I went to the Dental Associates for a second opinion on some dental work and that first consultation was priced pretty steeply at $130 for a 15 min consultation and an X-Ray. However when I went back to get the work done it was definitely worth it. Adrian Tan and his assistant were very friendly and had a great "bedside manner". They made me feel extremely confident that I was in capable hands and was getting top-notch care. I would definitely go back there for more work, should I need it! However it may not be in everyone's price range at $440 per filling.

So I'm new to the area and I need to visit a dentist as its been a few years well maybe a couple…read more So I ask my neighbour for a recommendation and she practically sings "yes I do know a good dentist and I have been using them for years", so she runs upstairs and gets the business card and she says "you have to ask for 'Mayank'" make sure you ask for him, make sure, she tells me about 100 times, drilled it into my head. So I ring them up and do what she says, the appointment is all set, I turn up and I am quickly attended to, the dentist comes in and I have no idea if he is Mayank or not but he is very good, very gentle. He gives my teeth a check and amazingly says I only need a couple of small fillings, don't dentists always say you need about 50 of them. Anyway in 20 minutes I'm finished, no anaesthetic needed, I'm a brave girl. And when I go and pay, I ask the receptionist, was that Mayank, Yes it was Mayank, Oh thank god or my neighbour would have told me off I'm sure. Oh and very reasonable price too. If you need a dentist do come here, I think he also has a practice in Mairangi Bay.

Adam, the lead dentist here, is super nice, and never forces you into any treatment you don't feel comfortable with. He's also upfront about prices, and understands that most people are sensitive about how much dental treatment costs! This is a very good dental service and no wonder it's often booked up weeks in advance.

The reception & rooms are as homey and comfortable as you can get (for a Dentist) and Dr Michael Ng is extremely gentle, precise and kind. The reception staff are always pleasant and friendly and professional. My dentist always remembers me (or at least pretends to) and once we get to talking (before he starts prodding around in my mouth) he does actually know me as a person rather than just as a patient. I think my only qualm is they don't ask you if you want a bitewing radiograph (you know, that mouth x-ray that's so unobtrusive you almost don't realise they're doing it) but then charge you something like $70 for it. Which is probably totally standard, and I probably want to make sure stuff isn't rotting away in there, but by the time you've had your examination and teeth cleaned it's quite a bill when you don't exactly earn top dollars.

Not only do they have seven GPs who practice out of here, they also have visiting specialists like an orthopedic surgeon, pediatrician, psychological services, gastroenterologist and a cardiologist. It is something of a one stop shop for your medical needs in the centre as aside from the GP, there is a pharmacy right outside the door as well as a laboratory, physiotherapy, dentist, podiatry and acupuncture. If you live in the area they are worth of a visit.
