I decided to seek chiropractic care for the first time a few months ago because I was starting to have some sciatic pain. After receiving adjustments and decompression, not only is my sciatic pain gone, several other issues have been resolved! I used to get terrible headaches almost every day. I think I've had one headache since I started coming here. I also have issues with dizziness (especially in the fall) and I've had no issues this year! I am a 460 year old male who has had back problems my whole life. It started when I was 13. I have always been athletic and in good shape and even with back issues played sports. My back would go out and freeze up 2-3 times a year on average for about 3-4 days and then I could function. This happened for 25 years until 2 years ago my back went out in February 16. This time was different I didn't recover from it after 2 weeks and it was getting worse.I was bed ridden and could not function as my pain level was of the charts I went to the doctors and they did the same they always do x-ray. The day of the x-ray getting back into my car I basically got paralyzed and couldn't move. I ended up in the hospital that day with a pain level that was worse than anything I ever felt. Turned out I had a BULGING DISC AND HERNIATED DISC. That had been my problem the whole time since i was a kid.The disc has been pushing on my spinal cord causing it to freeze up. The difference now is my disc burst and was leaking fluid onto my spinal cord. This was shown from my MRI which was the first I've received. The doctors wanted to cut out my L5 and S1 disc and put one rod on each side of my spine with 3 screws in each side. At first I wanted to do the surgery because I only wanted to not suffer anymore. However the more I looked into the results of the surgery the more I changed my mind. The stories I herd were horrible about recovery and results. I started doing research and came across Laser Spinal Decompression. They claimed to have a 90% success rate. Well I was like BS there no way it can be that good. I went to a appointment to see what they had to say and left there feeling like it could not be true. I thought long and had and canceled my surgery and decided to give this treatment a try. Even tho it wasn't covered by Insurance. So I went to the treatment and had immediate results the pressure on my back got a little relief. Mind you at this point I felt a pain level of 9 all day every day and tailbone felt like it was loose with bolts loose. Not to mention my hips were killing and I could not sit down on any seat for more than 2 minutes. I kept going and was feeling better and better after the 10 or so visit I started to want to walk and get some exercise. After the 21 visits I felt amazing I had played tennis and basketball among other things. So hear I am two years later and I feel amazing I dropped 25 pounds and Have my life back I can work and go out and do pretty much anything I want. Now I still go to the treatment and will NEVER stop going. I have done 3 rounds of it and it has saved my life for sure. I use to say I could see how someone would want to end there life with this type m of thing. I didn't feel like a man or a provider because I simply was broken. BUT NOT ANY MORE!!! I'm STRONG AS EVER AND LOVING LIFE!! IF ANYONE HAS A BULGING DISC OR HERNIATED DISC AND WANT RELIEF GO SEE DR CLUGSTON HE ROCKS!! I get TERRIBLE stress headaches that lead to migranes. I've been going to a massage therapy every other week for over three years. Part of the issue is I'm pretty awful at remembering to drink water but also was starting to feel like the relief was a bandaid and not a solution because it always came back. I've been adjusted now 4x (once a week to start) and actually feel like my equilibrium is restored. I'm sleeping better and might be even be less anxious (?!). Whatever it is, its working. read more

Over the years I have been to many different chiropractors, and in general they are always helpful. But here at Clugston, they are the best! It's a smaller facility, with 3 staff (Ashley, Elizabeth, Barb) and 1 primary chiropractor (Dr. Clugston). Everyone is always warm and welcoming and they engage is personal conversation and always remember and ask about 'life details'. As far as the care we have received, it is top-notch. Dr. Clugston uses the drop-table method to adjust, which is far less invasive and less painful than standard mechanical adjustments. Since coming here I have a lot less pain overall, and don't experience the after adjustment soreness that I've had previously. They also have a lot of technology integration including cold laser treatments and a computer connected tool which is able to detect even the slightest misalignment. And Massage therapy is available as well. Of course, the icing is the ease with which Barb handles our billing and insurance. And she always goes an extra mile to help make sure we get the coverage we need from our insurance. I am so glad we found this place! read more

This was an extremely unprofessional visit to the chiropractors. I went when I was experiencing pain in my neck and was looking for a Chiropractor that was close. They took my insurance information and quoted me an amount. When I came in they took X-rays and gave me an exam. When the Chiropractor came in to talk to me the very first question out of his mouth was "were you ever in an accident". He then went on to tell me how bad my neck looked and that I would need to come in 3 times a week for possibly up to 6 weeks. It felt like a complete sales job... I went to a Chiropractor where I used to live and with 2 visits and some neck exercises boom I felt better. After all that when I got the bill from Clugston it was not what they quoted and was higher. They told me that even though insurance quoted them the X-rays were not included. Good chiropractor BUT.......the office staff is pushy and money hungry. Got constant phone calls a week, pushing to make next appointment... just days after the last. My insurance only covers so many visits and I need to spread them out so they last. Office staff always trying to sell me stuff. I Live on a fixed income and I told them that repeatedly but they still pushed the products and I just couldn't take it, so I found a new chiropractor that wanted to help me and not line his pocket book. read more
