Deanna called me up within 5 minutes and started the check in process, only to learn that Aetna not only sent me to the wrong Urgent Care, they also had given me the wrong insurance card! Deanna could have easily sent me on my way, but she went the extra mile (and for those of you that don't know, it's never crowded) and located my provider and the correct urgent care facility. So kudos to you Deanna you are definitely a shining star!

I get to the clinic at 6:18 PM and saw a sign to ring the doorbell. So I gave it a rang and sat down patiently awaiting 6:30 PM for my appointment. Around 6:26 PM the nurse comes out and is stunned to see me waiting. Immediately, she questions me and asks how long was I waiting and if I rang the doorbell. I let her know I thought I did upon arrival (even though my scheduled appointment should've let her know). She then let's me know she has already cleaned up for the day? I try to let know I booked the appointment online for a TB test, and she goes in the back for a few seconds. She proceeds to ask me if I can come back as it's a time sensitive test. Given the nature of the test I have to either come back Saturday or Sunday. I understand.... however, why have such times listed on the booking portal if you can't read the test within a reasonable time? To my understanding, the TB test has to be read within a 48-72 hours from the test given. That would land me anytime before 6:30 PM Sunday, and I was able to come before closing on Sunday to get it read.. Left quite vexed after not being heard nor with the TB skin test. Long story short, I had an EXTREMELY unpleasant experience here at Target Clinic. One would assume, if a time is listed on an appointment booking platform, the service listed can be administered. Not in this case. Even if the nurse concluded she personally would not be able to give the test, I could've been notified before my appointment time, and before I drove out to the clinic. Disappointed is the least I can say. The nurse on duty had a poor attitude. It could've been chalked up to a misunderstanding, but she carried such a LACK of professionalism and sensitivity. Please go somewhere else if you are looking for patient care!

X rays on the premises. I was rear ended in a car accident. I was rocked. My back, neck and right shoulder were jacked up. I went to a hospital ER in the area and it was slammed. So I went on our good ol' Yelp and found this wonderful urgent care. Everything about this experience - the first phone call with Gabrielle, her care, concern and professionalism; her being on the ball and so efficient( btw she is a US Navy Veteran)- this set the tone for a great and calming visit. Dr Cho was incredible. Very personable, cool, related to me and was just so very thorough as he covered every possible avenue and took his time treating me, testing my reflexes and my areas of concern. He was very thorough. He showed me and detailed all of my x rays. The office was immaculate. Clean and very well organized. There were complimentary mini water bottles and some snacks for the patients. Great medical establishment.

So i called them to see if they could switch up my muscle relaxant and they said I'd have to come in again. WHAT! I was literally just there for the same exact problem and you want me to return?!? They just want another reason to bill my insurance, as if my first copay wasn't high enough. My advice- if you can wait for your primary doc- WAIT! I went to urgent care because I had pulled a muscle from excessive coughing. I had strained the back of my neck, had soreness in my chest area, and developed a sharp pain in my side. The pain had been present for several days, and I simply wanted a medical evaluation and possibly medication to help with the discomfort. Instead, what I received was fear, panic, and emotional trauma. Within minutes of speaking to Kandin Maraquin, I was told that I was having a heart attack. Not that it needed to be ruled out. Not that there was concern. I was told I was having a heart attack and needed to go to the ER immediately. If I did not have transportation, I was told an ambulance would be called. I was completely blindsided. What was most alarming was how quickly this conclusion was reached. I felt like he immediately jumped to the worst possible scenario without taking the time to properly evaluate me, ask additional questions, or perform a thorough examination. The entire interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and lacking any level of compassion. I was there less than 10 minutes.. His bedside manner was nonexistent. There was no reassurance, no empathy, and no concern for the emotional impact of what he was saying. It felt as though frightening a patient was of no consequence. I was visibly upset, terrified, and in tears, yet there was no attempt to calm me down or explain things in a professional manner. I left that office genuinely believing I was having a heart attack because of how aggressively and confidently it was presented to me. Even after an EKG at the office, did not indicate that I was having a heart attack, I was still sent to the emergency room. Out of fear, I followed the instructions and spent approximately eight hours in the ER. The outcome? No heart attack. No cardiac emergency. No life-threatening condition. The emergency room physicians determined that my symptoms were consistent with pulled and strained muscles caused by excessive coughing, including the muscles in my neck and chest area. After hours of fear, tears, anxiety, and emotional distress, I was told exactly what I suspected from the beginning. I understand that medical providers must be cautious when chest pain is involved. What I do not understand is how a healthcare professional can communicate in such an alarming, insensitive, and unprofessional manner. There is a significant difference between saying, "I want you evaluated further to be safe," and telling a patient they are having a heart attack before a thorough evaluation has been completed. No patient should leave a medical office traumatized. No patient should leave feeling like they were treated as an inconvenience. No patient should leave in tears because of the way a healthcare provider chose to communicate. My personal impression was that the situation was handled with poor judgment, poor communication, and a complete lack of empathy. I left feeling that my concerns were not thoughtfully evaluated and that the provider was more interested in rushing me out the door than actually treating me. Patients deserve professionalism, compassion, and careful communication. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things during this visit. This experience was frightening, unnecessary, and completely unacceptable. I would never return to this provider, and I sincerely hope management reviews how patients are being treated because no one should walk into an urgent care for a pulled muscle and leave believing they may be dying.

I received a call back from a woman who seemed, well, incapable of holding a conversation. I had 2 simple questions and she managed to make her answers so non-committal and unclear that I was genuinely shocked. It almost seemed like she didn't know how to use a phone. It was so odd that I just had to laugh it off and say goodbye. I wanted to see Dr. Chong, as he seems to be a well-liked provider, but I simply could not get past that bizarre phone call. I hope that woman is OK, because she sounded confused and quite frankly lost. I would not be comfortable with someone of this ineptitude handling any of my family's medical matters, even if it's just for the scheduling.
