decide to go to Club FA but we should've! The DJ tonight sucked! Couldn't mix 2 songs together. Know we know why FA has way more many people, they care how well their DJs are. Club Joi better get better DJs to compete with other lifestyle clubs. read more
