The problem with this location is not It's employees but their customers. Many are self-absorbed individuals with no sense of courtesy and respect. You'll have people speaking on their cell phones, utilizing the speaker so all can hear the conversation they are having instead of politely going outside to take the call. Many individuals sit on machines for 20 minutes or more hogging them to themselves while they go through their TikTok or other mindless social media activities. Glendale Planet fitness is one of the best! It's a huge and had a unique layout, lots of equipment. The morning staff is top tier! I think his name is Ian? He is fantastic he HOLDS SPACE, which is a gift and not everyone can do. He makes everyone feel so welcomed, safe and invited! The gym is clean for it being staffed cleaned. I'm want to mention that I only go to this gym because it's near by and a better price point than lifetime. There is literally no other reason. The colour purple actually stresses me out a bit and I find it rather aggressive. The staff is lazy and lazy is a huge understatement. The men are quite good at acknowledging everyone. Greeting them at the door, saying goodbye as you walk out. The women staff are too busy talking behind the counter to even acknowledge you're presence. I love greetings and goodbyes before and after a workout. It makes the gym feel welcoming and brings an upscale quality. Ill-mannered people leave dirty towels on the floor and the staff isn't walking around enough to pick these up. I'll be at the gym for two hours and the dirty rags are still there... how? There is a great selection of machines though. Much more than my previous gym. I also very much enjoy the stretching area. I don't like huge gyms with a lot of people and I've never run into an instance where this place is too packed. They also repeat machinery throughout the gym which is a huge plus. read more

I was treated absolutely horribly here. I had an issue with signing up for membership online and tried to sign up at the desk, but all personnel, including the manager, were absolutely horrible. No one offered to help, they told me they couldn't do anything for me and the Manager actually smirked and made me feel disrespected and terrible. There's just no excuse for this kind of poor customer service - one of the employees actually shook his head in the affirmative when I said I thought that they had deceptive business practices and was basically in agreement with me about how terrible they are - so there you have it - absolutely horrible customer service from absolutely horrible people. read more

As it goes it seems this place has issues hiring people at the time creating an issue with weekend mornings. I'm happy to see the team working at this location tirelessly doing their best with the bare minimum of staff (even with long time staff leaving the location for better endeavors). The tanning booths also are running more towards legal regulations and i favor that. Been going to PF for a long time now. Transferred to different locations based off of work. This location is disgusting. Red mildew on the shower walls, the toilets are never clean, black mold in the corners where you place your toiletries, the showers a cold, all the soap dispensers are always empty, even the hand soap, and I take showers next to homeless guys all the time. Last week the gym was randomly closed -again-. Second time in a year. So, I went to the one on 16th. The gym was CLEAN! NO MOLD! NO HOMELESS DUDES! And they had soap. That was on the 16th street mall. Crazy- Decided to continue my gym exploring and found one on Colfax. It was also super CLEAN. No mold and Had soap. No homeless. Amazing. People say you go to a nicer gym. They are right. I go to PF out of convenience. its in the right locations. Considering I go to the gym 5 to 6 times a week and wake up at 5:00 am to make the drive into Denver for work I wish my options were different. DO I! Owner- if you respond to this- simple don't. Get your ass to work and fix your business. You got some problems. If you like I can start taking photos and posting them for the world to see. I'm really sad that I have to report a massively negative experience here so soon after leaving a rave five star review (without a doubt: Athena and Gio are awesome staffers, so this is a negative review that also acknowledges their efforts to make the club accessible). I am disabled and I have been forced to confront staff several times over their refusal to enforce handicapped parking spots. I tried to be polite, again and again. Until I arrived one night in early January and every single spot was taken by a non-handicapped vehicle. I was forced to park far away and risk it on ice. I explained to staff that a fall on ice could be a life or death issue for me (due to history of blood clots), as confirmed through hospitalizations caused by past falls. In response, two staff members not only refused to help (after insisting they would) they mocked me when I was still standing five feet away. Even more troubling, before mocking me, the staff member at the helm went so far as to defend the violators, saying there was nowhere to park further away for non-disabled people due to increased visitors arriving to achieve New Year's resolutions. They were only breaking the law, too, he claimed because it was super cold outside. He told me he'd put post it notes on the offending vehicles (not good enough). When he thought I was out of earshot, he ripped up the "notes" and threw them away. I've called the police and the tow company. No one will help. This is all absolutely disgusting. I work out seven days a week, thankful to be here after years spent in a wheelchair, and all I asked was for safe entry into the gym. I called the PF corporate office and the local franchise ownership group. Neither bothered to respond to me. So I'm saying it like it is here. It is dehumanizing to be treated this way, especially at a place where "You Belong" is the corporate mantra. read more

I've been going to this place for almost 3 years and it works well for what I need but it has a lot of struggles. This morning for the third time I pulled up and the gym was randomly closed. No notes, no announcement why, etc. sucks when you wake up at 530 and the gym is closed. I went to this gym for the first time today. The reason I will never go back has nothing to with equipment which is fine. The reason is that 4 out of 14 people had no mask or face coverings, whatsoever, and another 3 were only partially covered. On the way out, I asked the young man about the policy and he said no one has to wear mask when using the equipment. That was enough for me. A health club of any kind should be especially concerned about public health. read more

I've been going to this gym since it opened and have enjoyed getting my workout in. The gym itself is laid out nicely and nice selection of equipment to use. They keep the gym clean and sanitizer/paper towels stocked. The men's room/showers are kept somewhat clean, but I feel more detail/frequencies of cleaning could happen. I do notice at time the staff chatting at length behind the counter rather than checking up on the condition of the gym/restrooms. They do acknowledge you when you enter to sign in and when you leave. read more

This gym has gone down the hill very rapidly. When I first started six months ago, it was a clean gym. In the last month it has gone from a eight down to a one. The bathrooms are always dirty, always out of soap and the locker room is disorganized. Throughout the gym there's dust bunnies everywhere and nothing is being done. They have enough workers now that one can watch the front and the other can start cleaning but all they do is stand around the countertop on their phones. I do not suggest this location to anybody find another one. read more

I think the reviews on here are laughable. A. It's cheap, if you want something "better" go pay for it like everything else in the country. The price point has remained the same for the 7 years I've been a member. Sometime I have a membership somewhere else as well for the amenities. I've been to several PFs across the country snd my experience at the Colorado Blvd location has been great. I find the staff very personal and friendly. And honestly, $25 is as great price point in 2023. I too hate the color purple but for 5-10 hours a week, I can handle it. Thanks PF. read more

I just tried checking out this planet fitness since 24 is so busy sometimes. Apparently they charge $20 to check out the gym for a day if you're interested in joining...that's like a car dealership charging you to test drive a car. They won't stay in business long. read more

They are inconsistent in their rules. One day you can ya se your own sunglasses next time yo have to have their approved goggles which " you can buy" from them. They also have such high turnover the workers dont even know their own rules. Some of the machines already are starting to brake Other locations are much better. Not sure if this is corporate or individual owned but they need better management and training read more

This gym was circling the drain for a while, that has changed. The newer employees are all great, but I have to put the spotlight on JC. JC needs to be called "The Fixer", this man gets the job done. Planet Fitness changed up the staff and that was very much needed. I was in there one night and nobody was working, literally not an employee in the building and they were to close in an hour. I called and informed another location. Shortly after that, JC and the new crew came in and cleaned that place up. PLANET FITNESS: KEEP JC HAPPY, HE IS A VALUABLE ASSET TO YOUR BUSINESS!! Not only does he have amazing attention to detail, he knows the guests by name, and not just as they are walking in. Kudos to the MAJOR turnaround at this location. I was just about to drop my membership and then these positive changes came about. I will continue to workout here and that is thanks to JC and the rest of the crew!!!! This place is super cheap for a monthly membership (only $10), but you get what you pay for. The water in the showers is frequently cool or very cold. So, you have to let the water run for several minutes for the water to finally warm up. I have spoken with the front desk people and management several times and they blame the "property management company." The real problem is that Planet Fitness rented a space with enough water heaters for a very small business (not hundreds of people trying to take showers). The end result is a lot of fresh water is going down the drain at Planet Fitness. And we are in a DROUGHT in Colorado, but nobody seems to care. Also, the drains in the showers frequently smell of some kind of sewage issue. I have mentioned this to the "front desk" people and AGAIN... there seems to be no way to fix this issue. It stinks like a back-flow problem or a fresh air ventilation issue (I am not sure, I am not a plumber). Anyway, the showers stink like some kind of sewage and after repeated conversations with the employees here, I am posting this review. If you are thinking about getting a membership at PF... don't. Unless you like stinky cold showers... then by all means, have at it. read more

This was my home gym for a little under a year. Yesterday, I went in to cancel my membership because my new apartment complex has its own gym. After confirming my cancelation, I asked if I would be receiving a final charge. After checking, the staff member told me that a new billing cycle had just begun, so I would be charged for the final cycle on 10/17 (in 5 days). When I asked if this meant my membership will be valid until the end of the cycle, I was told NO! The day I cancel is the day my membership ends. So I am paying for an entire month of membership in spite of my membership being immediately terminated, which seems particularly unfair since the billing cycle had begun so recently that I haven't even been charged yet! The staff member told me that this stipulation was in my initial membership agreement, and I understand that he does not have the ability to change the terms, BUT he absolutely could have told me this was the case prior to processing my cancelation. If I knew this would happen, I would have waited until closer to the end of the cycle before canceling. I can't think of any other business which does not allow one to use their membership until it expires even after canceling an account. read more
