That's how we found ourselves at Tuthill Lighting on a rainy Saturday afternoon in search of a sconce for our house renovation. Lights hadn't been on the agenda that day, but boy are we glad we decided to stop into Tuthill and see what we could find. When you walk in (to the oldest operating business on Monroe!), you're surrounded by light. Sconces dot the walls and larger fixtures descend from the ceiling. With all those choices, you would think that you'd get overwhelmed right away, but we didn't. Somehow, we found exactly what we wanted right away. Bruce, the owner, helped us out and put together a wishlist for us so we could keep track of what we liked and emailed it to us when we were done. I can't say enough nice things about the customer service. Talk about making the customer want to buy something from you! I don't think it's a spoiler to say that we went back to the store and bought our sconce. Bruce arranged for it to be delivered to our house and since our contractor was here, he installed it right away and it looks amazing. I will definitely go back to Tuthill Lighting for our next light purchase, whenever that may be. Best customer service ever, to say the least. Plus, when you get a chance to shop local, why wouldn't you take that opportunity?

absolutely fantastic customer service from Brent. he is the owner and he came out and checked the…read moreproperty, fully explained to us what the company would do, walked the property and showed us what he had in mind, and what it would look like at night had a few questions after he left so i emailed him and he was very prompt and courteous with full explanations in his reply. his guys came over to install the lights - they also changed all of our exterior lights (we bought new ones to have them put in) for a small fee (which was disclosed well ahead of time). one of the lights we had was missing parts, so wife went to lowes to exchange it. these guys could have left and said heck with it - we can do it later --- but no, they stayed back and prepped the light that needed to be changed, and when she got back, they got right to work on it. they took the time to explain to her and i (separately) how the lights work, the control box, all of the particulars, and what to look for, and that brent would visit soon after dusk, to make any adjustments to the lighting. well let me tell you, when the lights came on, we ran outside to take a look. the house looks like a completely different house!! These lights make ALL the difference - simply amazing investment. it really makes people notice the house without being too in-your-face. very very beautiful, even i appreciate the look of it, and with new exterior lights on the house itself, beautiful!!! i cant say enough good things about this company. very very professional and you will not be sorry.
