Since our dog was born, he has been a patient there, but during his most recent visit for his yearly checkup we had a traumatic experience. My emotions were taken advantage of and almost scammed. They took him away to examine him and came saying he had a heart murmur. They wanted us to pay nearly $500 to sedate and examine him. At that point I was beyond tears hearing the possible state of my dog. As were figuring out the next steps words were exchanged between my mom and the vet which they refused us service and left my dog on the ground. As I'm leaving, I asked am I good to leave and the lady says yes so, I go to my car, and another comes out of the building very aggressive and pointing her figures at me saying I have a fee to pay but I was unaware because the other lady said I was good to go. Keep in mind I am in the car trying to collect myself and find alternative veterinarians during this moment. Also, we had concerns about his eye that were never addressed. During the same day we visited another vet, and he did not have a heart murmur and was perfectly healthy besides his eye needing eye drops. Overall, please be careful of scammers and get second opinions. We do not recommend this vet. We've NEVER had issues with them until this visit. read more

All my dealings with this vet clinic have been extraordinary. The support staff is pleasant and extremely helpful, and the doctors are gentle and patient. Recently, I needed a copy of my pet's vaccination record for a new groomer, and it was emailed to me within minutes of me requesting. Love them, highly recommend. read more

Dr. Condon does not introduce herself when she comes in to wisk my dog away. He's a 12 pounder and is afraid of her. Then when she brings him back she barely has a word to say. Twice now she has misdiagnosed an ear infection, claiming it was allergies. Another vet at the clinic was kind enough to give us some ear drops and this cleared the problem within days each time. No word on how to prevent this, but the young man at Tractor Supply steered us the right way and all is well now. read more

So we left a horrible Vet, for Clyde Park, and have remained 9 or 10 years. In that time, Dr. Thompson was WONDERFUL!!!! He listened, educated, empathized and treated our pet(s) with love! I left the previous vet because that weren't that great. They insisted I pay in advance, when I brought my 21 year old cat for euthanization. Only AFTER I offered my entire wallet, in tears, did they take us back for the deed! I shared this because when our Lab, Benjamin 17, he was euthanized at Clyde Park! Dr. Thompson remained with us, then offered us a few moments. They coordinated Sleepy Hollow, who took the care and concern deserving of a dear friend and rolled off in the hearse. What a difference in care! I continued here, until Rameses's annual check up, Ben's son. In fact, I rescheduled the visit, because Dr. Thompson would not be available. When I arrived, I was told Rameses would not be seeing Dr. Thompson, insisting they told me previous...because "it was recorded in their records. I suggested that was an out right lie, and I would not have rescheduled if I knew Rameses would not see Dr. Thompson. When I ask if I could speak with Dr, Thompson, they told me he doesn't speak with clients. So we left. I'm a grown ass man. After 10 years, I should be respected enough to talk to my dog's doctor face to face. How devastating! read more

This place is the best! It was my first time coming here and I'm glad I did, my fractured his back leg by jumping off my high up bed so I went to my old vet (Byron center animal hospital) and the visit was 300 for the X-rays and the pain meds they gave me so the estimate for surgery was 3,000- 4,000 dollars then 500 to have the pins taken out and I don't have that money lying around so I called around to tons of vets all over and most of them didn't even do one told me if I didn't have the 2,500 dollar surgery today that my dog with have a 50% change of the surgery actually working because I waited a week and a half to get the surgery so a ton of calls later and my patience wearing thin because of all the different things I was being told I called this vet clinic I made an appointment and went there a couple days later and he was 100% honest with me and said I'm not going to lie to you he couldn't need the surgery and estimated me 1,500 dollars for the same surgery and minus the cost to have the pins taken out he even showed me what was happening to my dogs leg with a little dog leg diagram and after I left I actually knew what was wrong with my dog and knew I had options instead of someone pushing me so they can take my money for a surgery that he said "was easy and didn't know why they would charge that much" I was so happy that they aren't one of those places that play on your emotions that you have for your pet and charge you an arm and a leg for things they don't need and extra on the things you do need just because your desperate and don't want to see them hurt or in pain I will never ever go back to Byron center animal hospital because of this pleasant and refreshing experience read more

First time today, and was totally satisfied. Staff was excellent. Prices fair. Environment clean. What more can you ask for??

I want to start by saying that we were patients of Dr Thompson for over 25 years. We referred over 20 patients into the practice. I am amazed that we were treated like trash just by doing as the office and the doctor told us to do so! This is what happened. Our oldest serve dog was sick and taken an urine sample into the office. The office called us back and was informed to bring him in on Monday at 7:30 am. That someone would meet us there. We arrived on time and knocked on the door. I was greeted with the worst customer service ever. They informed me that the office was closed and did not open until 7:45 am . I stated I was told to drop off my dog at 7:30 am several times. She refused to check the file, take the dog , she never let me inside. She was less than nice. I then placed my dog back into the vehicle and left. The out come of this was we where dismissed from the practice, from office manager Michelle. When she spoke with my husband she stated where dismissed and was asked why, she laughed and never answered the question. My problem is with both the staff and Dr. Thompson. Staff and the doctor both refused to see my dog after instructing us to do so. Several messages have been left for him, the owner. He does not have the respect to return calls after being loyal to him and his practice for years. The staff and office manager lack empathy, understanding, basic customer service skills or loyality. I can only state that Michelle run the practice and those within the practice is afraid to cross her. About an year ago she told my husband she told Dr. Thompson to stop giving discounts. The bottom line she has total power and Dr. Thompson seems not to care any more what happens to his practice. We will not ever refer anyone to this vet Clyde Park Vet, Wyoming,Michigan. read more

I start by saying that I love Dr. Petrovich, she is a good-hearted vet who knows a lot about the nature of animals. My very skittish kitty gave her a lick on the nose! Dr. P heads up Crash's Landing a cat rescue that also houses cats with Feline Leukemia. I love her, but I have had to switch to another vet and here is why: My problem with this officet is almost solely with the support staff and vet techs. They often forget who you are or who your animal is and can be very impersonal-which is NOT what you want when you are concerned about an animal that is ill or having surgery. A few years ago my dog broke a glass door and cut open both front wrists. My husband had to sleep with him on the floor so that he wouldn't jump up and re-open his cuts. After carrying our 90 lb. boxer into the Vet's office on a monday morning to get stitched up a very annoyed vet tech proceeded to put him on the ground and walk him back on a leash! She wouldn't even let my husband carry our terrified dog back . This same tech also harassed us for several months to get our cat up-to-date on his shots even though a month earlier he had to be put down after a a terminal cancer diagnosis. Very unfriendly to say the least! The office has so many patients it can feel like you are being rushed in and out the door without much consideration. All in all I won't be going back although Dr. P is so good and the prices are reasonable. read more

Our family consists of 3 people, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a lizard. Needless to say, the people are outnumbered. I met Dr. Jen years back while adopting our first cat from her awesome rescue, Crash's Landing. I recently decided to switch all of our furry kids over to her. She is very knowledgeable and understanding, I love their hours and I know that Clyde Park Veterinary Clinic does a lot to help abused, neglected and homeless cats via Dr. Jen. I happily give them my business as a gesture of thanks. Without Dr. Jen, and Clyde Park, there would be no Crash's Landing. Clyde Park's prices are great, staff is friendly, but Dr. Jen is my main reason for going there. I trust her 100%. I would highly recommend Clyde Park to anyone! read more

We are parents to two adult cats, both of whom are rescues. We love our kitties, spoil them rotten and would do anything to make sure that the finest care is available to them. About a year ago, we changed vets from a cat only specialty practice to Dr Jen at CP Vet Clinic. We made this move based on recommendations from several friends who had told us about the excellent care that their pets receive at a significantly lower fee structure. We have been nothing but pleased! The office is further away from our home but is well worth the effort. Our kitties are cared for in a loving manner by an excellent vet who is very sharp clinically. The office isn't as "fancy" but is clean and well organized. If you're looking for value with top notch care by vets who love what they do, this is the place for your fur babies. read more

Dr. Jen and her staff are the most outstanding people in their field! We adopted two cats, Benjamin & Timothy, who are brothers, from Crash's Landing, which Dr. Jen started. Our dear cat, Benjamin, became very ill recently and Dr. Jen did everything she could for him. Unfortunately, Benjamin passed away, but Dr. Jen took incredible care of not only our cat, but also of my husband and I. I would not dream of ever going to anyone else with my pets! read more

I just called to set up an appointment for my pug, Samson, and got Jane. She was very polite on the phone and very helpful. My appointment is for next Monday at 2:45 in the afternoon. I am not used to making appointment for the vets, but at least I got an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. So far, so good. I will update after our visit! read more

We adopted 3 cats from Crash's Landing and that is how we met Dr. Jen.She is a Gem. She loves animals and understands them. She is very personable and great to deal with. We live in Rockford and Lord knows there are enough vets in this area, but we love Dr. Jen and will make the drive . Also their prices are reasonable compared to others. read more

With 15 cats (some of whom came from Crash's Landing) and a dog, the two humans in our house are way outnumbered! Dr. Jen has been our vet since we rescued our very first kitty, Albus Dumbledore, in 2004. Clyde Park Veterinary Clinic is a long drive from Sparta, MI, but worth every mile and so are the vets, the vet techs and support staff. Granted, you can get someone on an off day (and we have) but the level of care from every single person there has consistently been excellent! Dr. Jen is just the best; Dr. Thompson is also an awesome vet! We have seen him on one or two occasions when Dr. Jen was not available and my parents have had him as their vet for many years (and they love him)! All in all, I would highly recommend Clyde Park Veterinary Clinic to anyone and everyone! read more
