To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

Where do I even start we are so grateful to have found The Place For Children with Autism. Our son…read morewas going to ABA therapy at another place it was a revolving door he went through about 7 therapist in under a year and we were not seeing much improvement. After coming to the place for children with autism for only two months he is about 80% potty trained and much more responsive when I speak to him. Our son loves everyone at the center and they are so good with him. They send us notifications and pictures of him throughout the day to keep us updated on what he's working on and we love it. We have been going to NSPT for 2 years now for our 5 year old nonverbal son for Speech & OT. Preauthorizations weren't obtained for 1 month worth of services. We were never made aware of this situation and when we were billed for 1,600 for private pay sessions the woman I spoke to repeatedly cut me off when trying to ask questions, on more than one occasion she told me it was "My responsibility" to know that services were not being covered. I spent HOURS on the phone with insurance, and when being told by BCBS multiple times that claims were never submitted on their end I circled back with the billing dept of NSPT and gave them reference #'s, as well as a call back number to work alongside the woman Ive been working with at BCBS to get this issue resolved - I could not of made it easier. The staff called ONCE, emailed me and told me there was no answer, then proceeded to tell me that our card will be getting charged the FULL AMOUNT this upcoming Monday for those sessions.I am appalled, and absolutely disgusted with how they have handled this matter.....this is personal because no one talks about how much being a special needs family we silently suffer being catapulted into this life of turmoil navigating such difficult obstacles with our children let alone the HARDSHIPS we endure financially getting them the services they rightfully deserve. The treatment we received from Rachel, and Monica has been so impactful for our son and I will miss that most for him......They have been wonderful. However this company needs to make a huge shift in how their billing department is ran, and I hope they know they have not heard the last of me.

I recommend their services to anyone looking for their specific type of support. My insurance covers our services, and I pay the regular copay I would for any doctor's visit. Finally, we have found the admin. team to be very understanding and helpful as over our time with them we have switched insurance providers and needed help identifying additional services, etc.
