I recently had a great experience working with owner Lucas at Club Pilates La Quinta. He runs a super friendly club and goes the extra mile to help his potential customers. I have United Healthcare and one of the Member Wellness Benefits they promote is access to Club Pilates. So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try a different studio. What he got right: - within 10 minutes he redeemed my Wellness Benefit - he was fully transparent about this benefit and offered suggestions on how to ensure I could book classes in spite of high demand - without feeling like he was trying to upsell me, he suggested other membership options - his staff was welcoming and super friendly Because of this I would like to give this studio a try. read more

Lucas is absolutely fantastic--super knowledgeable, upbeat, and encouraging. He gave clear instructions, offered modifications when needed, and created a flow that felt both challenging and rejuvenating. I used to love coming to Club Pilates La Quinta -- the instructors are amazing and truly make the classes enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk and management has completely changed how I feel about this studio. A few months ago, I had a health condition and called to freeze my account. I was told everything was "all good" and that I didn't need to bring in a doctor's note. I trusted that, since I'd always had great experiences here. Months later, I realized I was still being charged. When I called, they said there was a note that my freeze request was "on hold" pending a doctor's note -- which no one had ever told me I needed to submit. They finally froze the account, but only after I'd paid for three extra months I couldn't use. I asked for a refund and was told a manager would call me. That call never came. After several follow-ups, I finally spoke to the manager, who claimed there was no record of my freeze request or my health condition at all -- even though I had called multiple times. Apparently, the staff member who originally helped me didn't log things correctly and now I'm the one paying for their mistake. At this point, they refuse to refund me for two of the months I had already paid for and my credits expured, saying it's been over 90 days -- even though I've been calling and trying to resolve this since it happened. Lesson learned: Always get everything in writing. Don't assume a verbal request over the phone will be honored or even recorded. It's incredibly frustrating to feel gaslighted and dismissed after being a loyal customer who genuinely loved this studio. I truly hope management takes accountability and improves their communication -- because the teachers deserve better than to lose clients over avoidable administrative errors. read more

Socks are required. Joseph Pilates didn't wear socks. Also it's 12 reformers so you don't get a lot of attention.

I joined Club Pilates this season after having semi-private lessons for about 8 years. What a difference! The instructors are all great! I've gotten so much stronger due to the varied activities. The hour flies by! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I can now afford to go 4-5 times a week. My body feels so much better that I crave going. I couldn't afford this much from my private instruction at $80 per hour. Best thing I've done for myself! And my golf is getting better as I'm stronger. read more

Great experience! This was my first time doing Pilates and the instructor did an amazing job trying to make sure me and my friend had a good experience and learned the movements correctly. We booked for lesson 1.5 which was more for experienced people. Lesson 1 was for beginners. Due to the timing and slots available we just decided to try the 1.5 anyways. My friend and I worked out pretty routinely and I think this level was perfect, especially because of the instructor we had guiding us to make sure we have the forms down correctly. If I have time in the future to do Pilates again I would probably stick with 1.5 level. read more

Really glad I joined Club Pilates / Unlimited membership on November 4, 2017 during their Grand Opening. I wanted something that I can immediately go to after work / LQHS. Especially the 4:00 pm and 4:30 classes. The variety of the classes they are implementing are coming along, as they expand their schedule to accommodate everyone that's joined. So....I signed up for my "free class". Checked in and had to buy a $19 pair of socks for a 30 min intro class. I have done many "chain fitness studios" and the first visit is always free AND it is a full on legitimate class. You don't get that here. You get 30 min of a class that is not very well organized and the instruction lacks luster. They only offer packages of 4, 8 or unlimited per month...no rollovers. There are no package prices and only drop ins if you are a full on member. They have an advert for opening weekend that you can get 20% off for life....but when you ask about it, you are told those sold out at the beginning of October....there were only 50 offered. I won't be able to go back unless I sign up...so I don't know h ow would be able to change my first impression and see if the kinks were simply opening jitters or of it is going to stay that way. *I would suggest that when they text you to confirm your class...they let you know that you will not be allowed to workout unless you have grip toe socks. read more

Best 50 minutes you can do for yourself! Sign up for unlimited classes and go everyday!!! They have 50 min classes from 6:30 am, almost every hour till 6:30 pm, almost everyday! You can always find one, but you have to sign into one, you can't just drop in. I'm loving it!!! You will too! This is what I've been waiting to see open at our east end of the valley. The classes are average (if you can get into a class) compared to levels in Los Angeles or OC. Beginner level 1 is truly a beginner level. You only need to take that class once maybe twice before taking level 1.5. The 1.5 level is really more of an advanced beginner not really intermediate. Book accordingly if you can even get into a class. It is near impossible to book a class. ALWAYS full with long wait list. Before you pay for a class or a series check the availability. read more

If I could give this place a 0, I would. My sister tried to come take a class and they said they couldn't instruct her unless she had someone else that was fluent in English to be with her since she's not fluent herself. We decided to take the course together since that's the only way they'd let her take the class. We arrived at the location and they rejected us because she was not fluent due to her not being able to listen to the audio and we tried to explain to them that she understands and just has trouble speaking English and we told them that she has taken pilates before and she knows the concept. It's just rude how this is place only accepts people who speak English knowing theirs a lot of people that speak different languages. Pilates is more of a visual thing it should be for anyone regardless of what language you speak or don't speak, it's like saying you can't get your nails done because you don't understand your nail tech. read more

Every instructor here is great and makes sure you get a good workout! I enjoy the "Reformer Flow" classes which are a little bit slower paced but help me focus on form. "Cardio Sculpt" is a high energy class and you're pretty much guaranteed to be sweating in the first 10-15 minutes. Every instructor has their own style so I know when I sign up for Nicole's class I'll get something different than from Brooke's class, for example (PS: they're all great). I have an unlimited membership and have been going to class 3-5 times a week on average for 2 months now, and am still being introduced to new exercises. This helps keep me engaged and interested in my workouts. The only difficulty I have here is that it can be hard to get into some classes due to limited space. I don't mind though! I just try to plan ahead and can usually get in by placing myself on a waitlist if a class I want is full. They learn your name and remember injuries you have, so they cater workouts to your ability (and give you options if you need more or less of a challenge). Overall, I love coming here and checking out for an hour and getting a good workout in! read more

I joined Pilates La Quinta about a year ago. I go six days per week. Since I joined I have lost 27 pounds. I went from a size 14 to a size 10, from my extra large blouse to a medium size. I am amazed at my physical transformation. I used to have lower back problems, but not anymore. I love Pilates and this studio and their staff, Breanna at the front desk always a smile on her face and especially my Pilates instructors Lucas, Vivian, Brook, Nicole, Barbara, Robyn, Julie and Erin. This is the first review I have felt compelled to write. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Not only did they charge my credit card 4 times after promising and insisting that it had only been charged once, I didn't even break a sweat. Such a horrible workout. The woman who taught the class had to look at her notebook the entire time and had zero idea what she was doing. She kept asking everyone questions totally unrelated to the class. Not to mention she used various positions which were unsafe and could have resulted in a major injury. This place is totally fraudulent and it is unfortunate considering Club Pilates has a great brand, and this franchise is going to harm their reputation. read more

Best decision I ever made was to join Club Pilates LQ first of the year. I went 6 or 7 times a week and now that I've moved any reason I have to be in town, I schedule around making sure I can catch a class or two(yep twice a day if I can!) I can't pick a favorite instructor- they're all great, with an eye for form and always ready with options and alternatives when a given exercise doesn't work for someone due to physical constraints. I have found nothing that eases the pain of my MS as well as a session here. Cannot say enough good, and I have nothing but gratitude for this space. read more

I can't say enough good things about Club Pilates La Quinta. The instructors are all amazing and are constantly teaching new things. I try to go 4 or 5 times a week and have pretty much eliminated persistent neck and back issues I have had for years. Vivian and Lucas care deeply about all their members and provide a clean, safe, fun environment for a great pilates practice. Rosie and Robyn have challenging and upbeat classes too. When I initially signed up for an intro class, I was not sure what to expect. Not being very coordinated, I was not sure if this was the type of class that I would enjoy...Fast forward 6 months, I go to at least five classes a week. I love Pilates. I am 79 and this was recommended to me by an 81-year-old friend. Due to my two knee replacements and other physical limitations I was impressed with how Lucas worked with me to help modify the movements so that I could get the full benefit. After nine sessions, I find myself very comfortable in that kind, pleasant environment, with professional trainers and Assistance. Going twice a week has really helped make a difference in my body! Great studio. Everyone has a positive "can-do" attitude. Lots of encouragement and good flow to classes. Yes, it's a popular studio and nearly every class is full BUT once one understands their booking practices, it certainly isn't impossible to get into classes. Book in advance as much as possible. I have been in this club since it opened six months ago. It is awesome! I have been to three wonderful instructors, two of which are the owners. Lucas,Vivian, and Robyn are all wonderful. Every class is varied so workouts are fun never seem routine. I have been in other Pilates clubs that had fairly low attendance. This one is very popular but it is easy to get into the classes with just a little bit of planning ahead. They also have a waiting list if classes are booked. I highly recommend this club. read more

I read the review about the socks. Give me a break...they do give you ample warning that you'll need no slip socks. It's not their fault if you wait until the last minute to buy them there. I bought mine at Big 5 for much cheaper although theirs are much cuter. Enough of that - I've been struggling with sciatica for the longest time and decided to give Club Pilates a try before going to physical therapy. It's been 3 weeks and I've already noticed a change for the better. I'm 60 years old and I had a bad experience with high impact workouts in the past. By no means is working out new to me - I've always been pretty fit. But after doing some research, I thought I'd give CP a try and I'm so glad I did! I love everything about this type of work out - very easy on my joints. My favorite class, so far is the CP Center and Balance. Lucas is my favorite trainer - I'm about to try Vivian and I'm sure she's gonna be BA - I can hardly wait!!! read more
