I never feel singled out and I am included in every class exactly as I am. I started my journey by taking private lessons with Foetini (highly recommend). After my very first group class, she hugged me and told me how proud she was of me. Sarah, the owner, has personally emailed me after class to celebrate my progress on tough movements. Marissa knows to adjust the foot bar and put the foot strap on for me without having to ask. There's sticky pads to put on the reformer so you don't slip and we also used very squishy balls. I wasn't exhausted or overly sweaty, but felt like I got a good workout in. The class is 50 minutes of intense slow moving exercises on sweatlana (pilates reformer) that gives a whole body workout (core, upper body, & lower body). There are 17 machines that are spaced out through the studio and any belongings you bring should be put into a locker or the middle pit of your machine. There are a lot of new coaches for this location and some who have been coaching for a while. They have starter classes for those that would like a more in depth explanation of what you'll be doing, but any class you take can be modified or challenged depending on how your body feels that day. The coach may do a demonstration before class and then talks you through each exercise. There are occasionally hands on adjustments and challenges to give you a workout. Wipes are handed out at the end of every class to clean up before the next class comes in.

He used to be a gymnast I believe, and he is very good at shaping every workout for personal needs. He could have a class with a bodybuilder, professional dancer, someone with scoliosis, and a pregnant lady, and he can adapt the same exercise for each persons personal physical needs. He pushes you, while not making anything unsafe. There are also advanced classes, which he does not allow people to take who are not physically ready. It is his studio, as well as he ass on the line if someone got hurt, and if he thinks you are not ready for the advanced classes, he will say it. That is a very good quality, coming from a collegiate athlete. Both the pilates and TRX classes are good for male and female. The only reason I don't put 5 stars is the difficulty getting into the studio. From Washington st, turn up Holden st.
