I was a member of the Sporting Club which turned into the Cherry Creek Athletic Club ( CCAC) since Apr.1979. I had been the only black female swimmer there for 47 years; well liked ! We were like a family and it was our home away from home! From the moment that Lifetime bought the club in 2019, it was obvious that we seniors Were No longer Welcomed there! They were Catering to a different demographic ; the young, the hip and the heavily tatooed! The manager there walked around the club, her nose in the air....daring any of us ' old people' to ask her a question or make a suggestion! We the seniors, the lifeblood of the previous club had become insignificant! At least three of the older members were suspended for some slight behaviour like talking too loud in the pool! Some of our friends gave up and quit, some died but I was one of the hold outs!!!! I retired 20 years ago and every year I would take a leave from CCAC to spend the winter in the Carrib. ( No Problem). I took such a leave from winter of '24 and to my distress and disbelief, when I returned from my sanctioned leave last June 1st, I was told in no uncertain terms that my membership had been cancelled!!! They said I had to start over As a New member and had to pay an add.$125. The Ass. Manager kindly tried to fix it to No Avail!! I relented and brought in a check for the extra $125. and the front desk clerk, Aaron refused to take it saying rudely....' We don't take checks!' I started crying and I said to him.....' Why am I being treated like this after 47 years?' and I proceeded to walk past him to go to the pool. He tried to block me and in a loud voice said....' I can Stop You from coming in here today!!!!!' I have Never in my life been So Humiliated because there were people milling around in the lobby! Its all on video! I reported him, after I cried for an hour in the pool. He is Still there! I quit the club this year;I cant, in good conscience go back there! I miss my friends there but I have never experienced Racism in my 78 years and not about to condone it!

Jason and Icelandic Fitness literally saved my life after I was stricken by a horrible and very…read moreaggressive bout of pneumonia. Long story short, the everyday run of the mill flu, turned into a secondary pneumonia and horrible lung infection for me. My right lung was over 80% infected while my left lung was a little over 50 infected. This was NOT walking pneumonia but rather the kind of pneumonia that pretty much kills people when 50% of the lung is infected. once again... I had 80% infection rate. I spent over 5 hours in the ER, was given emergency injection of antibiotics, pregnazone and fist fulls of oral antibiotics. After that, they pretty much told me to pray that everything works and that I'd beat it. As an ex-athlete, longtime skier and mountain biker, this was the craziest medical game plan I had heard of. Fortunately, with what little bit of mental cognition I had left, I decided to look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy for pneumonia relief. Lucky for me, Icelandic Fitness popped up after a Google Search or two. These HBOT treatments along with Jason's meticulous oversight, worked miracles on my health and I survived my ordeal. I don't want to get into all of the science behind the efficacy of (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all I can say is the information is out there and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute lists some unbelievable benefits. Should this therapy be sought to treat pneumonia? 100%, yes! As a matter of fact it just seems crazy that none of the medical staff even mentioned it as a treatment option. That's how great this treatment works. I did FOUR days in a row at about 1.5 hours per session. That might be a bit much for some people, but I'm confident Jason will help identify how many sessions and how long each will work best for you. It really comes down to his expertise and him asking the right questions about what's going on with your body. Tissue repair, accelerated healing or overall recovery, Jason has you really, really covered. Want to increase the odds and beat pneumonia? Make sure you incorporate (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy... under Jason's watchful eye.

You have to pay additional to get one on one Pilates training or group Pilates classes. There's no incentive to have a membership and pay for Pilates. $80+ a month membership plus anywhere from $75-$90 per session to train with a Pilates instructor one on one. Talked to the manager about it and they're just focused on personal training. Found another option to work 1:1 with a Pilates instructor so cancelling gym membership all together. The population of the gym is older and these members could benefit from easier access to Pilates training. It is such a beneficial exercise routine for functional fitness. Other thing: Women's hot tub is often inoperable.

Complaints from members not being able to use hot tub (when it works) because of kids playing in it, pushing the jet buttons, leary of urine contamination. Showers can be messy. Parking spaces devoted to families that sit empty 95% of the time. Seems to be lacking leadership.
