HOLY FUN! This is my first year but we are already planning to do another season. Shout out to Kim W for forcing me to join! =) I haven't played kickball in some years but I am getting the hang of it again since we have some games under our belt. The Winter '16 Central FL league plays Thursday nights at Barnett Park. It's huge! There are 5 games playing at the same time. The season goes 2/11 - 4/2. Cost: $69 Early Reg or $75 Slacker Reg -- I was a slacker, but still a good deal: It includes 7 weeks of regular games, 1 all day tournament with a BBQ, team shirt, two all-inclusive parties, theme nights, guest DJ (meh) for 4 weeks at the fields, league outings and weekly discounts at our sponsor bar. When signing up, you can choose your team or you can be placed on a team, totally up to you. The first meet up is a little overwhelming for first timers as there are a ton of people who do this season after season. There are some SERIOUS players ya'll. Just sign up for fun and get out there and meet some people who like to play kickball, drink, and indulge in some playful competition. Pro-tip, get cleats! read more

It started out fun. I've never really joined one of these social sports leagues before, so I had no idea what to expect. We were added to a team of cool people who weren't hyper-competitive. We all just wanted to hang out, drink, and have fun. Unfortunately, most of the other teams are not like ours. All they seem to care about is winning at any cost. When your entire team bunts, how much fun can that possibly be? Others don't know how to control their drinking and get belligerent. And then they ref your game. Not fun. The one upside is the great people I've met on my team, but I won't be returning next season. Hopefully we find another league that manages the teams and gameplay better. read more

Positives: there are actually some cool and fun people playing in the league. Negative: For what you get the price is too high, Wednesday is "supposedly" non competitive... you have to ref, when you do, be prepared to be yelled at and cursed at. The teams are overfilled we literally had 6 people sitting per inning... Remedies: pay people to referee... especially playoffs, remind people weekly that it is a fun and social league, and lastly... make additional teams so you don't have to sit several times per game. Oh, and maybe lower the price if you have to ref, and sit innings. read more

I've played in the NYC Club Waka league, met a lot of great people, and had a lot of fun. Thinking this'd be more of the same, just further south, I signed up for Orlando's kickball league. For a supposedly "fun and recreational" league, there's waaay to many people taking it seriously. As said before in other reviews, this league is full of dudes who bunt, people who try to spin their pitches like a Bop-it, and refs who are other from other teams who would rather not be there. Half the time our refs from other teams would be too busy drinking and chatting with friends to know basic things like, what inning it was, what the score was, what time it was, or whether the person 6 inches away from them was out or safe. For as much money as you pay to play, you'd think they could afford a few refs for 2 hours once a week. I would definitely not suggest joining the Orlando Club Waka. read more

I attempted to join a kickball league. During my first game the team that was winning by a lot was bunting (guys can bunt in this league, just a heads up), the refs are other players, and everybody drinks. The refs are drinking and don't pay attention half the time, there was almost a brawl after my game too. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I got a full refund when I voiced my complaints to the league. I'm sure nothing will change, but if you like to drink a lot while you happen to be playing kickball, this is the league for you. If you like to play sports for the social and competitive part, look somewhere else. Unless you're insanely charismatic or very gifted athletically, good luck fitting in. Everyone on every team knows each other already. I was there to meet people and play kickball. One person on my team was too inebriated by the end of the game to play properly. One more thing, this seems to be common among all the leagues out here, but the "field" is just cones set up in a baseball diamond shape, no one plays on an actual baseball or softball field. read more

Very Unorganized. Way overpriced. Its more of a pay to hang out with friends league. There are no real refs. They use cones in a field instead of a real baseball diamond. And everyone bunts. Most kickball games bunting is not allowed, some only if your a female. If this league was better organized it could be fun. They dont even have team shirts for everyone, most teams are a bunch of people wearing random shirts, cant tell who is on who's team. The people that play are great that play the organization is just a mess. read more
