Food: 4 Stars Service: 4 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Fill Factor: Stuffed Cluck Clucks has been on my list of places to try for ages but I have always been too lazy to make the trek. So I finally decided to make the trip and I must say that it was a mistake to procrastinate on this place. I had not really looked at the menu prior to coming in so it took me a bit of time to figure out what they offered and make a decision. I ended up going with the Twaco which is described as "Boneless Breast, Jalapeno Cheddar Waffle, Shredded Cabbage, Fried Tortilla Strips, Cluck Sauce" which sounded delicious. I also ordered a side of Chipotle fries which was unfortunately way too salty for my taste. The Twaco itself was pretty good as the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle had a fairly firm texture and the taste was ok, nothing mind blowing. Overall the Twaco was pretty good and would be something I'd order again but I will definitely skip the fries. Just to add another perspective, the friends I was with ordered only the fried chicken and they were praising it so I think we can all agree the chicken is good here. In terms of service, the gentleman who took our order was friendly and was ready to give us suggestions as he may have sensed this was our first time here. He also came by to wipe our table down when he noticed us cleaning some sauce off the table so definitely appreciated that. Other than that food was ready quickly so no complaints from me. The place wasn't too big but there's ample seating and everything was bright and clean. The smell of fried chicken in the air was also a delight especially when you're hungry. Well I am glad I made the trek down to Cluck Clucks as overall I enjoyed my food. I'll definitely be back and would recommend giving this place a try if you haven't been here already.

My wife and I had a 'lazy' day and decided to order Cluck Clucks from Uber Eat. The restaurant is only a 15 minute walk from our apartment, but it was a Friday afternoon and we wanted some comfort food to go along with our Friday night movie! The delivery was swift, only taking about 25 minutes, and the food came packaged well and it was easily noticeable that everything we received was fresh (and still warm)! We ordered one of the Mother Cluckers and the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and received fries for free (thank you Uber Eats promo!) and the only thing I can say is... Yum! From the Clucks sauce to the juicy chicken, everything was perfect and exactly what we were craving. My wife and I joke that we still have dreams about the food. We'll definitely be ordering again (or if we're not feeling too lazy, we'll venture into the restaurant). Until then, I'll keep dreaming about the food.
Arrived literally a couple mins before closing time when the place was being cleaned, asked the server if they are closed he said he would accommodate my last order!!!! Such amazing customer service from Alphin, apart from the fried chicken being incredibly delicious. When I told him I am redeeming a birthday coupon, he also added in a complimentary drink to my order. Thank you so much Alphin! I am a loyal customer now as long as I am in Toronto!
Really delicious fried chicken and waffles! My friend and I came here yesterday evening and we walked in to an empty shop. I got the What the Cluck combo with the chipotle wedges (actually came with maybe 5-6 freshly fried wedges), a thick hearty waffle, a drum stick and thigh. I got a Canada Dry for my pop/side drink. We also shared the Nashville chicken fries which were actually cold. They gave a good amount of sauce but I felt we would've enjoyed it more if the fries were freshly hot and crispy. It is a bit on the expensive side as I paid almost $40 for my waffle combo and the side with tips. Still, I would return to try their other offerings if I'm around Distillery District. Service was good!
My husband and I were in the Friday mood. You know that feeling. Work is over, the day is close to an end and you have a great movie in front of you with your feet up. The only thing left to do is indulge. And we did just that when we decided to order cluck clucks for delivery. This was my first time trying cluck clucks after several recommendations and my expectations were exceeded by far. From the super crispy , I mean CRISPY, chicken that keeps on giving to the perfect blend of soft and sweet to spicy jalapeño kicks in the waffle - cluck clucks has quickly become one of my favourites. My husband went for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and I went for the mother clucker, so we could try a little of both. I'm that person who puts maple syrup all over her chicken and waffles, and cluck clucks makes the best version to have it just like that. The Nashville hot chicken means business though, you're warned! Even as someone who can handle her chilli pretty well, I was reaching for more sips of my drink! Oh and the fries. Wow. The fries. That chipotle sauce with crispy potatoey goodness... I need to get myself there again!
This is the first meal we had when we got off the plane in Ontario! Let's just say this place started off the food experience with high hopes ! The food was fresh and made to order. We ordered a few things to give an honest opinion and all of it was great! The chicken and waffles were great. Admittedly, the waffle had more of a mochi texture, so if you are not into that you might not enjoy it like a tradition Belgian Waffle. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. Even the chicken waffle sandwich was cooked well and not too messy to eat. The fries were glorious and the aioli sauce they topped them with was perfect. If I was a local, this place would see me on a regular basis. A big fan!
Pretty good, but could be much better. Ordered hot as cluck + large fries. Texturally lacking. Good flavour. What you get is waffle chicken sandwich that uses 1 waffle cut into 4 piece to make 2 quarter chicken sandwiches. The conecpt is good, who doesn't like a good chicken and waffle. But this isn't what I was looking for texturally. The waffle didn't give me that satisfying crisp on the edges. It was very 1 note in texture. Same with the chicken. It was breaded lightly but in the sandwich it felt quite mushy. The chicken breast itself was fine, it was moist and the entire sandwich had good flavour. All in all, this could of been really good if the chicken and waffle itself gave a crunch or had a crispy edge to it. What happens with the sauce is that you end up eating someting a bit too soft and mushy.
Solid 4!!! Been wanting to try them for the longest time-had made several attempts, all fail and finally today I got it in my belllayyyyy!!! So I ordered chicken and waffles and potatoes wedges with their spicy chipotle sauce.The chicken is freakin' finger licking.Super moist-super juicy-flavorful.The pieces were humongous.Their house sauce was pretty good, not overly spicy just perfect!What I found so so was the waffle it tasted pretty basic really didn't feel like a southern style waffle at all.It tasted just like ones you get at inns/express hotel breakfast.Overall all definitely a 8/10. Since it was drizzling in Toronto today I refused to be indoors like most people would like to be-I love driving in the rain and therefore opted a to-go instead of a dine in. My order taking was quick but it did take about 20 mins for my order to be made, though it wasn't even quite busy.I'll take it for a freshly made fried chicken!!! Will definitely try their sandwich with chicken breast next time I'm here. The location itself is clean-didn't use the bathroom though.The price was right too for all my food it was around $22. ***Halal eaters-it's HALAL***
I've heard of many good things about Cluck Clucks, as they are regarded as one of the best places to get Chicken n Waffles by many media outlets and influencers. Finally, I got to see what all the hype was about! The restaurant is like fast food style where you order at the counter, or through various mobile ordering apps, and you come pick up your food when you get called. No table service and thus no need to tip. There are a good number of chairs and tables for seating, but not too comfy to encourage customers to come and go at a fast rate. Since they have an open kitchen, I took a look at how they prepare the food while I waited. I was really impressed with how fresh their foods were during my visit, as I watched my fried chicken went from the deep fried straight to my plate. I was really satisfied with how crispy my chicken turned out and it was really juicy on the inside. Since it came straight from the deep frier, it was really hot, so I took my time and savour the meal. The waffle was pretty good too and also fresh, but I found that to be kind of average to be honest, actual waffle/dessert shops do better waffles. I did like the aioli sauce however, and it went well with the waffle. It was definitely a great meal overall, and I would recommend Cluck Clucks to my friends.
Ambiance: This is more of a fast food kind of place. There's minimal seating available. It was a hot day when I went and it was even warmer inside. They are cooking the food right there so if you sit in and eat, expect to walk out smelling like it. Food: The chicken is cooked to perfection. It's very delicious! It's flavourful and not dry. Clucks clucks special. It was juicy with a lot of items in it. The chicken was very flavorful. The waffle in my opinion was dry, and the little amount of sauce they give wasn't enough. I got the sweet heat and had to get another sauce. The price on average for a meal is $15. The fries are alright. Not the greatest in comparison to other place but they get the job done. I wish they would have at least syrup on each table.
Chicken and waffles is a combination that I wasn't sure I'd quite like. However, after coming across Cluck Cluck's, I decided to give it a try. It took me a while to get used to the taste and to process that I was having chicken with waffles but it wasn't long before I fell in love with the food because the chicken was made fresh and I could taste the freshness too! I love the sauces used and that the food was served hot. I visited twice within a few months as I loved it so much. I brought the leftovers home and my family loved it just as much.

Cluck cluck's is a nearby restaurant in the vicinity of the Distillery District, and is a good place to unwind with some vibrant decor and poppin' music. Tried the "Cluck Yeah" combo which is fried chicken on a jalapeno waffle as a kind of waffle sandwich, and comes with your choice of a drink (pop, water) and side (fries, wedges, coleslaw) for about ~$18. The flavour was good and tasty for a hearty fried chicken meal, and the portion was filling for the meal. The coleslaw in the sandwich was a nice balance with the chicken and waffles. The chicken was pretty juicy and had some nice texture. Would have liked the waffle to be toasted a bit more as it was a bit soggy when I got to it from the sauces and coleslaw. Overall, pretty satisfying for an indulgent treat and who doesn't love some good puns cluck cluck!

The best fried chicken I've had in my life so far, not exaggerating! This night in Montreal was freezing and most places were already either closed or empty, but Cluck Clucks was still there with people chowing down. The chicken here was a perfect golden crisp on the outside. The inside was juicy and so tender that meat literally ripped like scallops. I kept ripping it apart like the satisfying feeling of ripping apart fresh bread. As a fried chicken connoisseur, my goal is to find a local fried chicken establishment that surpasses Cluck Clucks, but that goal has not been met. Now everytime I have fried chicken, I think of them and wonder if I'll ever find chicken that good again... and when I'll be able to go back for my next visit. read more

It was nice not having hardened waffles for a change. The surefire sign I loved it is I wanted more when I was done!! Cluck Clucks is just so good! Perfectly prepared fried chicken so light, crispy and juicy. I usually not a lover of deep fried food but if it is so delicious it worth every single calories. Mother Clucker: Fresh Jalapeno & Cheddar Waffle ($12.99) Staff here is so friendly and welcoming. Every order is cook when order so there would be 15- 20 minute wait. Waffles was OK but the main attraction is definitely the fried chicken! read more
3.5 STARS I went here last week with a group of friends. It's an unassuming place and when you walk in, holy cluck is it orange everywhere! I think one of the staff said it used to be a laundry mat. It has that fast food kinda vibe to it, but the food is anything but fast food. I had the kid size chicken and waffles with the side of fries (Little Clucker). The chicken was nice and crispy and juicy but the fries were waaaaay too salty for me. I could only handle a few unfortunately. I should have picked the coleslaw as the option for the side. The combo (with drink) is about $11, Now even though it's a smaller meal than the other options don't get your feathers in a knot as it is still plenty of food. Bone in chicken thigh was a fairly big piece and the waffle had a nice doughy warm consistency to it. Just looking at the menu and the names they came up with are good for a laugh! Going through some of the reviews just absolutely made my mouth water. Finally decided to go with their 8 piece and a side of coleslaw. Placed an order on foodora to have this delivered as I was not feeling the need to step outside in the blizzard. Food arrived quickly and to my surprise the chicken was still scorching hot and crispy! The skin appeared to be burnt but it tasted spectacular. Well seasoned. The coleslaw was disappointing in portion size but that was also delicious. Definitely curious to step into the store one day when the weather permits! read more

Located in a strip mall looking place, we came here looking for something different and as other reviews stated, "the best chicken and waffles." We were greeted by friendly staff who helped us pick out our meal - we ordered the "cluck yeah" sandwich, which was a jalapeño waffle sandwich with fried chicken, coleslaw and their special sauce, and a side of fries. The meal was large and definitely enough for two to split. Everything was very tasty and came out fast and piping hot. Our only complaint was that this is NOT the place to go if you are looking to escape the heat. It was about 10 degrees HOTTER inside than outside (and it was 90 outside!) due to the friers and stoves and the workers looked like they were about dying, not to mention we were dripping while eating. Food: Lives up to its expectation for chicken and waffles The chicken is absolutely AMAZING and JUICY. It was dark meat chicken, and I enjoyed every bite. The waffle is a bit soft and wish it was crunchier, but still tasty!! Not going to lie, this place is a bit pricy. With a combo, I believe it came out to be about $15. So worth though! Fries were so so. A bit soft, but still compliments the chicken and waffles. Service: Sweet service! You order and pay first, and then they bring the food to your table. They even came around and asked how the food was :) Setting: Now this is why I took off a star! Although the food was phenomenal, the place had no AC. Pretty uncomfortable to eat in an environment that feels sticky. Another thing was that all the tables were so sticky. Totally understandable since people probably make messes and don't clean after themselves; however, I wish there were more people working so that they would be able to maintain the dining area. Other than this, the decor is original and I love the pops of color. They even have this huge painting on the wall that said "Cluck Yeah!" Which was creative! Overall, COME FOR THE CHICKEN!!! This joint located near St. Laurance market. Finding parking could be a little hassle. Food: Waffles were perfectly done. Had a hint of maple syrup in better which made the waffles chrispy. Fried chicken we're also great. Perfectly battered seasoned and juicy inside. French fries and wedges were complete disappointment. Overcooked fries left a bitter after taste. Cluck yeah! Which is Boneless Chicken Breast In Between A Fresh Jalapeno And Cheddar Waffle With Coleslaw, Chipotle Aioli, Dill Mayo This was by far was best out of whole menu. -Chicken juicy and succulent -Waffles were fluffy and had the right hint of seasoning -Customer service was amazing! They showed that customer satisfaction was everything! Cluck Sauce was sweet, tangy and spicy. But the waffle brings down the heat and makes the sauce become a great compliment to the meal. Do yourself a favour and check them out! Not recommended. This place is always very busy, hot and dirty. We ordered a "What The Cluck" at $10.49 and "Cluck Yeah" at $8.99 with Wedges for $2.99. We waited for about 20 minutes to get our food and took it to-go because the restaurant itself was very dirty and greasy. I don't think they wipe down their tables or mop the floors. The food looked and tasted very plain. The fried chicken didn't have any flavour or salt. It was made poorly, the chicken still had feathers and the skin was burnt, or cooked in old oil. The waffle was disappointing. It was not crispy and had no flavour. I didn't end up finishing some of the food, the fries were a bit soggy, it wasn't good enough to eat. Overpriced. Memorably terrible food. Completely overhyped. Honestly, this was such a bad experience, I would not give this place another try. read more

Best chicken & waffles ever! You know when you go somewhere and either the waffles are good and the chicken is not, or the chicken is on point and the waffles are soggy...well you get none of that here. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. The chicken was crispy and juicy while the waffles weren't too sweet and had the perfect fluffy texture. Oh and the Cluck Sauce is heaven. It's like sweet chili and mayo had a baby. Paired perfectly with the chicken and the crispy fries. Basically, everything was amazing and I would come back again and again! My only wish is that they had a spicy chicken option then all my dreams would come true. read more
I haven't always been the biggest fan of chicken and waffles, but Cluck Clucks made me a believer. I ordered the Cluck Yeah! which was big enough to share with a friend. The chicken breast was lightly seasoned and surprisingly tender. The fluffy jalapeño cheddar waffle was savory but not spicy, with a hint of sweetness. And the chipotle aioli + dill mayo was the perfect kick of extra flavor to the entire combo. My daily emotions are usually based on how good my meals are, so needless to say I left Cluck Clucks pretty damn happy. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. This place is really everything you can ask for in a quick and filling meal. read more
Chicken and waffles two of my favorite things you put them together and you get a heavenly combination. First thing you search on Yelp with waffles and chicken and you get Cluck Clucks. Located at princess and esplanade this chicken and waffles placed is a must try for waffles and chicken lovers. Decided to get the Cluck yeah! A boneless breast, jalapeno and cheddar waffle, coleslaw, chipotle aioli and dill mayo. The cluck yeah is basically a sandwich with the waffle as the bread. First time trying jalapeno and cheddar waffle and it was very good, the jalapeno was cut in tiny pieces and scattered lightly. The chicken was very nice on its own lightly battered a little hint of spicy and the coleslaw under the chicken you combine it all the flavor profile is amazingly. read more

Overall the food was delicious and I would absolutely go there again. Sauces- Hot sauce was pretty good, and it was actually very spicy. Dill Mayo was freaking delicious, you need to get it. Who knew maple syrup and fried chicken would go so well together? Pair it with the dill mayo and you'll be in heaven. The number 5 was pretty good, but they put too much coleslaw in the sandwich and that makes the waffle a little soggy, which takes away from some of the texture you get from it. read more

Fried chicken. There is no better meal than that. Add waffle to it, and you get a strange, yet delicious mix. I went there on a Sunday around 1pm for lunch and the place was crowded with seats difficult to find. We were a group of 5 so it was difficult to find a table that fit all of us. I took the boneless chicken on waffle, sweet version. The chicken was well well fried, and crispy. The meat was also was also very lean, which is good for them gainz. That didn't prevent to have the guilt post-meal and the urge to work-out to lose all them fat that I just consumed. I will come back to try other meals. read more

Overall Impressions: Can I get a Cluck Yeah? 4.0 stars for delicious, juicy fried chicken. I will definitely visit again to try other menu items. I've tried chicken and waffles in the US and I find this place to be unique and in many ways better. Food: They kinda divide the Chicken options in terms of whether you want bone-in or boneless. I tried the Cluck Yeah sandwich because of all the rave reviews. I was simply impressed and my hands were messy after. I was a bit skeptical of the melding of spicy, sweet and savoury together but it works so damn well. The Jalapeño and cheddar waffle surprised me. I thought I was just going to eat the chicken and leave most of the waffle. I was wrong and I ate the whole thang. It comes out hot, soft and delicious. Again, the flavours mesh well together. The chicken breast, was lightly battered, golden fried and the oil was not old. The chicken was plentiful and juicy. I love how the top is covered with chipotle aioli and the bottom is dill mayo. It's like two different sandwiches on both sides. Simply genius lol. The sandwich had a nice layer of coleslaw. I'll comment on the side of coleslaw while I'm at it. It was rich and creamy as a coleslaw ought to be. Cluck yeah. The bone-in chicken on waffles was also juicy, crispy and the right amount of batter coating. Service: The staff are super cool. They helped me pick menu items and categorically helped me select based on my preferences. They bring the food right out to you. The tables in the restaurant felt slightly sticky. Short summary: Fastfood quality without the fastfood service speed. We wanted to go someplace close to the Distillery and after seeing the reviews and hearing about this new place, my friends and I walked over here for lunch. The place: The inside of the restaurant is more like a fast food/cafeteria type of interior. You go up to the counter to order and sit anywhere you want. The space is big but the tables are spread apart, which seems like a bit of wasted space. Service: We were trying to decide between all the choices so the lady at the counter gave us some good suggestions. The 3 of us got the Twacos, Cluck Yeah and Little Clucker with wedges to share. Food:This was the first chicken and waffle place I've been to in Toronto, and the best one I've been to so far has the Tuc kitchen in Vancouver. The presentation of twacos looks epic but the taste of all the waffles was mediocre, something we could probably just make at home. It wasn't really light/airy or crunchy, just a bit on the doughy side. Out of all 3 dishes, the plain chicken thigh without any dressing from Little Clucker was the best. Twacos was good but too hard to eat and a bit heavy on the dressing. Wedges were crispy and fresh from the fryer and we got sweet heat and the clucker sauce to go with it. Sweet heat is literally just maple syrup with a bit of a kick. Probably won't bother going again if I were back in Toronto. It made me miss Tuc in Vancouver instead. read more

A very simple fast food outlet. Barebone decor and simple menu, which are basically variation of number of chicken pieces, boned vs no bones, with waffles + your choice of sauce. They made everything after you order so it does take about 10 minutes wait. The chicken is indeed incredibly crispy and juicy. The waffle is also very yummy, savoury and sweet at the same time. I had the coleslaw which was actually quite fresh. The potato wedges were not so remarkable. While i really like it, the concept of eating chicken and waffle tgt baffles me lol. Having to use knife and fork to cut up the waffle means that the paper on the serving tray gets disintergrated. And then have to switch to eat the chicken with hand (yes i am barbaric ) just didn't feel like a cohesive experience to me. Plus, i think the waffle really fills you up. I will definitelt return, but i think in future i will either ordee just chicken or just waffle. read more

A small casual eatery tucked away on the far east side of St Lawrence market area with great tasting fried chicken and waffles! I ordered the "Cluck Yeah" fried chicken waffle, which took about 5-10 minutes to prepare. The waffle was nicely crispy, lightly sweet, and the jalapeños in it gave it a very nice kick. The fried chicken was tender and moist with a nice crispy batter. Definitely one of the better fried chicken waffles I have had in the city! The only improvement I can think of would be to have a location closer to the downtown main core area. read more
Came here after seeing people talk about halal chicken and waffles in toronto. At first it seemed like a strange combination but I had to try it ! I'm sooo glad I decided to come here I loved everything about this place , from the decor to the funny names the menu items had. I ordered a chicken waffle sandwich ( I think it's called the "holy cluck") and it was amazing. The chicken was fried perfectly and the waffle was nice and fluffy. On top of that they also had this great sauce. 5/5 starts I'll definitely be coming back. read more

"Cluck Yeah" Sandwich Boneless chicken was amazing. Toppings in the sandwich all fit perfectly and provided a great mix of flavours. Coleslaw & Chipotle aioli Im not usually a waffle person but this waffle was amazing. The jalapenos in the waffles was a game changer. Would definitely recommend for anyone! read more

I walk by this street every once in a while and despite having this place bookmarked forever never noticed it (The address says esplanade even though its on a side street) Never mind I finally made it here. Even though I do like fried chicken I only eat it every once a while so didn't have high expectations here. My exposure to southern cuisine is also somewhat limited and had no idea what a combo of chicken and waffle would be like. Pleased to share that it works somehow. I ordered the Mother Clucker with clucker sauce on the side. DC ordered the open sandwich with dill sauce and side of potato wedges. The place is more like a fast food joint with a greasy feel on the table and chairs but I wasn't expecting fine dinning here in the first place. Our chicken was fried to order and came out piping hot. The waffle I had was cheese based and didn't have any sweet finish as expected. The chicken itself is decent and quite moist. I like dark meat so enjoyed it. The sauce itself is OK I think I will upgrade to the hot sauce version on the next visit. The potato wedges are huge and I didn't enjoy them much. Will try the fries next visit. My DC had tried this place before so knew what to expect. While coming back from Distillery District today I realized that Cluck Clucks was just a few steps away. It was on my bookmarks list very long so thought to give it a shot today. When you are a couple 100 meters away from the restaurant you can smell the delicious fried chicken, so just follow the aroma and you will land in the right place.As you enter you see a very casual atmosphere with a few tables up for grabs. We ordered a Cluck Yeah!! Combo with a side of fries and 2 pc fried chicken with a side of wedges. Fried chicken was mind-blowing, super juicy and crispy, very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Clucks Yeah sandwich again the chicken was super flavourful, tender, juicy and cooked to perfection but for my waffle I would prefer it a little bit more in the savoury side. It was a little sweet for me though I don't think they put lots of sugar in it. However my preference for a chicken waffle sandwich is no sugar at all. Apart from that everything was superb. This place is on point. First time here and the cashier had no issues telling me what were good options. I ordered a waffle and chicken with the bone in that came with a drink and fries. Chicken was fried just right. Not greasy or anything. You have several different sauces you can get but I just went with maple. If you haven't been you are missing out. read more
