This was probably my favorite studio only because it had consistently great teachers and staff. It always felt like home coming here. I really enjoyed my morning workout before starting work it gave me a great start of the day. I also would take another class or 2 after work, after my morning class. It was such a great experience I had here. I had so much energy and felt that while working out with the same group most of the time it definitely felt like family. THE REAL SCAM is that you pay for classes, and then months in advance, all the classes are on a waiting list unless you want to take a class at 6 AM, so they have your money, and the entire calendar is booked ahead. Today is APRIL 24th. Look at the image below, it is MAY 3rd, not a single class available for the whole month. You have to get on a waiting list, and every day for the next month, every class has a waiting list. So you have my money, and there are no classes. read more

I took their intro class this past Friday and it was great! We were a group of 3 ladies, and were introduced to the most basic and popular moves in reformer pilates. They did have a deal going on that ended that past Friday, but maybe they have other packages that one would be interested in? One of my favorite moves was using the handles to put our feet in and moving it around. I don't remember the proper name for this but it felt great to stretch out my inner thigh and legs overall. This was my first time at Club Pilates so of course naturally I signed up for the introduction to pilates class. I wanted to like the class but the instructor made me felt like I was being rushed. She was like since this is free class I'll give you guys the intro of pilates and felt so hurried. Didn't feel relaxing or enjoyable. I don't think club Pilates is for me and I've talk to other friends who agrees with me and others who enjoy club Pilates. I've had a great experience at this studio! I've attended several Pilates studios over the years, and this one has great teachers, plenty of classes, and Irma and everyone at the front desk have all been great. I also appreciate that this was one of the few studios that allowed me to practice in group classes throughout my entire pregnancy (some studios had policies against it). I practiced right up to the very end of my pregnancy and am so grateful they provided a place to keep my body strong and that they understood that pregnant bodies are not weak bodies! I am really disappointed with this club pilates location. First off, their strict late policy is so beyond humiliating and honestly more distracting than just allowing someone to join in late. The customers here pay a pretty hefty price for what they offer. $259 for unlimited, $210 i believe for 8 classes a month, and $189 i believe for 4 classes a month. I think it's ridiculous that the instructor is taking her focus away from the class to go and lock the door to the studio 4 minutes after the class starts to avoid people from coming inside. Seriously for the price and all the little fees, you should allow them to join in late. Thankfully I have never had to endure the embarrassment of wondering why the door was locked but im sure those women felt a certain way and I just found this "rule" unnecessary and ridiculous for what everyone pays for. It is beyond annoying when for 5-10 minutes there is someone trying to get inside wondering what is going on. Secondly, this studio has wayyyy too many people enrolled. It takes 2-3 weeks of pre-booking to get the classes at the times you want. This was so frustrating every month as I personally have a changing schedule. I would schedule and try to cancel when I needed to but i could never reschedule as there were never any classes available. When I would forget to cancel, they were very quick to charge the fees, which I always paid $10-15. I found this ridiculous as well as I was already paying the $259. Due to the limited classes, I decided to cancel my membership and look for a different studio. I emailed the studio on April 1st, they responded and let me know my last day of charge would be 4/19 and I could access the studio until 5/19. This weekend I noticed the charged me on 5/19 ?? I called and asked. They got back to me the following day. No apology. I responded back and their response made my eyes roll. Ridiculous. I paid all the fees and memberships on time every time, and then I get charged again for no reason??? There are many girls working at the front desk so I don't understand how this could have happened. Now I have to worry about how I will pay my other bills. Beyond disappointed and frustrated with this studio. I would stay away from this studio. read more

I love this place!! I was a bit alone in my fitness journey when I joined, but now I look forward to coming here every week and doing Pilates with the girlies and instructors. The instructors are trusted and bring a lot of variety and fun challenges to each class. I am also someone who is more on the introverted side, and the culture here is very welcoming, but not overwhelmingly social. It's pricey but honestly standard for reformer Pilates. Also, I checked out a couple of studios before joining this one, and I think the quality and modernity of this one compared to the others is much better and a much better value here. Extremely shady practices as far as booking classes. I have a 4 class per month membership, but since I work, I can only make it to classes that are after work or on the weekends. I am only able to book my classes one month ahead of time, but often times there is a waitlist, which may or may not move. Long story short, I've paid almost $260 to attend 4 classes. The classes don't roll over, so its actually cheaper to do the $40 drop in classes. There is a 3 month minimum commitment or they'll charge you $100 early termination fee. Absolutely ridiculous. It's a real shame because the classes themselves are actually wonderful, its just the business model that is awful. read more

I really enjoyed going to classes here for the past few years. But the cancellation process is really horrible. They were really responsive previously through email and phone. But the moment I sent my cancellation form, they never came back to me. I sent emails and called them, but no response. I decided to visit the studio and one of the instructors helped me to check what's going on. While she was going through email inbox, I saw that they intentionally not read my email and read everything else. I'm 20 classes into my membership, and I've been absolutely loving this place! Pilates is one of the things that I'm very consistent in. I've noticed that I gained a lot of strength and flexibility since I first started, as well as some weight loss. It's amazing how much I've improved! If you're someone who wants to workout but doesn't want their head pounding like crazy after the gym, then Club Pilates is for you. I love these instructors!!! Each class is very good and very intense (modifications to decrease or increase as needed). Sore in places I didn't know had muscles and so good the class time flies by. Very clean and well organized - k tried several instructors and all were very good- clearly love their jobs and want us to do well and enjoy our time together. Very peaceful and meditation like classes as well as interval classes to burn more calories. I thought just Pilates would be too singular for me, a HIIT lover, but they are very dynamic and great for increasing strength as well as flexibility. Highly recommend. read more

I absolutely love, love, love this place. Irma the manager is great at reaching out and answering all questions. Very accommodating when life shows up. The two instructors I went to the most are Oliver's and Ariel. Both of them are very patient when you have injuries. They are very personable and give great feedback. This happened right before Covid happened! I absolutely loved pilates and the instructors but they changed owners without anyone knowing and had other issues as well. Lisa was amazing and was very helpful and personal that disappeared. That's when I really started to notice issues. The only reason they get at least two stares is for the amazing instructors. They never had anyone at the desk. As for trying to get help with billing info good luck. When it came to decide that we wanted to end Club Pilates that was a nightmare. Heads up there is a contract that they didn't talk about that was a little deceiving. Why did I end it was for multiple reasons. One being that it was extremely expensive. Two it was often hard to get into classes. Three I wasn't seeing any results. Even though I was going there 4 or more times a week. It was relaxing and enjoyable but if you have a lot of money to burn then do it. Oh the parking is terrible as well! read more

Four stars for Ruth and Olivera, but only gave 2 due to this location's policy. Ruth and Olivera are good instructors who do spot correct your form and such and their classes do leave me standing taller with better blood flow. However, this entire establishment is a money sucking vampire. They charge you if you are late (for Olivera's class, she locks the door after warm up, which is around 8min from start of class which will also wipe out your booked session from the app so you can't check in and avoid the late/no show penalty fee). If I remember correctly, the penalty fee is between $15.00-$30.00 (am writing this review before the penalty hit for me) so either half or a full single session (non membership price) class price!!! Keep in mind this is ON TOP of non refundable class fee you already paid to book the session. Furthermore, if you get a membership and plan a vacation, you gotta let them know a MONTH in advance and they will charge you $15.00 to freeze your account. They're extremely money hungry. I have never heard of either getting charged a penalty fee nor a fee just to freeze your account from a fitness establishment before. I guess you can make sense of it by saying they need to pay rent and their instructors and pay off the equipment (there's such thing in accounting called "depreciation", look it up. It doesn't justify all these penalty whammies and their classes are not cheap even on membership). Off topic - They open at 6am. Not 7am as shown on Yelp. read more

Strongly suggest you to be careful to read the payment agreement if you sign. Last year during pandemic, they did not refund any money when the lesson suddenly stopped due to stay home order. Calling them several times they finally pick up and said that they cannot do discontinue only to freeze the account. On April, I called and called, texted them to discontinue since I did not receive any lesson. They said that they did not have any record in the system the and store manager is changed to new one, and they said that I have to pay till June to discontinue even though I did not receive any lesson and did not intend to attend any of their lessons on June. The membership is a trap. Their manager said that I have no chance according to what I signed up, it is better for me to take the lesson on rest of May . I lost totally $598 to this store without any service because of their messy management. read more

I was excited to hear that a Club Pilates was coming to my hood in the start of the year. Following them on social media I went the first night for a trail class and signed up. I've been going weekly the last few months will continue. Pros: *Staff is awesome and very friendly *Rates are competitive for 1x a week or even all you want to go. *Equipment is too notch and all brand new *Parking is never a problem and area is safe and well lite. *Can change in bathroom if needed. Well supplied and cubbies up front for shoes, etc. *They sell clothing, rollers, toesox and more *Great in communication via email and Instagram. Meh: *Scheduling can be tricky and usually 2 weeks out for a PM class (that fits for me). I book 3 weeks out booking that class as I leave my in week class. Cons: None. read more

I highly recommend Club pilates-this location especially. The team has been patient and helpful to me every step of the way. Each instructor I've worked with provided me with substitutions since I'm pregnant and really worked with me to ensure I did the moves/stretch correctly. I've gone to classes 4-5 times a week so I've had a chance to experience multiple admin and Pilates instructors. They provide maternity mats that go on top of the reformers and allow you to enjoy the class in comfort. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and support your club provides. I have been taking Pilates classes at Club Pilates North San Jose for over one year now, and today in class I was on the Reformer thinking that I just cannot believe that I am actually "good" at this now. When I first started I was afraid I wouldn't be able to handle it or keep up, being 77. I was so wrong! I am impressed with Club Pilates and the variety of classes, and variance of class content. Thanks so much to Dillon the manager who is so ready to help with class information, and special thanks to instructors Olivera, Roberta and Janna who always gave me a thorough workout! We are moving away where there are no Club Pilates locations, or I would continue forever. So thanks, Club Pilates! I first tried the intro class with Grace back in November '18 which I loved. It prompted me to sign up for a membership. So far, I've taken classes with Grace and Danielle and they're both amazing and helpful instructors. I always leave feeling like I had a great workout. The Instructor Aeriol A was very rude and snappy. I took a restore 1 class and it is open to beginners. When mentioning what props we needed, me and another girl placed the prop wrong on the floor and she made an irrelevant passive comment and said "wow you guys are obviously beginners" and sighed and rolled her eyes. She would get upset if we did a pose wrong and got upset that someone's phone went off.The energy in the room just felt negative. I have been going to club pilates for almost a year and half now. I love the fact that it's located at a good place that is accessible to be both Milpitas and north sanjose residents. With reformers pilates studios are a little harder to find. Ppl who work there are very friendly and always try to help you with your questions. The place is small, with just a reception, and 12-15 reformers and springboards and wunda chairs. All the instructors are good. But my favorites are Derrick and Danielle. Their classes make you feel good in the end. Derrick is very attentive about every single person in the class that if the poster is not right, he helps you and also encourages you if you do a good job. The reformers are cleaned and the whole place is maintained well. There is enough of parking as this place is in a shopping complex. One star less because, I really wish they have more deals and discounts. read more

I had the worst experience at this club pilates, this is my third time coming in because my account was frozen since last year and they did not credit me back even though it has been charging me. Their manager Irma Dunn told me to stand on the side even though I am the first to ask help and others came in she helped them instead. When it was my turn after waiting i asked for help and she yelled at me to get out and she will cancel my account without any refund at all. Horrible customer service and attitude. I have chronic back pain that's been getting better so my doctor suggested yoga and Pilates to keep rehabbing. Signed up for 8 sessions a month which is $200/month; quite a hefty price tag for 8 classes only! The studio was nice and clean but the classes were just fine overall; can't say I felt any better. It's one instructor with up to 10 or so students. The instructors aren't able to keep an eye on everyone's form so I saw a lot of poor form and one lady completely fell off her reformer and hurt herself. I'm flexible and used to train ballet and jazz dance so I didn't need as much guidance. I like Johnny's class the most. I did not like the instructor on Sunday mornings - she would just grab your foot and aggressively try to reposition you without notice. At least Johnny asked first and is gentle. I didn't find much benefit. Perhaps you have to go more than 2x a week to see benefits. I had the worst experience I've ever encountered trying to cancel. I got a text from them and they didn't even get my name right asking if I wanted to try other classes, I replied on 12/1/19 that actually I want to cancel my membership and after that, never heard from them. I then called and emailed on 12/27 to follow up and someone (new girl) finally called me back and said I had to come in. I come in within 10 min to cancel and then in 12/29 I got charged $200! She kept saying how she's new and she was calling other studios to help figure it out but she never did and apparently I'm stuck with a $200 charge. I asked for a manager to contact me and she replied she'd have someone contact me ASAP and no one ever did. I followed up again on 1/4 and she just reiterated the charge is set and if I don't use my January credits I lose them. I asked her what happened to her saying a manager would call me and she never responded back. So that's the end of that. This is the worst customer service I've had canceling a membership; it's caused frustration, stress abs anxiety having to follow up for over a month; basically the opposite feeling you're supposed to have when you do Pilates. You'll see more unsatisfactory reviews on google. Do not be naive like me and sign up for 8 sessions a month unless you are fully ok to pay $600 and go through hell to cancel. Oh and careful parking here - a lady got her car window smashed in while she was in class; her car was right next to mine parked in front of the studio at 9:30-10:30am in broad daylight. Came in today for a Group Intro and it turned into a 1:1 session with Shui Ivy Chan! Lisa called me earlier today around 3:30 to confirm my appointment and I'm really glad I came in for today's session. Lisa was very informative and friendly she asked me if I ever tried Pilates which I've never in my life and it was wonderful. You become very skeptical in looking at the equipment but it's a different story within putting in a workout with the right posture. Miss Shui also informed me that as a student we are constantly sitting down so our posture becomes poor and it isn't good in the long run. After the workout I felt really sore. It really does make a HUGE difference. Please try out and attend the intro classes. I am bringing my sister along tomorrow since she couldn't come today and have her feel what Pilates is all about. I admittedly was intimidated of taking a pilates class because of all the equipment. For Club Pilates' mid-year anniversary this weekend, the staff offered free demo classes. I really appreciated how Club Pilates did this, because it allowed for new, interested clients like myself to ease into trying equipment never used before. The demo class was 30 minutes long, but we got the opportunity to do several exercises on the reformer, with the pilates ring, and with the arm spring bands. Britney was the instructor during the demo, and I really liked her energy. She was very helpful orienting us with our reformers, and I loved that she would sing along to the songs lol. The demo was just enough to want to try a full class! Club Pilates also offers a cardio class and Barre class, which I'm looking forward to attending soon. read more
