If at any point you decide you no longer wish to have them go through with work, they will berate you and refused to refund any of the attempt of money (also they insist on upfront payment in full), claiming expenses while refusing to itemize or give any indication of what those expenses are. When the electrician arrived, he introduced himself (Dan) with a big smile, he put on his protective booties(raining outside) and started off with explaining the company background. Good information to know. I let him know why I picked their company, etc and he answered any and all questions that me and my dad had regarding the work. We needed a couple outlets put in, got a whole house power surge protector and a light switch updated. Dan gave us the cost, estimated time it would take to complete it and once approved, he got right to it. Once he was done, he explained everything and made sure we were good with this work. John came in…read moreon the day work was supposed to be done, took a second look, and explained how they didn't actually need to run wires, etc, they would only need to change a few things on the breaker and the outlet itself, saving us about $700. The original electrician I had called had told me the wire was too small and we would need to replace it all (without actually taking anything apart to see the size of the wire under the cabling) They easily could have taken advantage of someone like me who knows little to nothing about electricity, but instead, they did the right thing and earned themselves a life long customer.

Then, when he was 2 hrs late with no call, I called him and he said his kid had soccer. I thought I'd give him another chance thinking he just didn't want to say no when he said he would come on Saturday. He knew we really needed him bc my kiln was not firing and I needed service before the kiln tech could come. And so I thought he didn't want to say no. So we agreed to him coming Monday at 9 am. At 9:45, my husband called and he said (get this) he was late because he inhaled suds while in the shower. He said he was on his way. At 10:30, still no show, we texted him and told him to forget it. He never replied. During this, he wasn't answering his phone and his voicemail was full, too. And these were not even the first time something like this happened. Once before, a couple years ago, he came to give an estimate and during the estimate he fixed a small problem and said he would send us his estimate for the whole job. Then he couldnt come back to do the job bc he hurt his foot. Even though we now had to find someone else to do the entire job, we sent him a check anyway for the small repair he did during the estimate because we felt bad he had been in the hospital. He seemed like a good guy back then. But now I think maybe that was not true either. Anyway, I would not recommend. I don't like leaving bad reviews. But someone else one time posted a review about a company I was just about to sign a contract with. That person saved me from making a huge mistake. So now, when something is really bad, I do a review.
