HORRIBLE service, their mystic spray tan machine blotched my skin after one of the elder ladies promised me a birthday spray.... they are completely rude and deserve no service whatsoever.. They double charged me more than once..... I was willing to work it out and pay.. thus another membership, but they do not care for their customers and slightly clean the beds in which I see marks and streaks every session I unfortunately had to deal With... very unprofessional since the beginning. She has made it a point to get to know me and which beds I like. She knows my vehicle when I pull up and has my extra towel ready for me. I stopped by Yelp and accidentally saw the responses to this review. They are lies. I spoke with one person associated with this business and only one person. Nobody "remembers speaking with me", because it did not happen. What did happen is that I drove back to my office that afternoon, called my credit card company, and opened an investigation to cancel the charge, and that is what they did. $14bucks, which is nothing to me, but I was not going to allow these incompetent grifters to have it. I spoke with one, and only one person affiliated with this business. I spoke with the young lady who attempted to operate the tanning bed. I have no doubt that she was in tears as I left. I was not rude or angry, but I did describe to her my experience and she was devastated by her own incompetence. That's not on me, that's on her. I'll see you soon. read more

Before coming here I had never tanned in my life. At 51 years old I never imagined I would find the occasion to start. My wife and I moved here from Nebraska in December and I was confronted by a new issue. My bald head didnt tan. I tried everything and it stayed either white or lobster red. Did a six-month package, used it because the prices were affordable, it was close to work, and I was just trying to get a quick tan for my wedding. I would have NEVER signed a contract if I knew how terrible the customer service was. The first few months weren't so bad, the staff they had at the time were pretty nice and seemed to know what they were doing, but the last time I was in, was a complete nightmare. The new staff is very unprofessional. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON. There are others that are cleaner, nicer, and friendlier in the Mesa area. I highly suggest going elsewhere. I have been getting my eyelashes done here for many months now and I absolutely LOVE them! Christie is amazing and with many years of experience! A few years ago I went to a eyelash extension salon in Scottsdale and had a terrible experience, the tech ruined my REAL eyelashes and I was so scared to ever try again. A friend referred me to Christie and I just went for it. Christie explained my prior experience was due to bad technique and how it should have never happened. Since I started going to her, right before a fill I can see my real lashes are still in perfect condition! She does an amazing job and very easy to schedule with!!! I've been going to Club Tanning for a couple of years for lash extensions, waxing and the occasional tan. Christie is the best in town for lashes. I have been going to this tanning club for over 10 years enduring at least 4 changes in management. I have been a loyal and faithful member. As of last Thurs. my membership was apparently cancelled out of no where. I only knew this because charges were on my bank card & I called to inquire. The owner Kristy advised me that they had cancelled my membership because of my weight. The bed limitations for the particular set of beds apparently are 250 lbs even though she did not inquire about my weight or have any discussion prior to this with regard to any issues. Nothing is posted regarding any limitations in over 10 years. I was completely shocked to hear this after using these beds for well over 10 years and I asked why I wasn't notified in any manner or offered additional bed options or the stand up beds at their facility. The only response that was given was that she was busy with her babies and didn't have time and her and her husband had just decided this recently on the spur of the moment. I am appalled that any business in this day and age would discriminate against someone in ANY kind of capacity especially when there were clearly other options available that were never offered. I will NEVER patronize any establishment that discriminates on ANY basis. I am completely disgusted with these discriminatory business practices and intend to file complaints. .....and as a follow-up to the response..... 1) .....there was NO COMMUNICATION OF ANY CHANGE IN POLICY at any time prior to my conversation with you, the owner, yesterday! No phone call, nothing in writing, no conversation at all! You left a note on my account per Jessica at the Tempe location that my account was cancelled on 1/18 & to contact you. Your sad explanation in your response is an outright lie. 2).....you NEVER offered any alternatives or offered any other level beds when you stated my membership was cancelled because of my weight. I specifically asked you why I was just cancelled out of the blue and was not offered any other options. On top of your discriminatory business practices you are now lying and denying the facts!!! In addition as further proof, I have a follow-up text message that I sent to you, the owner right after our phone conversation yesterday (1/22) regarding the interaction both dated and time stamped......I also have a bank statement for a membership fee deducted on 1/12 and a credit for the same amount on 1/21 which is why I called to inquire about the transactions on my bank statement in the first place. Okay, time to update my ratings. I've gone back to tanning after taking a 4 year break and despite the negative reviews, I decided to give my old salon a chance. I've gone 4 times now and had "issues" every time. (If you can call them issues or irritation). The first time, the young girl had no idea how to help me purchase a package. Called "her mom" and quoted me prices, but when I used my calculator, it didn't add up. She gave me another price and it came closer but was off a few dollars. I went ahead and paid for 6 months ahead of time, but still had to sign an agreement to auto-withdraw..?!? Huh? Whatever. Then the second time they cut my time because they were closing in 20 minuets. Umm, don't you schedule for that?? If I walk in at 7:55 shouldn't you want to provide excellent service?? Nope, they apparently don't schedule for walk-ins past 7:30 even though they are open until 8. They want to leave at 8! Management should schedule them to work appropriately. They should adjust these girls schedule and provide better service. 3rd time, I had to wait for over 10 minutes to get help. One was doing a spray tan then another girl appeared coming out from tanning. Really?? You get paid for tanning but can't let me tan what I pay for?! Now today, I can't tan until 7:30 at night because of their 24 hour policy. I've seen that policy at other stores and you sign that you understand and tan at your own risk. Not here, I have to wait until 7:30, so on the weekends, I won't be able to tan because they close at 4. What's wrong with their customer service. I am feeling like my business is not appreciated or this business has some learning to do. Must be why they lock you into a contract with no refunds... learned my lesson. Don't expect much when you come in, it's all about them and not good customer service. The girls are all nice so I blame my issues on management or the owners, either way, it's annoying. read more

I am beyond excited about this place. The fact that its just around the corner from where I live is awesome enough. But I was hooked as soon as I walked in. They have a nice little sitting area with a Keurig and a mini fridge. They keep it stocked with free bottles of water and chilled washcloths soaked in minty water. The staff was very friendly and the prices weren't bad at all. The beds were clean and they provided stickers, body sprays, baby wipes, and a radio in the room. This is a sweet little spot in a strip mall. They have decent beds, a standup sans acrylics, a leg tanner, and a Mystic system. I've gone at odd times and they have always given me unlimited time to get ready, so you don't have to rush through sliming on your lotion and missing half of yourself. Full-length mirrors in all the rooms. The girl at the counter has always been so sweet and helpful, never bitchy or snooty, and the prices are great esp. if you're maintaining. They carry many brands of lotions and have tons of affordable samples and also aromatherapy candles! Give them a try if you are looking for a new salon. read more

I returned to club tanning after about a year and met the new owner. Based on my couple of visits I can tell this is an excellent change for this business. You can tell the new owner loves her business, values her customer experience and will maintain her equipment. I learned she replaced the bulbs in all her beds, including the red light bed which I love, and made decorative changes to make her business a better experience for her customers. My favorite thing at club tanning is the infrared sauna. Can't recommend this enough! If you don't know what it is look it up. I am all about health and even though i don't go for the tanning beds, i take advantage of the services that appeal to me. My next service will be the spray tan. I look forward to seeing how this treatment goes. I don't review many places but thought this was one worth bragging about.
